    Let's face it. Life is too short. What is the point of socking away your savings with the hope that "one day" you will buy your dream car? Tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us. "Someday" is not among the 7 days in the week. If not now, then when? Especially given the present climate with everything that has been going on in the world. I would not recommend 2020 to my worst enemies, and 2021 doesn't seem to be that much better either!
    So my point is, live your life. It's prudent to let the brain make the decisions, but you have to go with your heart sometimes too. Speaking of which, what can give you more joy (if you are into cars), than owning one of these exotic cars that you can take out once in a while and let it roar?
    In this video we are comparing head to head two of the exotic players that are still within the affordability range of the middle class, without going into the Ferrari-Lamborghini-McLaren stratosphere most of us are not destined to reach.
    Subscribe to our channel and thank you for watching this video.
    Our next video is a comparison between a 2007 Aston Martin DB9 and a 2006 Jaguar XKR Victory Edition

    Great stuff. I finally took the plunge and got a 2011 GTS MC-Shift last summer with about 36,5K miles on it. It's been a joy to drive, no issues runs like a dream. Had to replace the battery as it was the stock one, and I went on holiday for three weeks without getting it charged during that time. So no fault of the car. To anyone thinking of this car; get it. It's a lot of bang for buck. They are great value and don't depreciate very much if you look after them. Just make sure service history is solid and clutch in good shape.

      I think Jag or Lexus takes the spot. Maserati is overvalued. If it was bit cheaper people would buy it only for the engine for swaps if only it was great V8. The cheapest ones go for same price as the engine. Detuned in all aspects. Tamed Italian Corvette, if only they give the car all it got.

    Thanks for this wounderful review that perfectly describes this piece of art. Like everyone else say, this is a timeless design that one can still find in the actual models 2023. The sound, even on the "normal" SPORT is a concerto grosso. I own one in BLU MEDITERANEO and agree with you, a very special color that outstands from the typical black or grey found so often. The interior I have is CUOIO which for me is the perfect combination to the exterior color. The only complain I have is the "sticky knobs" that I am experiencing. It is ugly but I had that also on my Mercedes Benz S-Class. By the way, I also drive a lot motorcycle, actually a KTM 1290 Super Duke R, and the Maserati GranTurismo Sport is more fun when it comes to sound. All over, even as a geman, I have to say, this is the most emotional car I ever have driven.

    I had a 2007 4.2L and a 2014 4.7L both coupes. It's such a great car and you always feel special getting in and driving it. Plus it will take 4 adults, maybe for not longer than an hour in the back seat tho. You can find them pretty cheap used because they depreciate like crazy. Didn't have any problems with them BUT, if you do have a problem it will cost about 3 times what an average car to repair. Also, maintenance isn't cheap, oil change was $700 at the dealership. Maybe you can do it yourself or find an independent shop to do it for you.

    I have a 2006 GranSport 4.2 V8. It’s been upgraded with Larini decats, Tubi exhaust, Formula Dynamics Drive by wire, ECU tune, lowering springs and beefier sway bars. This car is an animal…for how heavy it is. People fail to realize is that this is a GT and NOT a Sports car. These cars are built for high speed traveling…150 mph +…all day long….sure it’s finicky, but that is just the passion coming out. Porsches are a penny a dozen…it’s like driving a Mercedes/BMW/Audi…..NO PASSION. This gentlemen forgot to mention that this is a 3200 Twin Turbo V8…a classic car. A lot of reviews of these cars are done with poor examples of the marque…because maintenance is so HIGH…but it’s worth it. I always get looks and thumbs up and everyone wants to race me. 0-60 -> 4.4/4.7 top seed 180+ with a normally aspirated V8…no hair dryers attached….just 4.2 liters and 420ish horsepower with my modifications. This car also pulls like a scolded dog and NEVER runs out of breath. So yourself a favor….buy a Maserati, a good example….don’t be cheap, do the maintenance and my GOD lose the boring Porsche/Mercedes/BMW/Audi blahness…..do something different for once. Q. Do you know what sounds better the Granturismo MC?
    A. The Grancabrio MC, because the driver can hear more from that operatic epic enngine.
    Both the Sport and MC are the best sounding V8's bar none. The Shelby 350 GT comes close, but no cigar. The early AMG Black series may come close, but are in a different category, far more brutal, less refined (more like that Shelby). Newer one have been neutered by legislation. There isn't a Porsche that comes close. The only Ferrari V8's that are as charismatic sound wise are the rare specials (Challenge Stradale, Scuderia, Speciale and Pista), the lower variants being less so (in everyday driving situations).
    I concur with you that these Maseratis are beautiful, soulful motorcars that will become highly sought after especially because of the link to Ferrari (which has since ended).

    • @ValEuroSport
      @ValEuroSport  Před 2 lety +1

      I always suggest to my clients trying to pick between a coupe and a convertible that the latter is a better choice. While generally coupes may have nicer lines, they are now as practical as convertibles. I for one always enjoy dropping the top on a nice cool day or evening. There is nothing as liberating as that. Plus, it's easier to clean up the back seat when you can drop the top and lean over the side, as opposed to getting down on your knees and try to get in the back seat of a coupe. Same thing goes with trying to put a toddler in the back seat. It's a lot easier when you have the top down. I do happen to have 2 GT MC convertibles at the moment. I beg to differ: this design has been around since 2007 and still looks new enough w/ a facelift. The Maseratis that look dated, IMO, are the FCA-era models: the Ghibli and the 6th-generation Quattroporte. When Ferrari had a stake in Maserati, Maserati made special and low-production sport GTs. Today, they make glorified Dodges with a Maserati badge slapped on the front. The only cool contemporary Maserati is the MC20, and that is both and exception to the rule and was initially intended to be an Alfa.

      @@sjb3460 I'm just telling it like it is. Maserati went from being owned by Ferrari, to being owned by Chrysler. This downfall has been realized by none other than the brand itself, and it has consequently received much needed attention - first with the release of the MC20 (which would have been an Alfa), second with the future release of the 2024 GranTurismo. The less Chrysler DNA, the better.
