The fact they broke up shows maturity. And reality.

@@deepakbhandari9545 i too thought that
It was a serious dose of emotional damage. And the fact that even if their families eventually accept them, it won’t look like that.
Me too😭. I thought it was real and was relieved for a second then PAIN AAAAAAH 😭😭
omg i started crying when uncle tong gave his goodbye speech, “one man can’t change the world. but i want you to know that this world can’t change someone like me either.” THE POWER THIS HAS OMG. Also these guys are the best criers on the effing planet. rarely do i ever cry along with actors but every time either Pat or Pran start to cry i can help but tear up.
If you think this is good crying you should see Ohm (actor for Pat) In He's Coming To Me he had some really good crying scenes and it has the same director has Bad Buddy it's a really good drama and extremely underated
I thought I was the only one who cried in that scene 😭💕
I swear to god I cry immediately when Pat cries. Pran's I can somehow handle. But Pat crying just has a bigger impact for some reason
i love how this series brought topic about it.
@@AKyaska its because he barely cries as he is the shoulder for pran to cry on
The “what would happen if our families weren’t enemies” scene’s answer being postponed until their episode is genius. The entire fantasized idea of how it would be was truly something, no matter how great it seemed it was still almost far fetched, bittersweet and unfamiliar. I will never shut up about how much I love the directors for this.
Romance aside, I'm glad that this show promotes taking care for the environment cause it really is important for people to know about this topic. Integrating important advocacies like these in popular media is the right thing to do :)

The way "I told sunset about you" raised our bl standard so high, never thought we will be getting more great bl any soon, but here we are, bad buddy really is one of the best bl I've ever watched
Same thoughts actually. I thought after ITSAY, many BLs will be like for fun and romance only. I started watching bad buddy as a typical BL fan. The plot seems typical. BL version of romeo and juliet. But as Bad Buddy unfolds itself to us viewers, i can’t even imagine that I will be this invested. The lessons that each episode teaches us. The portrayal of how a healthy relationship can greatly affect one’s confidence. The toxicity of generational trauma being passed from one gen to another. The fact that no matter how you seem everything is in its perfect place, with the perfect person, right timing, despite the healthy relationship that people have, if the universe wants to fvck you up, it will. But it teaches us to toughen ourselves. To be ready no matter what. To fight for what we want or for who we love. To stop being a person that others want to see. To be who you truly are. And those so far are the lesson I got from this series. Let us all be the Pat to our Prans or Pran to our Pats. Let us be each other’s person. So much love for this series!
Like literally after ITSAY hit our screen a lot of BL Series from other production house start paying attention to the actual story, and im happy GMMTV finally raised their standard (with ATOTS and BB)

without even being fully aware that they've broken up, ohm and nanon managed to convey that type of sadness in the last scenes together. i was tearing up unknowingly because i thought they had to return to such a toxic environment but in the end, they've actually accepted that they have to break up. this series is amazing with how they convey such emotions without explicitly saying anything.
No, I'm still holding out hope that the preview is a fake out of some kind.

I think they did that not just to please their parents for the time being aswell as to finish up college first and once that is done, they'll get together again (hopefully) 😁
why ? why do they have to break up I don't understand that ... they could of just return back to their family and try to have a deep talk and adjust with that why did that happened I think this as an end is not that great .

8:20 I'm coming back to this after watching the behind the scene and *I AM ABSOLUTELY STUNNED* that Ohm and Nanon shot this scene without seeing each other like 🤯 both of them expressed so much emotion during this scene without actually seeing each other but with *really getting into and being one with the character they're portraying.* I think I kinda get what P Aof's purpose was for making them shoot this scene like that. Kudos to P'Aof and OhmNanon 👏
This episode isn’t about them escaping their family feuding. It is actually them having a final bit of selfishness before they have to set aside their own happiness over their family. It really shows how both boys truly respect and honor their family.
It shows how much family has influence in our lives and how our own happiness does affect the ones around us. Life is about trying to find our own happiness without hurting those close to us. Often times, it is difficult to balance both. It’s either you become selfish and make those you care about suffer or you sacrifice your own happiness to appease those you care about.
Remember that your feelings towards others can affect those who are close to you; be that hate or love. It is a shame that hate can spread and hate never leads to happiness. If you truly care about your family and friends, we all must learn to let go of the negativity and embrace positivity.
Gosh you did good...😊
Actually, no parent can stop you from loving the person of your choice. However, if you love somebody, and you want them to have peace with their family, and you're willing to let them go because you want them to be at peace and you don't want them to suffer on your behalf, then that is true love. It would be really hard for either of them to love one another if they both hated their parents. They didn't do it for their parents, they did it for each other. It's not a no. It's a not now.
@@alanjyu I love it when you said, It's Not Now, In Time....the director is pretty good in debunking stereotypes...

