@@JV-un7qw I believe almost all MBTs in Squad have range finders so the gunner gunner knows very precisely what the range is. IF he has the knowledge about a rangefinder 😬
@@jakubpipek2266 I mean all the MBT's in Squad better have rangefinders given they had rangefinders all the way back in late WW2. The E8 Sherman, T-34-85, Tiger I and II, as well as the British Centurion and Cromwell tanks all had rangefinders.

Reason behind is that the logi truck if got past could put down a hab and infantry get out to kill/flank whilst trying to attack the tank.
Plus we hat 2 lats on sight, so nothing was getting past!

@Random Clips Military gunner was trash yes! But i took out the logistics after disabling the tank because i have several.other people who could have taken over and if the logi gets past then it can set up habs or unload people to flank us.

I was a 27E when I served in the Army 20 years ago. I repaired the TOW/ITAS, Dragon and Javelin missile systems - I worked on the optics and made sure they shot straight. Takes me back seeing the ground mount TOW being used in a video game. Fun fact about the ITAS optics, you could "see through" some thin walls in a coolish environment. The person on the other side of the wall had to be leaning on the wall for a few minutes for their body heat to transfer through. It's how we accidentally found out the supply sergeant was having inappropriate relationships with the female soldiers

@@BigDGaming all the TOWs produced since 2014 are actually wireless lol. They use a transmitter rig that sits where the wire rig is on the wire-guided TOWs
@LOLHAMMER45678 well ill be dammed. Squad is however not set in current modern warfare. Id easily say its mixed. Not all the current weapons are standard up to date issues and same with vehicles

I feel like Squad should have a War Thunder damage system because being forced to shoot TWO TOWs at a tank is preposterous. Just look at the spall and damage a single TOW does in GHPC.
MBTs are i believe the only vehicle that takes 2 TOW shots. Everything else is single shot.
Id say they did it for a gameplay experience reason, MBTs take ages to spawn and arent fast easy vehicles to man.
That would probably be the reason in my opinion.
If you bring battlefield 4 with all it's balancing vs armor pen -especially top attack munitions still needing like 4 or 5 missiles to kill a t-90

Just a fyi, but on everything that's not American tanks aim for opening between turret and the main body of the tank and you'll ammo rack the thing.
The problem with squad is ever MBT is a 2 shot kill. So thats a frustrating component

Would be cool if there was a stress/suppression system that affected the speed of the animation; Could even add possibility of failure due to over stress or adrenaline.

It’s clips like these that make me wish Squad was available on consoles.
It would be interesting on console but console is bad for not having mics and squad really needs it, or the ability to text chat fast.
Where are these enemies when I play squad? Gunner had an eternity to smoke you with the coax and couldn’t hit shit. You took a lunch break to kill the logi (which didn’t stop and engage with infantry) before finishing of the tank.

The only unrealistic part is you aiming for the frontal plate of the tank. You can lead the missile to hit the top where armor is weaker.
Point and hope, solid tactic! Half the time I will forget weak spots when things get heated quickly

That tow didn't seem to have any problem penetrating, should have just shot center to begin with, would have killed the driver minimum.
I'm not sure if it's modeled or not in this game but there's actually a huge gap in the composite top center of the UFP on those where the drivers hatch and optics are
Squad doesn't have those game mechanisms. The crew is not injured, just the hull until it blows up!

@@BigDGaming that exact spot he described at the drivers viewport is the ammo rack hit box on the front hull. All it takes is one tow on that spot.

The scariest part of playing realistic shooters is when you are reloading a weapon that diverts your direct visual of the threat ahead of you. The whole time, you are either crossing your fingers or clenching your butt cheeks together or worse, BOTH.
You are absolutely not wrong! The suspense of it all and knowing you will either make it or not isnwhat gets me!
I feel like that tank had enough time to react and move out of the way of that missile but just decided it was hungry and just eat it

In old squad that tow emplacement would have ceased to be within seconds (no shade to the tow operator just how the game used to be). Sadly actually competent players were replaced with copy paste battlefield and cod bots during the big twitch surge. Kinda miss old squad the competence made matches really intense and in return extremely fun now its just which ever team gets the 2 SLs that know how to put a HAB down wins. But hey, instead of mandatory tutorials to unlock multiplayer and then optional ones to unlock the usage of specialised vehicles we get fucking emotes so the game definitely is going into the right direction. Also quick PSA for anyone who reads this and gets their frames fucked since the emote update, give the game more ram via steam arguments. For some silly reason the game is for some people using like 8GB of RAM at most when usually it requires around 16 due to the terrible optimization.
Not wrong, squad pre actual full launch was when everyone had the best players in servers. But long term players left because of all the broken updates and bugs and the frustration.
Its still an amazing game, but has a lot of issues. Update 4.2 was horrific and caused so many bugs. After 7 years its amazing that still happens.
