我巳在十幾年前用十年時間留在英，用學生身份簽証留在英國，期間每年暑假回港只停留3O天，十年内不超過3OO天，满十年當Homeoffice收到我永居申請indefinite leave to remain ILR，查看護照一目了然，申請人十年内不能有犯罪紀錄criminal record 從沒有比法庭起訴入罪，例如逃税也是criminal offence ，如香港有物業收租或出譲物業所得利潤不如實申報給通知英國税局等，如查到對申請永居會有影響，可能不獲批，前功盡廢！入籍時最難就要找两位推薦人，找不到人等於入不到籍！！

Now BNO visa is very easy. It takes just 3 working days if you apply online. I applied last thursday, and I got the visa yesterday (monday)

4:33 a crucial point worth mentioning: the 180 days is counted “rolling”, ie in any period of 180 days no matter if it is separated in 2 years, if the days don’t add up you’ll still not meet the requirements

@@simonho1810 let’s say you have left the U.K. in August 2023, and returned in May 2024 and then stayed in for the rest of the year. In neither 2023 nor 2024 have you left the country for more than 180 days respectively, but in the period between August 2023 and August 2024 (or May 2023 to May 2024) the days are insufficient.

This requirement is notoriously difficult to calculate by hand, highly recommend some excel spreadsheets that does the job. There are a few online templates for EU settlement, which has the same requirements as us.

@@hkk5790 So, let say if I come to UK on 1 Apr 2021 and apply ILR on 2 Mar 2026 (roughly 28 days before I stay in UK for 5 yrs), the 180 days rule is counted since 1 Apr 2021- 2 Mar 2026?

但有兩樣嘢，可以俾返少少意見，第一，每年唔可以離開超過180日，係任何12個月，並唔係每一年，因為好多人誤會咗以為係每一年。
另外關於兩位referee ，只需要其中一名係BC，另一名professional可以唔喺BC，可以係其他國籍。