We are on the same page.
I think the use of Our Song in this episode is the best example of incorporating a character singing the OST in a show, and here's why.
So we've been vaguely aware throughout the show that Pran has been trying to write a song, but didn't know what to do for the chorus. And throughout the show he alludes to it multiple times, and even sings part of the song, but never finishes it.
Fast forward to this episode. He sings it again, at the beach, for Pat. But this time, he didn't stop at the prechorus. He sings the chorus. And when he does, you realise that the instrumental is the *same one from the opening song*
Despite this being the first time you hear the chorus of the song, it's immediately familiar and nostalgic, because you've heard it before.
Pran could only write the chorus after experiencing love through Pat and being able to put it into words. But that song has being playing, subetely, all along. He just didn't have the words to express it until now.
He has loved Pat all along. And finally, now that Pat loves him back, he knows how to express it.
The first time I watched this scene and the chorus kicked in, I sobbed very hard, for all of the reasons I just explained, but back then it was an instinctual reaction more than me thinking about all of these things. I knew them without realising it because the song was so instantly recognisable, that's what makes it so special to me
Love this comment
EXACTLY how i felt, that's why it instantly hit home the first time i listened, sobbed so hard too, thanks for wording it king

"You might think one man cant change the world. But I want you to know that this world cant change someone like me either"

thanks to the novelistttt
THAT LINE WAS SO POWERFUL! I never cried this much before... and it's
ironic because it was a very happy episode, but it was totally a farewell between them, I'm broken.
That line also felt like it was a message for Pat and Pran. Despite how their family hated each other, they never let their personal conflict affect their relationship.
Uncle Tong provided the parental wisdom the boys needed. I loved him
I like this one too
When Pat said “thank you for indulging a silly boy like me,” that breakup scene would be the most beautiful breakup scene in the entire BL world.
I've realised that I went into this episode with completely wrong expectations. I was so sure that this would be an episode of healing and both of them finding the strength to fight back against their parents. But instead this was an episode that continued the pattern of Pran always lagging behind Pat when it comes to resolve and determination.
The moment their love for each other was revealed to their parents, Pat was ready to fight for them. And Pran tried to do the same, but it broke him. He's not Pat, he needs more time. And Pat tried to give him time, tried to create a safe space for them to stay together and love each other.
But in the end, Pat realised that Pran needed to reach his resolve and determination on his own - Pat couldn't substitute that for Pran indefinitely - so he sacrificed his happiness for Pran's sake and took Pran home again.
That final scene in front of their houses when Pat looks at Pran, desperately hoping against all evidence that the love of his life will change his mind and come back to him...that scene freaking broke me.
The next episode needs to show us Pran reaching the same resolve and determination as Pat already did. It's Pran's turn to sacrifice something of his for Pat.
I need your mind in my life, you noticed so much, thank you for your comment, it help me understand a little bit more ❤️

Agreed! The show isn’t showing real-world homophobia (even the fact that Pat isn’t “straight except for Pran” is way more LGBT+ positive than most BL) but it is still thematically tied to it. The idea that the world doesn’t want you to be together and being forced to sneak around is very true to life; not because of warring families, but because of homophobia
“Vayamos a casa” la frase que me hizo un mar de lágrimas
BRUH I SHOULD'VE KNOW WHEN HE CALLED HIM BUDDY 💀 BUT I DIDN'T THINK THEY WOULD BREAK UP OMG 😭
WHYD THEY BREAK UP
I have no words. I really didn't think it would turn out like this. This episode's end has shook me to my core. This isn't the typical Episode 11 curse, it's somehow worse, because there's no miscommunication, no great last minute tragedy or trauma, it's mutual, and it's their minds winning over their hearts for the first time, which is heartbreaking to watch. While I wish they had fought against their families wishes more, I also understand that it would've taken too much out of them to survive, and they didn't deserve that. They didn't deserve the generational trauma either, but knowing them they'd break the cycle. I can't wait for next week to see how they reconcile as adults. This is almost too painful for me to handle, knowing that they deserve each other, and all the happiness they could ever get. How dare the parents stop their children from their own forms of happiness? How dare they show no remorse for the suffering they put their kid through? Even if they didn't like the other kid, there's no sympathy for their own kid whose heart just got broken?? I know there's one more episode, but now *my* heart is really broken.
I'm putting all of my trust and faith in P'Aof's (and the BBS team's) hands, that he'll have the right ending, the ending we and PatPran deserve.
Ya I really don't want a sad ending 😭😭😭 I am literally crying I don't want a sad ending
@@angelsaju1634 I would too! But what if they make a sad ending then make a BBS Season 2 and make a happy ending there, I would want that too T-T
IMO, it would be sad ending
Episode 11 is still kind of tragic. I think it's the way it ends on such a high note that, going into episode number 12, it will be a very steep drop and it's going to hurt so badly. The teasers have already revealed that they break up and they meet up again years later. I'm sorry, but it reeks of golden blood, if you have ever seen that series.
I seriously wanna slap Pat's dad face when he said "You're doing the right thing" in Ep.12 preview.
Like do you ever feel ashamed? Not just about making them break up, but for all the pain they create on their sons.
The way Pat cried at the end. He was being so vulnerable. But what kills me the most, Pran didnt show any tear or even crying because he knew this would happened. He's always been realistic about how things would turn out between them. I bet he calculated everything already and he prepared himself for this moment.
But for Pat, it was a new-found feeling. It was his first time feeling so free and he didnt expect anything from the relationship which made it even sad. He fell in love with Pran without analysing what he got himself into. Just being there with Pran and the fact that he had to let him go must kill him. Even though everything going great in their relationship, its so unfair😭😭
*"You might think one man can't change the world, but I want you to know that this world can't change someone like me either."*
Undeniably the most powerful message conveyed in this series. This BL isn't just about romance, but it also teaches us about the importance of self-love and self-worth.
The part where Pat thanked Pran for being there with him and for fighting for their relationship with him, already felt like them talking about breaking up. It was so heartbreking to see a healthy and matured couple breaking up because they know they needed to face reality. This series is always giving us best episodes like every ep just keeps getting better and better. I hope there's season 2 or at least special episodes. I'm not yet ready to let Pat and Pran go. I'm just too invested with their relationship. Manifesting a lot of awards for this series because they truly deserve it! From something we thought of as a simple story with a common plot to topping our most favorite series ever!

