The System is an American synthpop duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Mic Murphy and seasoned session keyboardist David Frank. The band was founded in 1982 in New York and backed up by Paul Pesco on electric guitar and Kris Khellow - keyboards, synthesizers. Sometimes the group is referred to as an "emotio-electro" band because of their hi-tech, synthesizer-driven sound mated to passionate vocals and sensitive lyrics. - Hudba
Dave Frank was such a badass at synth programming. He and Mic Murphy deserve way more credit than they ever recieved.

One of the best soul song of our time , well done the system.
I bought this album when it came it. This is one of my most favorite undiscovered songs ever. This one and the System's "Midnight Special" are gems that still in my bones decades later. The song "Save Me" is great too. Let's not forget their song "Don't Disturb this Groove", its a classic, it's the one they are know for as it briefly went to #1. The video for "Midnight Special" is one of my top 5 all time favorite videos.
The Systems is know for a "Nightclub" Sound, but their R&B Soul sound is so underrated.....

The dynamic of this song is that most of Luther Vandross 's background singers provide the chorus on this.

They worked together around the late 80s, I think they played live together too. Still weird to see how identical the two songs are lol. Both are amazing

There's actually an abundance of amazing music being produced today (even music similar to this), probably more so than at any other point in history. The difference is that instead of discovering it on the radio, you have to go digging for it on the internet. If you're willing to look, you'll find a treasure trove of quality tunes.

Did anyone know that Mic Murphy used to be an A&R Talent Agent and used to manage a band called KLEER. If you look them up, you'll see they had a handful of hits.
