That house was built STRONG it’s standing the test of time and weather I hope someone lives in it again and breathes new life in to it, I think it deserves a family with the sound of laughter within its walls and children running up and down the stairs once more .
Just read your comment, funny I didn't read any, when I wrote mine, Alec is a sacred spirit One in a million you can't teach what his got, would be nice if other presenters could take note, Can see a shining light ahead success ,recognition is not far off,
And I also love peaceful quiet moments gives us time to purse for thought even if they were to be loud it wouldn't interrupt being in the stillness in the moment 🐬
This is a beautiful piece of Scottish history. All of those old photos' of a very happy family who once lived and died there. Its in great condition and you can tell it was once someones happy home. I hope someone restores it and a new family moves in. thank you for posting.
Not sure how property law works in scotland and UK but in Australia, if a property has been vacant for a successive period of time and council rates or taxes havent been paid in that time, a person is able to claim ownership via adverse possession laws, they must pay the council land taxes due in that time and can take ownership.....its something people should look into as it stops the decline of such beautiful properties falling into further decline...
Something soothing, calming about your vids,I am a fussy person, don't like annoyance, noise pollution, unnecessary irritating false presentation like talking to fill a gap I guess in a nutshell just as it comes a natural flow of energy, I carnt sit and watch any film But feel totally happy, relaxed watching use! It's brilliant , home from home and no bloody ads cracking your chain of thoughts, rattling your nerves, no terrible background sounds like on other channels playing Funeral music, I don't get why they don't know how to keep it real Just Thankful to you all for you 🐋💜
It looks cold and rainy in Scotland. Very interested home, especially the wood carvings on the fireplaces. Alec, I love it when you do a close up on old newspapers! I thank you and your crew for braving the weather. ❤️
Hi from Canada, Alec. Great find, really sad to see the family's life in photos. I bet they really needed all those fireplaces. My dad used to get the Sunday Post every week when we were kids, we loved The Broons and Oor Wullie :) Keep the great videos coming, love to you all and take care.
Dear Alex just to let you know I could comment on all your videos..they are fantastic.and great camera man and you do your thing with respect and you don't talk too much.thoroughly enjoy.you're the man.👍👌👋
I left the old photos there as a memory so people that visit can see who once lived there ! Plus I took many with me when we cleared the place out ! Good to see the old place still standing !
Loved the fire places, and some of the doors were lovely. Those old pictures were great, shame they can’t speak, what a story they could tell.Bet this cottage was lovely in it’s day,and the views were stunning out of the windows.Thankyou Alec this was a great video, please make sure you all stay safe.xxx
oh my goodness. The photographs are awesome! I'm sure a few of those people were right there with you. 👻 So cool. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Ahh man I could live there,I would keep photographs in a display and love and respect history of the house, all it needs is",a bit work and," love"its absolutely wonderful
My heart broke seeing all of those old family photos. You would think family members would want them all. All those lives. Also, I like you all having respect for the property and leaving it just as you found it.
Look like people cleared out all the furniture. And left all the pictures of the family. Pictures can never be replaced. Unless you have negatives. I'm sure there's not any. The pictures were very old. Was a nice place when it was newer. Nice to look through it now. The sewing machine sitting outside. Is an antique. This should have been kept inside. All of you be careful and have a good evening.
What beautifull cottage. Pretty interesting to know how the people used to live in ancient times ! Show us more please. Best wishes from Brazil, São Paulo !!!!
This would still be a beautiful livable home with some debris removal, repair work, paint , and cleaning up . It's always sad to see all the photos left behind by the previous owner/ occupant. Can't beleive someone would leave them behind. 😯 and the singer sewing machine just sitting out in the weather. This was a very good explore.
Such a shame that the house was abandoned . Even more for the pictures that were left behind & one's that were just scattered about . The house could be made really beautiful wish I knew who owns it . Such a real shame
Thx Alec , another cool explore mate, loving all the old Victorian cast iron fire places, shame the out building where all locked up probably all the good stuff was stored in em .
The house is amazing I would love to fix it and live there! To leave that sewing machine from the late 1800 s outside is a sin, I have a Singer and a Home treadle machines and love them. I am in a wheelchair and just found out I can get a hand crank attached so I can use them! Thanks and be safe!
I liked how you let the place be the focus and you weren’t talking throughout the entire exploration. Don’t get me wrong, I love your voice! The photographs on the floor really saddened me. I wanted you to pick them up and just keep them safe. Really enjoying your video! Subscribed 👍👍
After much research my granddaughter traced our heritage back to King James and Mary Queen of Scots. If I had the money and the chance, I would snap that up ,restore it and live out my days happily there. I always wondered why I was drawn to the sound of bagpipes. Now I know 🏴🏴
Looks like they burnt the furniture. Full of woodworm maybe. Hopefully they have been giving it a clearout prior to some family member coming to live there with all the clan photos. They shouldn't have put that old sewing machine out like that. Apart from the historical value, you can get good money for those. They have enough sheds they could leave it in. I don't think that place is exactly abandoned, just not occupied right now. It's a new roof on the outhouse & new bolts on the doors & the bonfire was recent.
Nice old place but the chimney needs sorting out. Hope someone from the family will get the photos, or a local history project maybe. That fire-place with the gold decoration on is grand.
Nice farmhouse. Quality wood doors, trim, and fireplaces throughout. Shame it's standing empty like so many rural places are these days, losing yet another bit of history. Beautiful views, don't get that in crowded urban areas. Not surprised about the pictures, no one wants them anymore. We have 2 huge boxes of family pics in our basement from my husband's folk's house. No one wants them in his family, either. Sad. Thanks for the explore, nice spot.
Great explore and wonderfully kept interior which obviously hadn’t been visited for years. Amazing blue gilt fireplace as well. At this point I’m wondering why the hell Scotland has so many amazing places just left abandoned or whether it’s just that you guys are super sleuths tracking them down!
Nice looking fireplaces and mantels, surprised no no removed them...hey! Is that water I hear running in the bathroom? 🤣 Did Mark used their toilet again? Glad you folks got in..glad you didn't fall again Alex. I will always hit that Like👍🏻Button Alex, no matter the outcome. Love watching you folks do the, Mission Impossible.💕 😁👍🏻
Well... Yes and No... The window was left unlocked! However... They did not Break anything on entering. As for Trespass? Well!? Fly by Night Activities? 😂...