Eu estou assistindo pela primeira vez. E devo dizer vai ficar na minha memória. Tão comovente esse programa, BL, show, como quiserem chamar. Pra mim diz muito, tem tantas mensagens. 😢 Eu espero melhorar como pessoa. É difícil, mas vou tentar.
I don't generally cry watching movies or series but uncle tong's lines brought tears in my eyes.🥺
And then they showed the montage of if pat and pran's parents weren't enemies i started crying. The last scene of pat crying at the end of scene broke me 😭😭😭💔
I still can’t believe the unfinished song is actually the theme song! P’aof you’re a genius! This series is good damnit! 😭😭😭 I’m so sad Pat and Pran separated but here’s hoping they find their way back to each other again. I’m so sad, it’s so bittersweet. 🥺🥺🥺
Yessss!! I just realized and I can't believe it!! 😭😭
yeyeyeeeahhh
I think Pat and Pran realized from the start that it wasn't possible to stay on the beach forever, and that Pran was too scared of losing his mom (you can see how often he thinks of his family throughout this episode).
Pat was always ready to throw everything away and run away with Pran. We see this when he was being so proactive about getting a job at the beach etc. Meanwhile, Pran has been thinking of his mom and family throughout the episode, and Pat realized this.
He could see how he would hurt Pran by doing this-- how much Pran would suffer being away and estranged from his family. He knew that Pran would stay if Pat asked, but at what cost? Pran would always be miserable without is family. So he made the decision to sacrifice their relationship for Pran's sake. Pat is always thinking of Pran.
The ideal situation would be if Pran and Pat's parents forgot their past but the two have already decided that it wasn't ever going to happen. This is hinted by their conversation in the beginning, when they were on the bus and Pat asked if Pran's mom would ever forgive his dad, and Pran asked "Would you?". Pat was silent cause he knew the answer. Then, Pat was saying how he was ready to leave and go to a place where it was just them, but Pran had basically implied that it wasn't possible. Pat cried silently, he knew they were running on borrowed time.
So I think they came to an unspoken conclusion that this would be their paradise before they had to face their situation and part ways.
I had to rewatch the episode to get these clues that the director has left throughout various scenes to understand the foreshadowing of their separation.
I would like to think that although they are breaking up, Pat is waiting for Pran, when Pran is ready to be with him wholeheartedly.
I just hope next episode they reunite or we are going to revolt. I'm interested to see how the writers and directors wrap it up nicely and dissolve the family issue in just one episode.
To add on: I would like to add that although their breakup sucks, coming from an Asian background I know exactly how Pran must have felt. This is a very realistic breakup and I think that it is refreshing how it does not stem from cheating, misunderstanding etc.
Although I find that I resonate with Pran a lot (personality wise), Pat stole my heart this episode. It's the way he would do anything for Pran, even if it means throwing away his old life to begin something new. My heart sank when Pat cried in front of the gate while looking at Pran. Pran seemed to be more resolved and sure about his decision.
Only thing I can hope for is for the parents to see how they have ruined their children, and eventually come around for their sake.
Roshni, I do agree with you, I suppose it is going to be like this, with a time-chance like in a Tale of a Thousand Stars ! The director has a message to tell, he knows gaylife, his message is going to be true love can surmonds everything, once you have found your soulmate, especially one like Pran that can look at you like he does, you will never let go !
THIS MAKES ME SO SAD
Same, very well describe.
The part when the beach is their only safe place makes me so emotional 😭😭😭
very well said 😭😭
No doubt that Ohm is such a great actor. I can literally feel his pain when he cries or he is hurting. He is such a superb actor. He is a gem.
This is the first time I cried over a bl series. They really portrayed the characters so well. I love how Pat always communicate his emotions and always taking care of Pran. I love how Pran always show his love to Pat and how he understands Pat. What a nice story. Im so happy that I watch bad buddy.
I cried so much. They did so amazing. None of the characters even the extras or background people are not cringy or act awkward.
Same i have nevr cry in any bl movies or series. But this one hit me so hard
it is going to be so damn HARD to let go of this series....Ohm and Nanon have done such a phenomenal job at portraying LOVE. I am so glad that I watched the trailer and became interested prior to this series airing. this is the first BL that I have watched weekly live and it's been a journey to say the least....I don't know what will happen to them at the end of this, but I have absolutely enjoyed the ride.
I am hoping they make a part 2.
Same...this is also the first time i watched a premier of a series religiouslylike tf and this is a BL genre i never thought i would pick up until i tried 😆
@@markbrown4512 s2 is confirmed
The “what would happen if our families weren’t enemies” scene’s answer being almost “postponed” until this episode is genius. The entire fantasized idea of how it would be was truly something, no matter how great it seemed it was still almost far fetched, bittersweet and unfamiliar. I will never shut up about how much I love the directors for this.
This series comes full circle all the time. All the questions left unanswered in the beginning are finally answered in the most beautiful ways. I can't get enough of this series.
I can never forget the message this series gave us. "Love your enemy", "Take your environment a good care", and always, "Forgive those people who made mistakes".
🙏🙏🙏
The relationship between Junior, Pat and Pran is so pure. They are so soft with kids. It hurts beacuse their parents weren't the kindest to them still these two grew up to be the most wholesome human beings out there. I ADORE them. The healthiest relationship I have witnessed on-screen... I don't take constructive criticism on this one. I will set everything on fire if these two didn't get their happy ending.
And Junior will be the lead in the future for another BL series. 😍 And the story will be connected to pat and pran hahaha 🤤😄

