- It's time for our March 2024 Birthday Card of the Month Tutorial. Today we're creating a feminine, shabby chic card with Stamperia Romance Forever collection.

Basic Card Measurements:
5 1/8" x 7 1/4" top fold card base:
Join (2) 5 1/8" x 8 1/2" panels of soft pink cardstock with 1/4" Scor-Tape.
Score on the long side at 7 1/4" and 7 1/2".
Fold on the 7 1/2" score line and score at 7 1/8" and 7 3/8.
For the box pocket sides: 8 1/2" x 3" panel of soft pink. Score on the right at 1/4" and 1/2". Fold on the 1/2" score line and measure over to 5 1/8". Score at 5 1/8", 5 3/8", and 5 5/8". Trim away the excess. Fold sides to form the side of the box pocket.
Cardstock liners (lilac)
(3) 5" x 7" soft pink front cover, inside
(1) 4 7/8" x 2 7/8" soft pink
Patterned paper:
(1) 4 7/8" x 6 7/8" front cover
(1) 8" x 6 7/8" scored at 4 7/8" for the top
(1) 4 7/8" x 4 3/4" for the bottom
(1) 4 3/4" x 2 3/4" for pocket
There must be some sort of recognition for the numerous ways you have taught us to create useful and beautiful pockets on projects...thank you! I really like that you chose to use a color coordinated ink for edge distressing (as opposed to the standard Vintage Photo or a similar brown tone)...this one is perfect for the colors of this project. LOVE the flat lace on back of the bookmark!! I have recently acquired several flat lace fabrics and I'll definitely use this bookmark example in future...good timing, Kathy! Adding the ribbon and string to that corner made such a lovely difference...good design decision. Such a soft and beautiful card front...makes me smile as I take a closer look at the still photos. Well done!
Awww...thanks, Martie! I do love pockets...and I blame it on my mom. She sewed all the pockets on my clothes shut when I was a girl. Probably because I had 3 older brothers and she had found one too many unwelcome surprises in the laundry. LOL

Hi Kathy! I love watching you create. This project is absolutely gorgeous. I love this Stamperia paper. Hopefully, one of these days I can get back to making cards again. Life is sometimes just too busy. I have a Heartfelt Creations collection out on my table and have started a card. But I haven’t got to work on it much. This is a really busy week for us.
