After finding this video, I found a similar style step chair built with steel tubing. Of course it would be much lighter if built with aluminum metal. The price would be more expensive, but I believe it would last longer, be stronger, safer. Wood tends to twist, warp. Screws tend to loosen, over time. I love the idea of this chair, step stool.

As it turns out (no pun intended) you don't even need half of the part where you sit... can be cut in half and flushed into the back part, the one that rotates. When the two halves meet, you have the full sitting area. . I'll do it in 1/8" rectangular metal tubes, and it will last 50 lifetimes.
to start, make the legs of the chair, put it on the table at a right angle. you must do the marking of the remaining parts after the fact, put the part (a long wooden block) in its place, make a mark and cut it off.
not sure WHY every video for this ladder chair.. HAS zero cutting list. NO step by step.. Or you will need this much wood in these sizes and lenghts.. NOPE every video is th eSAME just watch someone cut wood do this do that.. and dimensions at the end but in CM..not inches too. Sorry no like from me.. lacks tons of information
