Sorry guys but being a young singers means your vocal cord muscle are alot more elastic which makes singing alot easier,singers are just like athletes,your best performances and your prime would always be in your early days, what you gained after singing for almost 30 years will be the experiences and the vocal techniques that she could use as a way to be a vocal coach and train people who wants to be a better singers.
You may loose the elasticity of the vocal cords which could make your voice be less soft and sweet but the vocal range should be the same or better if you keep a good technique to not damage your voice, as for what I can hear on Mariah’s performances, is that she may developed nodules for not having a good singing technique.

The issue isn’t her technique, but the nodules that she had that helped her access the whistle register easier were never removed and cause her vocal inconsistencies. That and she barely ever rested her voice. Reportedly, throughout the 90s, she slept less than 4 hours a night because she was so busy recording and writing her music. That much vocal work (30+ years) has to take a toll on you at some point.

Extreme elasticity and power through the belting range. Then she had a difficult decade or so vocally after the early 00’s, but now it seems like she’s recovered some of her vocal range, power and clarity. Just not all of it. And I wouldn’t expect her to.
