Hii! Hope you're all doing well and staying safe! Just to reiterate the topic covered for this video (and if you need a TL;DR version), here are some of the points for whenever your skin is going through a crisis:
1. After cleansing, start off with a self-check skin assessment. Take a couple minutes to observe your skin (does it look healthy or dull? Are there blemishes, redness, or dry patches?) and feel for texture (does your skin feel bumpy and rough, painful, itchy or tight?) By giving yourself a check-in, you can narrow down on the products you can use for that day to help.
2. If you have/felt some texture on your skin, try a wash off chemical exfoliant mask (1x a week). The texture is most likely a sign of excess dead skin cells accumulating on the surface of your skin. When there's excess accumulation, you can experience higher chances of dull skin, clogged pores, increased sebum production, acne. Not to mention your products not absorbing properly! For this, you can opt for a wash off mask formulated at stronger percentages of AHA/BHA (~10-20%) or a daily exfoliant toner (~2-5%) if you have more sensitive skin.
3. Hydration is key (toner + serum): After washing off your exfoliant mask or using a leave-on product, you can focus on hydrating your skin for the next steps. Using toners and/or serums can help replenish the lost hydration back into your skin. Also, keep in mind that hydration levels can impact your skin barrier's health (which can in turn help prevent most skin concerns we face like hyperpigmentation, dryness, dehydration, and acne), so you can feel free to layer on hydrating toners/serums for this step! (You can be like Ro and pat on three layers of the same toner haha!)
4. Seal in all that goodness (moisturizer): Finally, you'd want to seal all that moisture into your skin with an amazing cream. See what kind of cream your skin is craving at the moment - does it need a lightweight and breathable moisturizer or a blanket-like thicker cream? Go by how your skin feels and needs! (And yes - oily skin types can also benefit from thick moisturizers too!)
5. And as always, don't forget to apply sunscreen in the mornings to protect your skin!
And a parting note, remember to be patient and allow your skin to work its magic over the next couple weeks! đ
That's it! Hope this helps you and your skin! đ
Omggg damnnnn this is sooo detailed thank youuuu soo much đđđ
@@mehrinrahman1891 You're very welcome! đ
Relating to step 5; what if I think my sunscreen is what is causing my breakouts!! Iâm not sure what else I can do, I have to wear sunscreen every day đą xx
Your skin's glowy and beautiful fel!!â€
Thank you so much, Fel! Never felt this precious as a subscriber đ„ș (you actually listen to your subscribers!) I'm so thrilled when this video came up. Watched it first thing in the morning after I woke up LOL. My skin started to clear up after a week but it still a little bumpy. I hope it gets even better after this SOS skincare tips. Thank you, luvvv đ
Wishing everybody's skin the best recovery! Loved this video ladies! xxx
I literally have the biggest breakout under and above my mouth so this sos video is so helpful, so thank you sm love you guysâ€ïž
We gotchu! đWishing you all the best for your skin! đ
What helped you?
Though I know youtube shows very little, I love Fel's personality đ
I just bought the Haru Haru toner after hearing Fel talking about it for so longo.
I canât wait to test it.
I always laugh when you make self-deprecating jokes. Takes strength to laugh at oneself đ„łđ„ł Thanks and enjoyed your content today. Hugs from England! đŹđ§đ·
I love the Paula's Choice AHA BHA peel, too. Really improves my skin in 10 minutes once a week.
I love tea tree serums and spot treatments for acne areas! It really helps those big pimples!
Loved this very much!! When my skin goes a little bit wonky, I would take a step back and lay off all the toner, serums and actives and just slap on some good ol moisturiser for 2 nights and get it back on track. I find that striping your routine down to the most basic at times helps your skin to recalibrate itself. Then I would start back on my gentle exfoliating toner (mandelic acid). Thanks fel for the exfoliating masking tip!
I hope you girls realise how many lives you change with your videos! I have literally been crying every night because for some odd reason my skin has been breaking out like crazy (I generally never get any pimples) and no matter what I do, I feel like my skin just gets worst. Pimple after pimple every day and these are not tiny ones that can be covered, they're huge looking nipples that makes me feel super insecure.
Love the effort and time you put into these videos!!
Also I had no idea hydration helps wih hyperpigmentation, thank you so much!!
thank you for this. it makes me happy to see your videos. I have been using a terrible vitamin c serum for about 3 months, I realised 2 weeks ago than it's actually damaging my skin, before I used other vitamic c serum and that one was good. now my skin is a disaster, my pores seems huge and some areas of my skin a reddish and inflamed. 3 months ago my skin was way better.
Thank you so much for the update, esp. after that horrifying challenge. ^^
I super love hydrating toners too.
