    Again, really insightful video :)
What postal service do you recommend and when you first started out, did you think that people would be put off by paying additional money for the p&p. Feels like a silly question but I’m still in the testing phase and building the vision for my brand and I’m very much in the “will customers think that my products are worth what I’m pricing at”
    TIA x

Thank you so much! Really appreciate you!
I used Hermes or now known as Evri when i first started out but found the process was quite lengthy and it wasn't connected with Etsy at the time so it was taking ages to fulfil orders so i switched to Royal Mail around a year in. Royal Mail can be a bit rubbish sometimes, i have to be prepared for them to lose, usually 2-5 orders every 100-150 i send, or more at peak season (Christmas) but i do find them to be the best of a bad bunch when taking pricing into equation. For wholesale order i use APC network and they are the best! Super reliable and just cant recommend enough.
Pricing, i always charged for shipping, £3.50 on top especially when selling on Etsy or platforms as they will take a cut and you end up with not as much. But i just switched around a month ago to offering free shipping on my website only to match Amazon and to entice people away from Etsy where possible and i have noticed a slight increase in website orders. I do believe it has been because of this. So i would say IF you can afford it, its worth it to increase sales volume. But don't do it just yet if you wont make enough profit afterwards. I timed it to a month ago because i am now ordering supplies in such big volumes that i am saving money on my CPU so i can afford to offer that saving back to my customers.
For actual product pricing, technically you should sell at 4x your cost to public and 2x your cost for wholesale. If you are not planning on selling wholesale you could market your products lower which would make them a more attractive price for then adding on delivery.
      Hope this helps :) xx

@@WILDRACECO this is extremely helpful! I have my pricing formula exactly how you’ve suggested re- public sales and wholesale. I do plan to go down the wholesale route too at some point and I’ve never heard of APC network :)
Thank you for wanting to help other aspiring makers! Hopefully I’ll be in a position to give back where I can in the future too :)
