I think davy Graham created it but im not sure 😄 check out daijiro nakagawa. He's a good player who uses dadgad lots.

DADGAD was popularized by British folk guitarist Davey Graham, some saying he discovered it on a trip to Tangier in Morocco in the early 1960s, and it likely existed in North Africa and elsewhere for many years. It's not a “blues” tuning at all, it is what's called a “modal” tuning.

Just heard this for the first time and I couldn't agree more with all the comments, this sounds so out of this world, and so unique. I can think of a couple songs that utilise tapping like that, but none that make me feel quite so emotional as this.