What a challenge jaix đŹ Love hydrating toners too đ€!
My SOS reset skin routine when Iâm breaking out now is using 3 steps at night and 4 steps daytime.
For day time
I use peach and lily hydrating gel cleanser, youth to the people Kale air whip cream, and Sonrei Clearly Zinq 60 sunscreen or Super goop glow screen.
At night I use peach slices salicylic acid cleanser, peach slices snail mucin wash off mask (twice a week absolutely LOVE this product and unique texture alert!), Abib hydration gel, and Urang brightening blue oil đ
Hi, where is the peach slices salicylic cleanser from?
Thanks for mindset is what I need to overcome for the stupid boxes I need to break down.đ€ My SOS is Green Tea Isntree toner, skin&lab's barrier cream, last is tamanu oil. đ„° Cheers!
A BHA toner is definitely amazing for helping reduce breakouts almost overnight.
I hadnât used a hydrating toner before until I received the Haruharu one and using 2 or 3 layers feels like Iâve already used a moisturiser, itâs crazy!
These wind down skincare vlogs are my absolute favourites!! I am actually doing my skincare at the same time with you in my bathroom! Yes you are on my phone stand right there Fel!! đ„°
My current faves are the Laneige cream skin refiner and the Purito Dermide Cica Barrier sleeping pack and for AM the Melano cc serum along with Cosrx snail power essenceđ
Just restarted my routine with a couple new products, even though I tried each of them for a month before adding another new product I still have a huge breakout on my chin đ I really hope I manage to get my skin to a better place!
My SOS skin care is alllllll down to Tatchaâs dewy skin cream. I can instantly see and feel the nourishment that happens to my skin. And using Cliniqueâs hydrating jelly also is great. This video was sooo great!! Love it!
Even if we haven't done extreme skin challenges I believe that a reset is always a good thing. I enjoy trying new products and sometimes I get a little carried away with what I use in a day. This can lead to some strange occurrences with my oily/combo skin. Toning is my favorite step as well. When I am feeling like my skin is in the danger zone I will do 2 separate toners, a serum that is hydrating, eye cream, and then a gel moisturizer. If it is really bad I'll add in a sheet mask as well to really lock in the moisture.
My recent SOS due to sunburn (fell asleep in my egg chair & I was wearing sunscreen) is Laroche Posay milk cleanser, Krave Great barrier relief serum and Laroche Posay moisturizer.
I love Caudalie makeup cleansing oil...sooo good đ
Yaassss, layering has saved me from many a hard choice lolđđđ
Recently I learned that cleanser is super important for me. A good cleanser sets my face up and makes my other products work better.
Yess! A good cleanser really does make a huge difference to your skincare routine! đ
@@BeautyWithin Hi Fel đđ» Love from Malaysia! Please share your cleansers that you used in this skincare routine đ
thank you â€ïž it was really greatâ€ïžâ€ïž
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching! đ
Almost 3M. Keep going!
AHHH perfect timing!!! thank youđđ Also have you guys tried sunstick before?
I'm curious too đ
When I have a breakout I use the Dr Naomi one night stand aha facial. It leaves my skin clear and smooth đ„°
I donât know if anyone has tried the Versed Instant Resurfacing Mask, but Iâve been loving that one to keep my texture at bay. Itâs basically similar to the Peach and Lily Resurfacing Mask used in this video, but itâs a bit more affordable.
Thank you for sharing! I was recently considering buying it due to the ingredients, hope it is a comparable dupe âș
Great recommendations and tips. â€đ
Personally I do a peel once a week or once a monthe toremove dead skin. I gently exfoliate gently my face daily, and use Mandalic acid toner. Sometime when nothing works for my pimples I would use neem oil as spot treatment.
Thnx for sharing your valuable knowledge with us đ€đ€©..
Could you please make a video on skin care for females above 40? Wt they should do n what not? Should they use chemical exfoliant or physical wt kind of Hyderating products /ingredients are gud for them, are essential oils effective for them etc..
Stay Blessed Stay Happy đđ€đâ€ïž
Thanks for this! My skin is wrecked atm!
Would love a review on selfless by hyram skincare products
Something that helps me with breakouts are benzoyl peroxide face masks. What I do is use the PanOxyl 10% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash and leave it on my skin for about 2-3 minutes. Itâs just as effective as using a leave on bp products, but not quite as irritating. It helps me out so much!!! Itâs still drying though, so itâs good to moisturize really well afterwards. Shoutout to Dr. Dray!
