He's also sharing his knowledge for free and I feel he is worth something for it, I'm considering some merchandise...Thanks Anton, keep up the good work.

      @Yarblocosifilitico Před 4 lety +1

      yes! There's an underlying notion that progress is slow and gradual (almost unstoppable), but it seems that things change through breakthroughs, rather. The idea that we are the only sentient beings in the universe keeps becoming more and more childish ('what I can see doesn't exist'). It's convinient how Earth is so special, isn't it? Almost like a Garden of Eden created especially for us by a loving Creator...
      But we are accepting now that there's microbial life in Europe and most likely in Mars too, so where else has life found a way? I'd say pretty much everywhere. Not saying we'll interact with them but I just don't how we can be the only sentient species in the whole Universe (which we often simplify to the observable universe so we can actually think about it, but far as we know it might very well be infinite).

      Actually there is what we would call a "dark side of the sun", which although certainly not dark, does pertain to the stars and planets that we cannot see on the other side of our star. It's pretty cool because (before we sent probes) it had been perfectly plausible for there to be a planet orbiting at the same speed and distance from the sun also, but that we might not see it.
