Finally ! Beginning of a strong rally for AMD !
What are the 3 EMA values that you use in TradingView?
20 - 50 - 200
It's so hard to put a value on AMD and NVDA. I wouldn't be surprised if the demand continues for years, or if it tapers off to something more normal as supply catches up. One thing is for sure, that neither of these companies is in any sort of risk of going bust.
Bust no but I don't know what comes next
@@CouchInvestor amd will probably get its stride right before a recession, or a downturn in chips like after covid. I have 9800 shares so I am a bit upset with the performance of my position over the past two years plus. My wife told me I missed my chance like I always do to sell some over $200, and that lisa su has already gotten wealthy off of amd and is set for life no matter what happens in the future. amd hasn't gone bust for over 50 years so there is much of a chance of that happening, but there have been many lean times.
Own both nvidia and amd and then let them have at it. I see both winning in the future.
I looked at the 2030 predicted AMD share price at $3400.00. That would be a respectable ROI in 5 years' time.
$3400? Cmon now
I got at 176/shr and stuck there .. hope it recovers
Youâll get ample time to DCA, load up
Hope is not a thesis ;)
This is interesting. Nvidia's SW Lock via CUDA shouldn't extend beyond training to the inference engine, so AMD has an opportunity here. Both via AI PCs, and inference chips for data centers dedicated to inference.
Seems so

It will take sometime for AMD to disrupt NVDA. The product is competitive and AMD certainly is thinking about the market holistically, i.e. from data center accelerators for training and inference, edge AI, data link and network, and middleware, etc. If you just look at the MI300 ramp, it is definitely ramping very fast. MI300 family of products was introduced 4Q last year and will only be available in meaningful volume starting Q3. AMD just did not foresee the explosive demand and it will take time for AMD to get more allocation from TSMC (both wafer and packaging). Allocation for this year and next year is already done and AMD will have to vie for more allocation in the future (perhaps by diversifying). There is very little doubt that AMD will sell every MI3x it can produce. AMD is in a good position as their product architecture is very flexible and able to adept to changing market and competitive environment, e.g. shorter cadence using chiplet approach and nimble adjustment to their product roadmap.
"It will take sometime for AMD to disrupt NVDA" make hay while the sun shines as rainy days will come. Two years is an eternity in tech. I fear amd will never get even close to Nvidia.
@@fred-ts9pb That's what Intel said. I hold both AMD (since 2016) and NVDA (on and off since 2003). I would not underestimate what AMD can do under Lisa at the helm. AMD is making the right moves. Just got to be patient and one will be rewarded handsomely in the long run.
Indeed, but AMD is doing well and I believe that what you mentioned above is also a key reason why Intel wants the Foundry business
@@fred-ts9pb Have faith, people also think like that until AMD surpass Intel in 2010
Take a look at Polaris
What's that?
The best chip choice for AI future is AMD
Not Nvidia?
@@CouchInvestor I bought a few shares of Nvidia with the pullback, below $20. I will not buy any more shares of amd as long as the CEO is making big bucks without creating any shareholder value in over 2 years.
Massive and awesome for AMD. $380.
$380 based on?
@@CouchInvestor my fingers crossed
I'm down 90% on my options . It keep going down
That's why I don't do options
AMD $200
Thought you were going to tell us lisa su was stepping down? Would be the best thing that ever happened to amd real investors.
She's the reason why you still have AMD today. Have some respect
@@CouchInvestor No need to have a proxy vote if there are not any dissenting opinions.
Another thing. If lisa su is so great and such, why are many selling their amd and putting it into Nvidia? amd has been dead money for over 2 years that is why. If amd had failed I wouldn't own any shares and just maybe I would have bought a relevant AI company.
AMD will surpass $200 by November

Worthless one
Is it?
Why bother buying AMD, just stick with Nvidia they are the BOSS of Ai
That's what I said yesterday
Nvidia long term
Nvidia may be the boss now, but they had its peak. A stock in the history of stocks havenât PEAKED consecutively continuing to win and nothing but. This fairy tale of NVDA may go on for another year then run its course . For those who were unfortunate not to invest in NVDA by 2023.. AMD is next.. not near as crazy as NVDA but will climb significantly in market over the next few years