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! they better get a happy ending im not even kidding on that one
“You never leave me. You fight alongside me. That makes me very happy.”
Proof once again, the key to a happy & healthy relationship is the little things, as well as communication. ❤
I cried so much in this episode .. thank you for the beautiful and unforgettable series you shared with us. He is not just a series that you can enjoy only because of the artists who performed but also because you can learn a lesson from this series ... congrats to you Nanon & ohm by giving a good life to pran & pat's story I can say that THE DIRECTOR WAS VERY GOOD THAT HE CHOSE YOU TO ACT AS PRAN & PAT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T MAKE A MISTAKE! LOVE YOU GUYS 😘 I'M HAPPY TO SAY THAT BADBUDDY IS NUMBER ONE BL SERIES HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES
Ohm and Nanon really raised the BL bar's standard to the highest level. I can't get over every episode's ending. I will never get tired of rewatching this series over and over again, because why not?? It was beyond perfection, legendary, masterpiece and every good words that mayy come in your thoughts.. From the cinematography to those graphic shots, and the undeniably chemistry of OhmNanon is driving me insane.. Yet again everything was prefect. The acting, scenes, chemistry and everything they did was literally the best bl series that anyone can ask for!!! SEASON TWO IS THE ONLY THING I CAN ASK FOR NOW.
Yes it is or maybe i can accept if ohmnanon in a new BL SERIES. Whatever but i Just hope they get a good story and always be 2gether
I cried unknowingly in the last scene where both ohm and nanon where standing infront of their respective home and recalled the answer, its such a beautiful love and chemistry between them, OHM and NANON are so good and natural, I cannot even define. A huge credit and applaud to director, story writer every crew member of BBS. The song sang by Nanon was also so good. Again as usual the EP is hit. We are heartily thankful to BBS team for making this legendary series with awesome star cast and finally giving us our beloved pair OHM and NANON
I cried too....when Pat said "let's go home" and shed some tears, I cried alongside him
Why there is always pain in love weather even it is fake or real it always hurts a lot.
everytime pat shed tears im cryin dammit
I just cried when they recalled all their memories together, made me realize that love will always have harsh and beautiful moments, and that tear at the end of the song got me.
KORN AND WAI AHHHHHHH I'M SEATED
The red shirt scene was the official break up scene😭 the way pat said "thank you for indulging a silly guy like me" instead of saying "let's break up" then pran says they should go out and get drunk to spend their last day celebrating their love and pran sings a song about this beautiful love as pat smiles with a tear rolling down his cheeks
😭🔫
3:12 this definitely broke me, with the beautiful gratitude Pat delivers to Pran and the quiet realization that they'll have to return to reality and without actually saying the words to breakup or put a pause in their relationship. this is masterfully done (kudos to the entire team!) and arguably my favorite scene in this episode. no yelling or wailing or pulling of hair, but a beautiful moment being thankful of having experienced a rare love that's reciprocated, and to take steps to make the most of the present while they prepare for their return home. also, if you look back at the bus ride at the beginning of ep11, Pat realized that he and Pran will not be on the same page as he was willing to leave it all while Pran wouldn't. When Pran laid his head on Pat, and without him looking, our strong Pat shed a tear as deep down he knew that this vacation would be a watershed moment in their relationship. When I first watched it i didn't think much of Pat's tearful moment on the bus. On the re-watch, it hit me hard; our characters' decision makes sense when we add up these little moments.
13:14 Pat here has tears streaming down, as it's so hard for this typically happy-go-lucky character to taste such joy only to put it away and by his own hands no less; Ohm here portrays a heartbroken but thankful Pat as we see Pran's house gate slide open. Pran meanwhile already had his heartbreak moment in Ep 5 where he cried during the rooftop kiss. Despite having his longsuffering love finally being reciprocated, he knew deep down their time together would be limited and yet, beautifully life affirming. That's why we see Pran in the final scene having slightly furrowed brows concerned about the unavoidable pain Pat has to go through (without Pran), and yet Pran has a quiet determination on his face as he moves confidently back into his house and into the next steps of life.
If you see carefully, Pat gave Pran one last look before he crossed the threshold of his house, reinforcing that while Pran fell first, Pat fall harder.
Ohm's acting really shone in the latter half of this series, again fantastic delivery by P'Aof and the team! Masterful!
Wonderful analysis.
Your comment had me balling my eyes out😭. When I saw the preview for the next episode reality came crashing down as I realized they never got their happy ending
@@flavored_yuzu There is still one more episode. 🤞😭
