Wow.......LTJ Bukem is seriously a maniac genius. I can't even come close to this. My music still has alot of improvements to make. I live in Dallas, Tx so the ambient is much different here, so tht doesnt help much.............
Money, Effort, Time Constraints, Lost Files, Lost Interest/No Motivation/Want to move on, Uncleared Samples, etc. There's usually good reason for unreleased tracks staying unreleased.
@@philadams9254 None of the above. Bukem was notorious for sitting on tracks. There dubs of this floating about though, I remember Dj Tayla playing it.
This has to be one of Bukems BEST tunes, hands down! I've heard pretty much all of them, but this would easily come almost right at the top! How can he not have released this? They say Horizons is one of the best DnB tracks ever made, but listen to THIS!!
Trace played this on Kool FM in 1993. He also had a dub of Atmospherical Jubilancy. Not many can say that. Trace was wicked. Him and Bukem shared tunes, hence Bukem had a plate of ‘Definition of Living’
Yea Flying Lotus is sick, and I bet you ANY money that a lot of his more "atmospheric" tunes with the mystical chords where influenced by the sound of oldskool Jungle & DnB, and underground hip-hop. Check the soundtrack to Silent Hill 2, thats very much in the same flavour, but in a more soundtracky way. One of the best game soundtracks ever made IMO!
Okay ... So, this badass piece of soul never saw a release. BUT, Coolin Out did...and that is one of the best tunes DW ever created. I have no issue with unreleased tunes...if that were you wouldn't you want to have something that separates you from 'the rest'
+Steven Champion Having an unreleased tune separates you from others? I don't think Bukem's stock would be any different if this tune came out or not, he's a legend regardless. At the time I can understand, but we're 20 years down the line and DNB isn't even the same tempo anymore. He isn't gonna lose bookings if Joe Public has this. Back then the good DJ's got to the top, now it's just the good producers getting the bookings and they're not necessarily good DJ's. They just have unique tunes to draw from. The big thing is that he still has the DAT for it. Music should never be lost, like Trace's Definition Of Living dub.
Huh the MODULE OF MECHANICAL EFFICIENCY!!!!!! PERFECT !!!!!! I REMEMBER SAYING TO DAN AND CONRAD ONE DAY WHY DON'T YOU PUT THIS OUT,,,,AND CORAD JUST TURNED ROUND AND GIMMIE THAT LOOK !!!!!! 'SOOO WHAAAAAAT SI !!!!!!! THAT LOOK I,D SEEN SOOOOOO MANY TIMES WHEN I,D ASKED THAT DAME QUESTION!!!!!!! BUKEM BINNED THOUSANDS OF TUNES LIKE THIS AND I'M SO LUCKY TO HAVE KNOWN DANNY WILLIAMS AND CONRAD THOMPSON COS I STILL HAVE MANY OF THESE UNRELEASED TUNES !!!!!!!! THANX KEMISTRY (AND STORM) YOU ARE MISSED TERRIBLY !!!!!!!!!!! THE MILK BAR 1994/1996 !!!!!!!!!!
All the pioneers must have stacks of unreleased tracks they are just sitting on. Any of those that whine about not making record sales anymore should just press up their old dats. Bukem, Rupert, Dillinja... There's enough stashed away at Music House to keep the 93-94 flame burning.
omarfrancis Check out Deep Jungle label on bandcamp. It's old producers digging into their archives and releasing old material to vinyl. All releases have a backstory to them about the journey of rediscovery.
Imagine working at Music House in the 90s... some of the stuff you'd get to hear man...
Such a fantastic song
I finally.. finally.. found it..

LTJ BUKEM is the best, very talented unusual Drum n Base, saw him last year in DC at Flash Club. Have been listening to his music since the 90s.
This brings me to a place/space that i remember from the past, but am currently unable to fully grasp. Anyone else?
Yeah, well life moves on and things change ya know?
Yes absolutely.
@@tjtj2546 Wait, really?
this is gorgeous - why the hell wouldn't bukem put this out?
