The 2013 Ashes reminded me of my new job that year. A freak 3-0 win in the summer followed by a 5-0 hammering in the winter.
3-0 could have been 4-0 if Aleem Dar would have let the play continue for 4 overs more
But yes, 5-0 defeat next year was really devastating

Ian bell was in great form in this series. I still think he can play in England's middle order rather than people like balance or Vincent

It says something about how easy Ian Bell could make batting look that so many people could consider a man with his record to be a failure. He just looked so good when playing well that you felt like he should have been averaging 50 at a minimum.
dude I grew up watching him. He su eked in high pressure situations and was extremely boring to watch. He was a trash batsman. Great he scored a double hundred against the West Indies on a feather bed. He is a garbage batsman

it was an absolute joke they dumped Bell after a few low scores in the saffers backyard with challenging pitches and an incredible saffers attack... esp taking into account, as we now know is a fact, that during that time there werent any great england batsmen knocking on the door. The england selectors have become better but this was a shocker.. worst decision in ages.
