Hi Daniel, frankly speaking this blender is not maint for yam pounding, it is for blending foodstuff, like egusi, ogbonor, tomatoes and pepper, wet and dried beans, wet and dried corn, spices and so on. It very good at the above mentioned functions. Thank you man.
Sir, you are absolutely correct, unfortunately I bought the white package one at Alaba and as far as im concerned, I was scammed because it smoked and burnt the first day i tried to grind corn, what a waste. I wish i saw this video earlier.

Hi Dave, the jar is a hard plastic that is breakable. But it can't break easily accept some heavy falls on it.

Emordi, sure, it can, but use stabilizer when using gen to power it.
The motor watt is 800w. It's d blade rotation that is 5000w. The concern and most important is the motor watts. So, even 1kva gen can power it.

Thanks for this. I bought the one on the left from jumia, 4,500watt. Ever since I bought mine, it's working but if I increase the volume to blend high, I start perceiving a smell as if the coil want to to get burnt. What does it mean? For now it's still working but I don't like the smell
You are over-flogging the blender, you loading it too much, and reduce the quantity you pour in to blend.

SC-1589 Has 3000W, 3500W, 4500W 2200W, as long as it is SC-1589 BATCH it is fine but I think you should stick 3000W.
