A lot of people say the Versace Pour Homme fragrances are good alternatives to other popular fragrances (Pour Homme to Allure Homme Sport, Dylan Blue to Sauvage/Bleu de Chanel, Our Nior to Oud Wood). I think Versace does a great job of making their fragrances unique enough that they are their own fragrance and not copies.

The similarity Versace Oud Noir bears to Oud Wood is undeniable. I’ve layered both fragrances and they compliment each other quite nicely. I purchased this about 5 hours ago in Australia perfect entry into Oud for me, we in Aust pay retail for near most decent designer fragrances, but i picked it up for $109 AUD which is about $60 AUD cheaper than normal got home sprayed it on my hand and WOW love it, already have it ready for my SOTD tomorrow plus the cooler weather is coming so very happy i decided after a few months to buy it and bought it blind because i knew what i was prob going to get. On my way out I noticed they sold Bkss Bottled Oud i don't mind the Boss Bottled line although more the Boss Scent line but I will prob pick that up next week as I have a stack of good winter cooler day fragrances. To me it smelks high quality trigger wise im not a sissy sprayer usually about 15 sprays but might have to tone this ine back but really glad I got it, im thinking within a month if winter i will have to buy a back up bottle

Hi Steven. Thank you for this video. Quick question. You mention that this is a "designer" version of Oud Wood. Do you mean to say that it's made by a designer, that it doesn't live up to "niche" quality or both? Sometimes, as you know, designer fragrances don't have that "depth." I'm not sure how to describe it. But many designer fragrances seem like a "lighter", watered-down version of their niche counterpart. Is that the case with Oud Noir? Or does it remind you of Oud Wood in every way, both in terms of smell and overall quality or "depth?" EDIT: Synthetic! That's the word I was looking for. Does it smell synthetic?

Excellent review, Steven! I fell in love with "Tom Ford Oud Wood" the 1st time I smelled it. After that, I found that "Versace Oud Noir" was similar to it and put my attention on it, but at that time the 100 ml bottle was still too expensive... Now, I have purchased it for 52 € and I'm sooo happy. And, in addition, I find your review today! It couldn't get any better! I love your videos, you have a natural style and the details of the fragrance are always so well explained. Thanks for your passion!

If I had to purchase one from Perfumeonline, it'd have to be Creed Viking, love at first sniff but I just haven't gotten around to it.

If I had to make a purchase from that website then I'd purchase a bottle of Nautica Voyage. I appreciate learning more about Versace Oud Noir.