What moisturizer? I need something my skin is really going through it right now
@@marileorube24 The struggle is real! I use the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion on damp skin. I apply a couple of layers on my dry patches. If your skin is extra dry, you may want to try the Cerave Moisturizing cream in the tub. You can use it on the face and body đ€
Would love to know where they get all their beautiful headbands! Especially the minty one Fel is wearing here!
Does anyone know? đ€đ€
Hi! I just have a quick question: would you recommend the cosrx toner or essence for teenagers or both? and this video had some great tips :)

Hello! Are there any cheaper alternatives for toners? I have oily skin and textured and acne prone đ
If my skin is wonky, its because my food and drinks is off track (like caffeine and sweets overload) what would I do, i would minimise my skincare steps, of course reduce the sweets etc
Could u leave the peach and lily on overnight seeing as itâs only 10% AHA?
Where can we get this headband
Omg how did you know that nothing is working, especially during a heatwave when my acne are just on fire!
Can I use that products for my dark spots and acnea marks.. Please reply đ
Just curious how the dr ceutical toner compares with the im from rice toner? They kinda look like they would hv similar texture?
Ok I just got the komucha tea essence. It came very hot since it was a hot day and it rode in delivery truck all day. My question is.. is it still good. Does heat affect this toner?
Thankyou! This video so helpful for me†i was hospitalized last week and at that time i was too lazy to use my skincare for one week full đ after that my skin started to breakout and didnt even getting better after get back on track with my skincare routine..I watched this video yesterday, i tried to use mask with antioxidant ingredients and finally this morning my skin is already so much better â€
I wonder if you can make a skin care routine during retinol "uglies"? I am adding retinol to my skincare recently and the "uglies" are terrible. I am extremely conscious of my face and can't look people in the eye because of all the breakouts, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation đ I know it'll be worth it in the long run, but I just wish I can minimize the retinol "uglies" đ
Love from Nepalâ€
Sending you lots of love from NYC! đ
Does anyone know where to buy the lily and peach products in Canada? Thereâs no paulas choice too
My periods are rough! I get really good skin right before I start my period then I have my skin breaking out when im on it. Plus it could be my health. Not feeling so good
I was so sad when you guys were challenged to go without skincare! I knew what might happen and it can take a while to get back to where you feel comfortable again. A lot of times on threads and in comment sections I see some people mentioning that sometimes they give their skin a break from all soaps, creams, ect. They actually say soap. And I cringe because look at what happens when you donât take care of yourself đđŒââïž I noticed someone on a comment section about a wax said something along the lines of âso sad, what women feel they need to do for beauty đâ and I was kind of appalled because, why do people feel itâs all for vanity?? What about being comfortable?? When my skin is healthy and also sunscreened Iâm most comfortable. When I take care of myself I am so comfortable. The âitâs only vanityâ claim is the weirdest reaction to me.
I feel like i do everything for dehydrated skin but it never gets better :/ i feel so tight and oily at same time but i buy all the recommended products and donât see any difference

Could you not do both mask, one after another?
You guys are so great! I need neck help. I have been trying to introduce my neck to retinol. I started with adapelene because itâs pretty gentle. That has been good đđŒ. Last week, I moved to the Maelove Stargaze Retinol. I used it once. My neck is very angry! I had planned to introduce it by using it only once per week but should I give up based on the one use reaction? Thank you!!
Hii! Just took a look at the Maelove Retinol and noticed it's at a slightly higher percentage than the adapalene! It could be possible that your neck might need some time to adjust! I'd suggest applying a thick moisturizer until it calms down before reintroducing the retinol again. When you do, you can buffer out the potent effects by first applying your moisturizer then your retinol product. Hope this helps! đ
@@BeautyWithin Thank you for taking the time to look that up and help đ. I will try that next time!! I appreciate you!
Can we (users) layer Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Toner with Benton Aloe BHA Toner? Acne prone + Oily skin here, currently breaking out. Need help, SOS! đđ
Saw the title and immediately heard the Rhianna song play in my head đ
Indeed the lyrics are highly fitting đđ"This time, please someone come and rescue me

Atp idk how i had good skin before skincare.... like watching Ro makes me think damn, how was life w,o skincare
Do you wash your face with warm or cold water??
Love your videosâ€ïž
You touched the tip of Paulaâs Choice tube on your face when applying the exfoliating cream, wouldnât that contaminate the tip of the tube?
Probably yes, but preservatives in products may help resist bacterial overgrowth :)
i feel like i only break out with one or two pimples at a time but then as soon as they are starting to go away a new pimples just pops right back up. any ideas of how to help this. I already use adapelene and canât use any product that has niacinamideđ.
Just in time! after getting sick and not doing any skincare but face wash, my skin is getting awksnjevwkdmrqwl (can't describe it).