@@flavored_yuzu it was very poignant for me as i had a healthy relationship where we both had to walk away for a while. that being said, there's still 1 more episode and if Bad Buddy is anything to go by, almost all their previews have been quite misleading! esta serie es una joya, en la parte donde el tio yod menciona, que un hombre no puede cambiar el mundo pero el mundo no puede cambiar al hombre, habla de la aceptacion que la persona tiene de todas las cosas de la vida y sobre el respeto que cada ser humano debe tener en todos los ambitos de su vida, como dije antes esta serie, esta inspirada en como ohmnanon se conocieron en la vida real (omitiendo a la familia de ambos, ya que en la serie el contexto familiar es diferente), pues hay varias escenas que retratan ello. agradezco a la gmntv por hacer esta hermosa serie, es la milesima vez que lo veo y nunca me cansare de verlo, porque encierra una relacion bonita y sana en el sentido de que pat y pran a pesar que haya problemas familiares y demas, siempre estan prestos a escucharse y solucionarlo de la mejor manera 😊😊😊😊 hay una cancion de nanon que el mismo compuso, antes de terminar las grabaciones de bad baddy, donde dice: "de haber sabido que pasaria esto no hubiera sido tu amigo" lo vi en el canal de sofi chan, pero quisiera un analisis mas profundo, ya que esta cancion Nanon aun no lo ha sacado a la luz, les invito a que vean su programa ella ha sacado y subtitulado todas las entrevistas de ohmnanon y tambien seria bueno que vean el poscadt de world Y de salmon, es la entrevista mas honesta que he visto en mi vida, donde ohmnanon demuestran cuanto se apoyan y tienen una conexion tan especial y en uno de loa videoa de sofi chan, Nanon desea ir con ohm hacer meritos para encontrarse con el en la proxima vida, si eso no es amor entonces no se que es 😊😊😊😊😊😊😍😍😍 amo esta seria simplemente perfecta
This one is especially for the moms out there…
In this episode, we’re reminded twice (at Ep.11 [1/4] 9.13 and Ep.11 [3/4] 1.27) that the beach is also a place for healing, and this was entirely appropriate given that Ep.10 [4/4] was the breaking point for PatPran with their parents, especially for Pran.
Roll-with-the-punches, live-in-the-moment Pat seems more the sort who will bounce back from conflict, but Pran, who internalizes everything, must have been constantly re-living the pain of his confrontation with his mom. So the healing in Ep.11 was much devoted to Pran’s recovery from his rupture with Dissaya.
There’s been a lot of hate thrown Dissaya’s way for the constraints she put on Pran’s life, but like Wai’s, her character deserves a second look. We KNOW for a fact that Pat and Pran’s family feud had forced them into rivalry ever since they were kids. What we’ve NEVER actually seen is Dissaya actively pressuring Pran into that game of one-upmanship. Way back in Episode 1 when Ming and Dissaya found out that their sons had come into contact again, Dissaya’s first reaction at Ep.1 [1/4] 13.38 was simply one of anxious concern: “Did he hurt you, Pran?” Contrast this with Ming’s first response to Pat at Ep.1 [1/4] 13.42: “Don’t tell me he kicked your ass.” And it was always Pat complaining about being compared to Pran and pushed to compete with him (see Ep.5 [4/4] 9.48), but never the other way around.
This shows that it was Pat’s parents, most likely Ming, who had always been pressuring Pat to compete with Pran. It also suggests that Pran fell into the competition simply because he was always being competed WITH, rather than because Dissaya had forced him into it. Dissaya’s message to Pran had always been to treat Pat’s family with disdain and avoidance instead. For example, when Pat went next door with documents for Pran at Ep.6 [1/4] 8.16, Dissaya refused to let him in - but while stand-offish with Pat (casting shade on his parents, but not at him directly), she only got angry after Ming stepped into the scene. And when she found out that they had been collaborating on the Christmas song performance in high school (Ep.2 [4/4] 6.44) - she didn’t push Pran to do more and outshine Pat (Pran was clearly doing more anyway - composing, guitar-playing, singing). Instead, realizing that the emotional and psychological walls she had built weren’t enough, she took Pran out of the situation and sent him away to boarding school (Ep.2 [4/4] 7.25). Dissaya had learnt firsthand how life can unfairly knock you down, so hard you can’t recover. Her maternal instinct had always been to protect Pran by keeping him away from the family of the man who had ruined her academic and professional future, when he stole the scholarship that was rightfully hers.
But with Dissaya being so protective - maybe over-protective - Pran grew up emotionally closed-off to the world, fearful of ever letting anyone in. This is referenced by his report card at Ep.10 [2/4] 10.03 - “He is a serious and hard-working child. But he doesn’t have many friends.” Pran also lingers a moment too long on the report card at Ep.10 [2/4] 10.11, as though uncomfortably reminded of his childhood isolation. So that’s why he shot back at her “Because you raised me this way, that’s why I’m not like other kids” (Ep.10 [4/4] 7.00), and it must have stung her so hard (that her efforts to protect him had also in his eyes damaged him somehow). Thus Dissaya could not help but lash out (Ep.10 [4/4] 7.05) - but this was more her trying to knock some sense into Pran rather than wanting to hurt him (as explained by Director Backaof in the Behind-the-Scenes video for Episode 10). Her immediate remorse at Ep.10 [4/4] 7.13 is plain (and painful) for all to see - but it’s also clear Pran is devastated by her actions, sobbing desperately at the rooftop in Ep.10 [4/4]. He clearly had a lot of healing to do when they finally got to the beach.
