Fishing for Big Urban Carp in the Tidal Basin!

- In this episode I go fishing for big urban carp in the tidal basin. It was a beautiful fall morning; it was perfect for fishing with a friend. We started our day early and were rewarded with a couple of beautiful carp. I somehow managed to catch a new personal best weight for carp. I am two years into carp fishing, and I am really enjoying chasing after these beasts!

Nicely done. That place is magical and one of my favorite places ever to fish. I may go back there this week after watching this video. Did you know that there was a 57# Common caught there in the late 80s?!
If you go back this week you might still catch all the beautiful fall colors and hopefully some good fish! I didn’t know that! 57bls that’s crazy!
@@Jonalexxx I have been lucky to have caught some nice fish from there over the years. It's just full of all types of species and you never know what you will get out of there.

Thank you! And tbh that reservoir it’s so big my best advice is to pick a spot and bait up consistently. I haven’t had much luck by the damn. Mostly the norther shallow areas
@@Jonalexxx thanks any pike lures you reccomned i caught one there on a deep diving crank last week just trying to find more lures
@@Skap91 honestly I have caught pike there while fishing for bass. So most moving bass lures will catch you bass. I have personally have had the most pike in jerkbaits and swimbaits, but caught my biggest on a tiny 1/8 once jighead with a tiny 2 inch swimbait. So they will surprise you.
