Bakery: Robotic packaging solution for high speed packing of cookies into retail trays

The video shows a unique pick and place robot system delivered by PWR for a client in the USA bakery industry.
The PWR solution, comprising of 32 robots, is designed for high speed robotic loading of cookies into retail trays. The robot line is capable of picking 3.000 biscuits per minute. The solution consists of 30 robots for product picking and 2 robots for tray placing supported by a 3D and 2D Vision system for optimal performance and quality control.
The 5-axis PWR delta robots can run flat stacked cookies and placing biscuits on edge. The product grippers can be easily changed over from running single pick to multi-pick. The grippers are suitable for a wide range of product types varying from crumby, chocolate covered to delicate filled biscuits.