But even far from home Dissaya’s presence still loomed large, and we are given further glimpses of her character and motivations. The fact that Dissaya is an accomplished cook is referenced several times (Ep.11 [2/4] 5.05, Ep.11[4/4] 12:58 and Ep.11[4/4] 13:05), and Pran’s pride in her is obvious (he goes “My mom is the best” at Ep.11 [2/4] 5.13). At Ep.11 [2/4] 5.17 he is reminded that his own skill at cooking is also a gift from Dissaya, when she allowed him to apprentice by her side in the kitchen. The link with love and food is impossible to miss (reinforced by the flashback at Ep.11 [2/4] 11.47, just after Junior’s mom speaks about the unselfishness of a mother’s love) - and just as Dissaya’s sauce was spicy as it was delicious, her fierce temper was also a manifestation of her desire to love and protect him. So when Pran and Junior talk about being able to handle Madam Dissaya’s fiery sauce at Ep.11 [2/4] 6.28, we can’t be sure if Pran (who signposts his life with metaphors) is talking about her cooking or her temperament - but we know what both represent: the love of his Tiger Mom…
In any case, Pran’s healing process really begins when he walks with Junior’s mom by the sea. Junior and his stern but loving mom have an obvious parallel arc with Pran and Dissaya - we know this from the fact that she’s also transferring Junior to another school, just as Dissaya did to Pran in his mid-teens.
When Pran tries to set things out from Junior’s POV - “It’s pretty fun here. There are new things to try all the time” (Ep.11 [2/4] 10.20) - Junior’s mom reminds him that life is not all fun and games, despite the inclinations of the young. At Ep.11 [2/4] 10.33 she clarifies that Junior’s life options would be severely limited if he stayed on at the seaside, based on her own experience of growing up there - they talk of fishing and piracy, both precarious and, in the case of the latter, also illegal. Junior’s mom then thanks her OWN mom for being strict with her, because it had led her to a better life - and to the light of her life, Junior, as well. The parallel message for Pran here is that Dissaya’s harshness with him was really her method of shunting him away from the life dangers she herself had experienced in-person (Ming and his family).
Junior’s mom then shares that even when she is stricken by loneliness (as Junior spends his breaks away from her), her own sadness is secondary to her thoughts of care and protection for him, because it’s what mothers do (Ep.11 [2/4] 11.38). From this Pran learns that - hard as it was for him being sent away in high school, it would have been just as hard for Dissaya to have enforced her own separation from him, her beloved only child. (I’m guessing Dissaya had named him Pran - ‘ปราณ’, from the Sanskrit for ‘breath’, ‘soul’ or ‘life-force’ - because it shows how central he is to her being.) This is when Pran’s memory flashes back to his mom showing her love to him with her food (Ep.11 [2/4] 11.47), and the camera switches to a long shot of Mr. Metaphor, small and alone on the beach as the realization about the softer and harder edges of her love hits home.
So with insights from the beach walk Pran’s healing process begins drawing to a close when the bar singer reminds him, “…people come to the beach to get hot or get healed” (Ep.11 [3/4] 1.27). We know that music has always been a refuge and truth-teller for Pran (for example, the song “Just Friend?” was his outlet for unrequited love, and he rightly read Pat’s _ranat ek_ performance as an emotional plea pulling him back after their off-stage fight in Ep.8 [4/4]). By the bar song’s end we see that it is not just Pran’s rift with Dissaya that has been healed… We know that in high school making music on his guitar with Pat was the trigger for Dissaya sending him away, and that was probably why he gave it up in Ep.6 [1/4] 6.16, lest the totem of that rupture cause it to happen again. We’ve been reminded several times that he’d quit playing (e.g., Ep.10 [3/4] 4.53, Ep.11 [2/4] 6.38, and Ep.11 [3/4] 1.39) - but now that he understands Dissaya’s love behind his original heartbreak, the music on the beach (“This Poor Love Song” by Sture Zetterberg) also heals Pran’s estrangement from his guitar, and reawakens his music-making spirit once more. Just watch his reactions beginning at Ep.11 [3/4] 1.54… So no wonder the next day he’s inspired to continue writing his and Pat’s anthem (“Our Song”, that he started but couldn’t finish for the Freshy Day contest). I think Pran NEEDS music in his life to be whole (some clues at Ep.8 [2/4] 10.03, and Ep.11 [3/4] 10.51). Once fully-healed and whole again, he is moved to re-establish contact with Dissaya via a phone call (though interrupted by Pat) when he is reminded (from Junior’s essay and sketch about his mom) that his bond with her, just like Junior’s and his mom’s, remains unbroken despite all their personal drama.
TLDR…;)
Pran’s healing process at the beach was not always very obvious (unsurprisingly - his wounds were all internal, and Pran tends not to verbalize his emotions anyway) so it would have been tempting to summarize this episode with a throwaway ‘Mom bad, but I miss her anyway so we gotta go back’. But looking more closely, we see that even though the lady was in some ways misguided and flawed, bitter even, she was simply doing the best she could think of for her beloved Pran. It may have taken some special seaside magic to deliver this healing message to him, but Pran emerged healed in more ways than one, with his loving and musical heart made intact once more, and perhaps even stronger in his resolve to face the headwinds of their home lives once again at the end of Episode 11…

