It'll likely get louder as time goes on. I fitted a normal replacement exhaust on my EB II, it was silent to begin with and now it sounds like an old 70s 6 cylinder!
Give the tip of that exhaust just a teeny little squash and oval it out a bit… makes it look like factory and blends in a bit. Definitely sounds nicer than stock, and I’m listening on studio speakers!
The wheels make the car man, looks great and sounds pretty damn good too. My first AU was the auto, current one manual, both the inline 6, you will feel a massive performance difference from the trans swap alone - typical to any 90s car auto vs manual. Up the AU!!
Best flowing and sounding exhaust would be Pacemaker 4480s 100 cell cat with a 2.5" with a hotdog/resonator (however you want to call it) and no muffler in the back just a 2.5" pipe. Would also be helpful having pie cut bends to keep the flow
Great video lads, well done. To fix up the clearance issue at the rear, slide a small piece of garden hose in the gap of the rear exhaust rubber. When you want some headers & high flow cat let me know
I did a middle muffler delete put a 2 1/2 inch flow master in its place and removed the end muffler,kept factory cat,sound deep crackles n pops but not too much but its good Azz

Question, if I order this exhaust, will it fit in in the rear properly? Is it gonna touch the bar? Did you install it properly? Pretty sure they weren’t designed to to touch the bar??
I am only watching this to see how "easily" you got the end pipe into the rear muffler. yeh nah. had the same problem. While bleeding my breaks and installing new slotted rotors yesterday, I noticed that pipe has slipped back out a lot and is leaking, so looks like I have to separate the 2 again and open up the muffler end? also, you need extractors on that. I just went cheap and got MPH with a new cat and every comment about the sound is positive. not crazy loud just a very nice sound, unless I drop it back to first in a tunnel, which just has to be done because it sounds fking awesome.

@@heckler3119 Easy one. I had the Redback 2.5" on my old AU, but with 2 mufflers, and standard everything else. Was only slightly louder than stock. Definitely let us know if you're happy with how it goes in that setup!
@@seanm996 For sure, the pacemakers and cat alone would probably increase exhaust flow greatly, I've been running just standard manifold and cat since I've owned it with a single muffler delete and even then it already improved the performance over a stock AU.
@@heckler3119 True every bit helps, I think by the time AU came out emissions and noise regs restricted the engine a lot. I've added a pod filter with bigger air box and pipe, small gain but I want to do the rest then TI chip it...

If you want it sounding tougher. Slap a high flow cat as well as som Pacemaker 4480s. Can’t recommend enough

On my Series 2 au i have a full 2.5 inch exhuast system with a hot dog and it isnt too loud but it has a nice tone.