IS PAULA'S CHOICE AHA BHA SAFE TO USE IN THE SUMMER? I'm wearing SPF, but still. Please help.
Hii! Yes, it's safe to use during the summer! We'd suggest using the mask during your nighttime routine and then wearing your sunscreen in the following morning. Hope this helps!
@@BeautyWithin thank you
Sorry if you've done this before, but I'd love for you guys to do a only DIY skincare for a week challenge!đ My skincare routine is a mix of products and DIY so it'd be so cool to see a full one!
E.g. making your own oil blend for oil cleanser (would have to be wiped off with a cloth for sure!)
Washing the face in the morning with honey or using masks such as pure honey masks, oats mask (i blend oats into a flour and mix with either warm water or warm milk to get the oat juices out)
Clay masks straight from a blend of different clays
Toners from either ricewater or green tea
Facial oils using a blend of light oils or
Diy moisturiser! E.g. including shea butter
Getting enzymatic exfoliation from fruit masks or greek yoghurt masks, or even willow bark! đ Would be so interesting!! Because you'd still be able to treat your skin, but it would just be more challenging effort than you're used to and it'll take a bit of patience! I wouldn't mind helping out with the idea :)
Fel, do you still you the banished 2.0?
Fel, Iâm shocked you love the haru haru so much! I was quite disappointed with the ingredient list, and felt it was barely hydrating >.
Spearmint capsules and HUM nutrition pre and probiotics fixed my HORRENDOUS hormonal acne. Just fyi lol.... Ok now to watch the video.
I cannot get rid of acne. Iâve been trying for about 2 years and it is horrible and I just want it to go away đđđ
If I have active pimples that looks red and oozing, i cleanse my face first with Neutrogena acne wash, pat dry, spot treat the location with a niacinamide serum and let that set in and after that apply clindamycine gel at the spot and seal my night time routine with a simple light moisturizer that has hydrating effect only (No other actives).
â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Can anyone recommend a good SOS lineup for my hormonal, dry, sensitive skin? I went to Florida, used SPF 70 but exposed my face to saltwater, chlorinated pool water, and pollution. My skin is bumpy, pimples on my chin, pores clogged, basically... Icky skin! Please help me. I probably have most things on hand but I tend to overdo it and then it pills đ€ą SOS!
My skin isn't dry, but I'm sensitive. Whenever my skin were acting up, I just slather my face with La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume. It works well on me, even though the sole purpose of that product is for eczema. You should check their other product. Their Cicaplast Balm is wonderful too. Most of their product are actually for sensitive skin
Hi there! So sorry to hear your skin isn't doing well for you! Since chlorinated and salt water can dry out the skin even more, I'd definitely suggest doubling down on hydrating your skin with toners and serums before slathering on your Lipikar Baume (great choice for trapping in moisture!). You can even start right after you cleanse your face by leaving it slightly damp and using that time to apply your toners and serums.
I wouldn't suggest using an exfoliating product at this time because hydration seems to be a priority. But once your skin feels more hydrated, you can try mandelic acid or lactic acid later on.
So SOS lineup can look something like this:
Cleanser (Something like the Sioris Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser or The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser)
Toner (The First Aid Beauty Wild Oat Toner or any of the toners mentioned by Fel in this video)
Moisturizer: your Lipikar baume
Sunscreen: Don't forget!
Hope this makes sense! Wishing you and your skin a full recovery! đ
not youtube suggesting me this video when my skin breaking out rn. It's all because of the active ingredients that I tried :(
YĂSS!!!!!
Paula choice say to leave on for 10 mins đ 20mins that scares me đ

I feel uncomfortable about how this video promote toxic chemical products. Beautiful skin should not be at the price of poisoning our planet.
I really love your channel and enjoy your videos but i think that you two are just really trying to hard to be funny and that comes out like fake... In my opinion if you just tone down the fake silliness and craziness, the channel will be more enjoyable and real. No disrespect whatsoever.
When nothing else works You go to a good dermatologist and try to treat Your skin according to doctor, not a CZcamsr. You girls have no knowledge about serious skin concerns. If You have acne, like You, try a dermatological treatment for some long months, take so time from so many products that make your skin get worse. I wonder if You ever have been to a dermatologist. You might have had clear skin by now. Adapelne, azelaic acid, tretinoin and many other actives works better, try just a sunscreen beside and You might be good. Sometimes just the treatment and spf makes miracles. For a lot less đž. Tired of influencers who just showing all the time skincare and have no clue what the skin needs
Am definitely going to try all of this and take notes because I currently struggling with pigmentation on the sides of my forehead and poresđ©
