      Tifo Football just wanted to let you know as a football fan, and passionate student of the the game, this is hands-down the best football channel on CZcams! Also Im hoping Spain, (while being more direct) can recapture the invention, and creativity in possession and chance creation that made them so beautiful to watch back in 2010!

      Spain are favourites together wit Germany for me because they have huge individual quality but also play as a real team and have lots of experience winning on this level. You could argue Brazil too, but I think they are a level below those two.

      Maybe the most competitive, but certainly not the strongest.

      Rollerbear really? Are you sayin group A is tough? Egypt arent THAT good and they are the second best team in that group. Russia are pretty crap. Saudi Arabia i dont know that much about but based on there fifa rankings id say not that good. Uruguay are probably only top 15-20 team in the world at best.

    • @Rollerbear712
      @Rollerbear712 Před 6 lety +1

      Daniel Anthony Egypt and Russia aren't that good in general, but compared against Morocco and Iran? Absolutely not. Egypt basically has a Championship roster except they have Salah, which can certainly make the difference. Russia is playing home, but they have the talents necessary, I can tell you. Saudi Arabia is shit, I don't need to discuss this. Uruguay has Cavani, Suarez, Godin, Giminez with some players from La Liga.
      Maybe they're 15-20, but Morocco and Iran are 50 or below.
      Morocco has Benatia and Hakimi, but that's it. Their defense is great, but their attack is horrible. If they played in Serie A or Ligue 1, they would be relegated first season. Iran has one good player in Jakha-something (there's no way I can spell his name) who plays in Holland, but other than that, they are not even average.

      Its not about underrating Portugal , i'm Moroccan but i always watched Portugal Games and cheered for them as i like some Players there like CR7 , Pepe , Coentrao , Nani , Quaresma , but Portugal have always disappointed the fans at Big Tournement even the last Euro, yes they won the Cup , but do people forget that they played with fire 3rd in group they nearly disquilified if the format didn't have 24 team . Portugal have a strong and Talented Squad , but rely on CR too much on finishing the attacks and he Flop during some games In WC , he is my favourite player but i needed to be honest here , they why i have a bit of hope for my national team , we do have a Young and Nice squad but we lack a storng Stricker completely, so it more like if Portugal didnt play as expected then we may have a chance not the opposite . The performance of Portugal is main variant in this group.

      youb gragui to add on this Portugal only won 1 game in 90 mins in the euro. Undoubtedly the 2nd favorite in the group. However, they tend to slip up and that is what I am expecting. Tbh I think for Iran morroco would be a bigger challenge to get a win from than Portugal. This is just my opinion.

    Spain will get through easily. Portugal will struggle hard to get second place because key players are in very bad shape (William, Adrien, Guerrreiro, A. Silva, J. Moutinho and the central backs) and some new players who could add something to the Euro 2016 team were simply not chosen (Nelson Semedo, Cancelo, Rony Lopes, Ruben Neves). As portuguese i´m quite worried.

      It's true that in Euros the average level of the teams is superior. Just look at the respective FIFA ranking. The fact is that the WC pose a different challenge, having to play against less-known teams and that, unfortunately, somehow influences the mindset you were talking about...But I still think that the form of key players is much worse than it was in 2016. In 2016 you had, just to refer midfielders, WC, Adrien, João Mário, Renato Sanches, Danilo and João Moutinho in much better form (Danilo and RS are out).

      Ruben Neves and Rony Lopes had excelent seasons, Nelson Semedo did a fantastic first half of the season, whilst Cancelo was considered the best right back of Serie A.

    Although Portugal and Spain are favourites to qualify from group, I wouldn't totally rule out Morocco to spring up a suprise.
    Iran - the last time they faced an African side was just four years ago. For those of you who watched, you can be forgiven for sleeping during their match against Nigeria as a dire 0-0 draw was played out.
    Spain will be out to make amends following their disastrous 2014 campaign. Do you think they can top the group?

      I'm not feeling it for Portugal this year, tbh. On theory we have a damn good squad with lots of attacking talent, but on practice we play a very lackluster brand of football relying way too much on a very limited 33 year old Ronaldo. This team kinda reminds me of Belgium, an incredible team on paper but it just isn't that good on practice.
      That and I can see a certain air cockiness among the portuguese supporters after winning the Euro 2016. Hopefully I am wrong and we have a good run, but I just don't see it happening.

    Some of your mistakes:
    1.H.Ziyech is a midfielder.
    2.J.Fonte is very unlikely to start.
    3.Portugal plays 4-3-3 with J.Mario as midfielder and B.Silva & CR7 as wingers.
    4.Spain is likely to play with 5 midfielders(Busquets,Iniesta,Thiago/Koke,Isco & Silva) and a striker with full backs providing the width.

      Miguel Mateus & Ian Black
      Mario is a CM,Silva is a RW and Ronaldo,in Portugal,is still a LW so it's a 4-3-3,it becomes a 4-4-2 only during defensive phrase so that Silva can start counter attacks and Ronaldo can be ready to finish them.

    • @miguelmateus5258
      @miguelmateus5258 Před 6 lety +3

      No, I whatch every Portugal game and I read the press and Portugal and hear the press conferences. It's always a 4-4-2. Ronaldo and André Silva up top, João Mário on the left and Bernardo Silva/Quaresma no the right (the coach only likes to use 1 winger because he says 2 unbalance the team. Adrien/Moutinho and William play in the centre. We played like this in the Qualification for the Euro2016, WC2018, in the Euro2016 itself and in the Confederations Cup 2017.

    Tifo as said below this is the best football channel on CZcams, I love football myself and your knowledge of the beautiful game is absolutely amazing, also love the way you have put together your annalistic programme its quite suburb. For myself I would love to England win the world cup lol but that's not going to happen however much I would like it to. I am a big Ronaldo fan saw him make his debt for Manchester United and he is a magical player so I would like to Portugal win the world cup or at least get to the final. You can't write them off we saw what happened in Euro 2016 they are a team that digs in and battles hard and at 25/1 to win the world Cup its worth small bet plus they are 12/1 to get in the final!
    outside Portugal I keep looking at Brazil and wouldn't be surprised to see a Brazil v Germany Final! Either way as a football fan I can't wait to see a magical tournament and again thank you so very much for taking the time and effort to put on a very entertaining and informative channel, I have subscribed and look forward to future videos.