- The famous cursed 11 episode
- The break up for no reason / misunderstandings !
- The wify/husband thingy
- The forced kisses
- "The homophobic parent opening the door on the kids being intimate" scene
- Both leads falling for the girl
- and more ...

They also broke the stereotypical sexual role in this episode too.
it's very hard to imagine that scene. I thought it was okay but it wasn't, hopefully in the next episode everything will be okay for pat and ohm
I also don't get the heteronorm (husband and wife) role where both are dudes. 🤦🏻♂
Amoo
Look at Nanon's face as he laughs and cries at the same time. His face conveys so many emotions.

First time bl watcher here and i have to say pran's acting is phenomenal. There's something so natural about his expressions and mannerisms that captures the viewer. It doesn't even feel like im watching an actor rather a normal person. Literally every scene, he executes with such talent and timely expressions. Im blown away to the point i keep rewatching certain scenes just to marvel at his acting skills. Nanon's skills are way up there definitely. And when it's paired with ohm's acting? Fucking masterpiece.
I watched a few behind the scenes clips of these two and i was shocked at how they were exactly like pat and pran irl! I have never watched a thai series before and these two are definitely going to make me check out more.
As sweet as Pran’s voice and the song is, why is it so heartbreaking that make me cry. When Pran said “From two people who can’t be friends, without knowing it, we became two people who can’t just be friends”, that hits hard.
They can carry the show with eyes acting alone without dialogue and can still leave us with so many emotions.
THIS IS THE BEST EPISODE SO FAR. We get to see Pat and Pran be themselves and explore the depth of their relationship. The work, the reconciliation of junior and his mom, their thoughts about their family, their HEALING, their HONEYMOON, yes the SONG that perfectly captures their love and the REALITY they knew that's coming. Perfectly tied with that environmental issue. Oh gosh. Brilliant! All in one episode!