Had my eye on this place for a couple of years but wasn't 100% sure it was abandoned. It used to have a car parked outside but that was removed and it looked like they burned the contents of the cottage in the garden
@@ExploringwithAlec a friend went a few weeks back and it's been totally cleared, all the photos and that are gone and looked like it was getting done up

Ok 👌 I know I will get flack for this BUT in my opinion this is NOT Exploring! Going through a window to a house 🏠 that had door entries LOCKED 🔒 is breaking & entering as well as trespassing ... generally I do enjoy watching exploration videos of abandon buildings but for some reason this one really didn’t sit well with me 😶
Box those photos up please and take to your local historical society for save keeping. Put the address on box where they came from. Just drop the box on the door step for the historical society to find. Many folks are doing their family trees and they were be so treasured by someone. Usually historical societies appreciate these kind of things and the photos should probably be safe there.
Cool vid, lovely fireplaces and views. I'm left wondering if Mark is more intelligent after having smacked his head on the wall. 🤣🤣 Salutations from sunnyish Buenos Aires.
Strange that they absolutely everything but left family pictures! I don't understand why, but it seems like the young folks these days don't care about their ancestors. I've noticed that amongst the young folks in my family, too. It's strange and sad.

L A I agree. The family didn’t leave the pictures that way, someone else did when snooping. At least you guys are respectful not to destroy.
Totally agree.. Those photos left like that is sacrilege.. They need to be packed up and handed into a historical dept or family found
I would have loved a good look through the photos. It really is such a shame they have not been passed down to family'
Those photos were someone's memories. With upgrading, would make a nice family home. Thanks for sharing 👍
