      They made dumb moves getting older and older each year by trading O'Neal for Kemps and getting rid of Jim Jackson Isiah Rider for Steve Smith... Isiah Rider had balls down the stretch to not blow a 15 pt lead in the 4th... the Blazers did too much trading instead of keeping some of those younger pieces and letting them develop with each other or trade them for a McGrady or someone, not a fuckin Shawn Kemp... that's probably the worst trade they made was Jermaine O'Neal for Shawn Kemp.. O'Neal became an ALL Star in Indiana that Portland could have used.

      I'm glad the Blazers blew it vs L.A. ... not that it wasn't inevitable. Pippen blew 6 of 7 4th qtr leads vs the 1994 Knicks... Pippen could be a flat ass clutch leader if serious contests got tight. He would sit and wait for someone else to shoot. And he was no Magic Johnson making plays to win late. He could stop after somebody handled the big offensive late moments.

    This Portland team got robbed. David stern and the refs had to literally gift wrap the WCF for the lakers that year with over 20FTs in the 4th quarter of those games 6&7. Sad what the NBA does. Well never really know who were the best teams under David stern. Don't forget that kings series the following year too. 40 FTs in the second half of those games 6&7 again against the lakers. Portland and the kings should've have championships in those early 2000s.

    • @JSwanKilowJ
      @JSwanKilowJ Před 10 lety

      absolutely. and don't forget the poor defensive decisions. coming off of Shaw who's a proven 3 point threat. it really came down to bad coaching. but Sacramento got robbed. they should've won game six. even with all of the outlandish calls, they still only lost by four.

    • @JSwanKilowJ

      that works for you? of all the times I've done that, I get responses about Webber's no call on Fisher in game 5 or that the whole series was just officiated poorly because no-call fouls by the Kings. it just seems no matter what proof I show, they dig deeper and deeper into their delusion to try and convince me otherwise.

    • @crazykayz3
      @crazykayz3 Před 4 lety +2

      Yup, Barkley was wide open with no respect for his 3pt ability, not lethal but still respectful. Francis probably heard it from Sir Charles after the game. It was a clear 'Barkley vs. Pippen' situation and Steve didn't even give Charles the opportunity to tie the game. Although Bullard (who's shot was contested well) is probably a better 3pt shooter..you have to give it to Barkley in this situation. Especially after all that this game was headlining to be and the feud that was built up.

    • @Theterminato2013
      @Theterminato2013 Před 3 lety

      Lol, so the Blazers can be a lottery bound team? At the time Rasheed Wallace was better and more valuable to the Blazers. Plus they traded O’Neal to the Pacers for Dale Davis which was beneficial for both teams. It allowed Jermaine O’Neal to get more playing time and emerge as an All Star with the Pacers and the Blazers got back a better defensive center in Dale Davis since Sabonis was getting old and sluggish. Davis defended Shaq better than Sabonis.

      Joey FL did u 👀 his left ✋(might as well have been broke this year,he playing with 1 hand and didnt tank this year) plus the lower back was slayed by then.pip was not the same player after 98 (plus he work out all year and he played in the 96 Olympics,he logged a lot of work out plus meaningful bball time by 2000).thats 6 rings hella playoffs and extended season (cause he and mike are winners)
      He was never a great scorer (never had a 50pt game or many 40)
      He was and is the greatest glue guy ever.did what he could with what he had.had he ever played with a guy that could average at least 25pts on a team after jordan he would have won more.on houston the big 3 where all old and injury hit and in portland it was a great mix of talent and vets and youth but none of those guys where ever number one options or at least just role players in star roles on this team but pip the only real accomplished 🌟.he himself was always a second option.he took teams as far as they could go plus this was the shaq kobe era (plus dr and td spurs) as that laker team was heading to a 🏆 anyway cause kobe was becoming more like mj every year.
      When it comes to pipens career u gotta have understanding on y he is in fact ☝ of the 50 greatest players of all time (not dominique Wilkins) 😂
