  • ‘Ocean Matters: Safeguarding our Oceans’, is an evidence-based awareness and education program that trains and mentors schools to collect, record and analyze environmental data related to climate change and marine pollution. This program is implemented by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) with support from the U.S. Consulate General, Chennai.
The Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) and Microplastic Monitoring Protocol (MMPT) developed by Deakin University in collaboration with Labter-Crea MN and Globe Italia are being used to generate and understand scientific data related to ocean health. Teachers and students are trained and mentored to conduct experiments and amplify their learning amongst peers and the community for action. One of the steps crucial for scientific study is data recording, as it provides reference points and helps track progress. Here's a detailed tutorial that will enable you to correctly fill out the datasheet for the Microplastic Monitoring Protocol Trial (MMPT) protocol.
