      you make do with what you've got.

    Following your video I have assembled the same processor on the same motherboard and installed Ubuntu 24.04 on a 500GB nvme ssd. The installation( from a USB stick) took around 7 or 8 minutes. I have disabled Asus Performance Enhancement. My cabinet does not allow for any sort of significant cable management and I can only drool at the cable management setups I have seen on CZcams. Otherwise, it all seems good for now.

      Why drool over cable management.
      It does not add to the performance.
      RGB, cable management are useless to me.
      people who make videos about cable management don't always use the same computer, All they care about is aesthetic.
      And because most people only have one computer and if you need to change something in there, you will be messing up the cables anyway.
      This is the reason i don't waste much time doing cable management. So that next time if i wanted to install something or change some hardware, I would not need to worry about messing the cable management because there was none to start with.

    I wish you had shown the connection of the power led, hdd led, and reset button cables from the front panel. Do we have to worry about the polarity when connecting the power led and hdd leds? Does the hdd led light up for ssd and nvme drives also? Also it would have been nice of you had shown the cable management also.

      for led's polarity matters. but it should be easy as everything nowdays is labeled. so, you should be able to see '+' and "-" on the board as well as on the front panel connector.
      for reset switch polarity does not matter, you can connect in any orientation.
      As far as hdd light is concerned it should still work despite using an ssd or nvme.
      But, i'm not sure because i never use the hdd light. it serves me no purpose and also distracts me during the night.

      The one that i have are not addressable LED.
      None of the fans are connected to the motherboard so, I can't turn them off.

    Sorry to bother you again. I have an Ant Esports Si11 cabinet, their cheapest. There is one chassis fan powered by a so-called molex connector that you have talked about. My SMPS, Cooler master 450W has 3 molex sockets chained to one another. Can I connect the fan connector to any of the 3 or the first one on the chain? Thanks. I am using your video to do my first assembly.

      @gurribuy  Před 3 měsíci +1

      you can connect the fan to any connector on the line. It does not matter which connector you use the 1st one or the last one on the chain.

    Bro I am planning to build pc with specs i5 11th gen and 8gb ddr4 ram and same motherboard as you have and I also have my old gpu gtx 950 but I am not planning to buy new psu so my old psu i ball marathon 500watt will work or not please tell me

    • @gurribuy
      @gurribuy  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Why save money on the PSU.
      I think it is a very old model. It may be working fine but if it is old the capacitors must be old as well.
      Why take changes with your new build using an old psu.
      I suggest you buy a new psu at least 700w.
      once you have your system up and running then you can try your old psu if you like.