So I’m hoping it’s happy ending, I’m hoping it’s at least they themselves stay together regardless of their parents differences.
I am absolutely in love with this series. It is my all time favourite series I have ever watched, and I’ve watched sooooooooo many! 😅
They should live for each other and not there parents.
What a beautiful episode. And probably the first BL where episode 11 wasn’t full of sadness but actually full of happiness. 😯❤
this the emotional scene i've seen. im crying. i can't imagine how frustrated who watch this on going.
Who says episode 11 can be the worst? It's definitely one of the best episodes. Very mature, very realistic, very real. Kudos to the whole crew for this amazing storyline. I like how realizations and hanging questions are presented - very applicable to real life. Looking forward to the last episode - it will be a happy ending, no doubt!
totally agree with u. many fans are disappointed with this episode bcs of pat and pran decision, some of them said bcs bad buddy series is a fiction they should make patpran just leave their parents and living a new life or maybe fighting againts their parents tgt. but for me the way they 'ended' their relationship is a very mature of them as 19 yo teenagers student, and on top of that the only problem in their relationship is actually just their parents rn which is make it more realistic. even as someone more older than them i still can relate why they choose family over their relationship, like as much as i dislike my family but i cant help it to still choose my family first before anything else.
@@onezero1211 can't wait to see the happy ending this Friday. :) Looking forward :) :) :)
Just like a line in the song "come on, let's fall in love, again.." can you guess the title of that song? Let me know :)
@@leeescobal1986 u mean song that pran sing for pat in the end of this eps?
@@onezero1211 nope, a totally different song, try check "half life" by Duncan Sheik (not sure with the spelling). I mean, i hope the last episode this week will make us "fall in love, again" just like in that "half life" song I was referring.
But on the other hand, the song Pran/nanon sung was nice too. Very simple yet perfect description of love.
I realised in the whole series, they never said 'I love you' for confessing or 'Lets break up' while separating. They were always thankful, understanding, communicating and always in love with eachother. Such a healthy relationship. ❤️❤️
So saying "I love you" is unhealthy now?
Pat did shout in the stairwell scene that he love Pran. So "never" is incorrect.
The moment he started singing, I started to cry. And the part where they answered the question about their families not being enemies and them imagining it. So sad.
Bad Buddy shattered the “cursed episode 11” trope, and I’ve never been happier. 😂👍💕
That whole scene was an hymn to Ohm and Nanon's acting skills. How to break up without saying you are breaking up..they outdid themselves, me thinks.
i knew it from the moment they stood in front of their gates and said "good luck BUDDY"
P'Aof is a genius. No drama could cut deeper than seeing them happy and at peace together right before realising what they've decided on. And I don't mean this in a bitter way. I am crying but I'm loving it. Ohm and Nanon did such an amazing job this time again it has blown my mind. All the love and all the pain, we feel it too!
And the bed scene in the morning? Probably The best love scene there ever was and ever will be. It's so simple but so revolutionary, so Them. Thank you for giving us this, Sir, I am forever indebted to you.
exactly what im feeling. I mean they are what? just 20 right? it's too early to give up their lives for love. sure this hurts, but there is still so much to do and achieve. It would have been better to have each other, but not will have to work. there will be a chance when the time is right.
Absolutely. And they've fought this fight their whole life. They're exhausted and there's no way to go back and have it all. Not yet. And as much as it hurts, I am glad they decided it together. Also, this isn't the end, there is always next week, another hope!
I love how this series not only focus on pure romance, but brings serious realistic problems to discussion also. This eco-friendly project really deserve to be seen by more people and done by more people around the world. This director is a geniusss
Mad respect to P'Aof Ohm Nanon & the whole Bad Buddy Series crew for creating this masterpiece. Breaking all kinds of BL stereotypes, expressing hard & complex feelings without any dialogues, beautiful cinematography with great bg's & ost's... everything is subtle with a natural flow. No over dramatic atmospheres... i just love this entire series. Bit sad that it's gonna end in next ep. With bitter sweet feelings i hope they end up together. Please i beg a happy ending for those lads who lost most of their life time being distant becoz of their parents grudge. I hate it when fictional characters make me cry this hard. OhmNanon are such fine actors for bringing patpran alive like this.
congratulations said it all and said it all this is the feeling of this series it has the power to stay alive in front of us a pure reality that these two excellent protagonists made.

I knew the minute Pran said "Good luck buddy" and seeing Pat cry that they needed to let go of each other but I didn't want to believe it.
There are so heartwarming scenes that I just can't help but cry. This whole episode made me cry out of joy, pain, and frustration. The acting? out of this world! This is THE BEST bl series I've ever seen
😭💗
" What I do might not be able to change the whole world. But it surely changes my attitude towards this world. You might think one man can't change the world. But I want you to know that this world can't change someone like me either. " So beautiful ❣
The acting, plot, dialogue, everything about this show is just wonderful. It is simple, yet so natural that it resonates with the heart and touches one's core. I sit here wondering what I've done to be witess to such a masterpiece, seriously kudos to the whole production team! Don't know what I will do when the series ends.... I just wish everything good in the world happens to Pat & Pran.
