Washington Elopement on Super 8mm Film | Super 8mm Elopement Videographer | Cannon 310 XL

When McKayla initially reached out to me, there was no plan.
All she knew was she wanted me to be their videographer.
From talks of eloping in Wyoming or Montana, to the idea of me flying to New Jersey to them & filming their wedding, to even the possibility of flying to Scotland for a destination wedding - I was in it with them for the very beginning.
I reminded Matt & McKayla to really reflect & allow themselves to imagine on what they wanted to experience out of their wedding day. Through our many Facetimes & texts, I could tell they kept coming back to elopement.
Once McKayla found the Whiskey Jack A-frame in Washington, she was like "I want to go there!" and the rest was history.
Matt & McKayla are so sweet & they were so much fun to hang out with from sunrise to sunset. They started the day with an early morning ceremony with just the two of them & their parents. They came back to the Airbnb for brunch and their parents each spoke on the day & their relationship and many tears were shed.
They spent the rest of the morning sipping coffee, playing chess, playing cornhole & just savoring every moment.
Their photographer (Ellie Nisbet - who I freakin love and want to work with all the time now) and myself & M + M, spent the afternoon just exploring the area, the mountains before taking a break to grab burgers & milkshakes at a local drive-in.
We left Matt & McKayla after that and let them take a moment just the two of them and met them back at the cabin to get ready for sunset photos with the canoe out on the lake.
The day truly felt like a dream. It wasn't rushed, it wasn't stressful - it was just enjoyed!
