  • This is the fourth and final in a series of four videos focused on LomoChrome films on 35mm and 120 shot at night. For this episode I take a look at LomoChrome Turquoise. There's something so surreal and out of this world about this film. I've always liked how this film handles during the day but the crazy blues, purples and turquoise colors come alive at night.

very cool series, i especially like that you took the same shots on all the films so we could see the differences. very thoughtful.

Glad you enjoyed! Yeah I have a running list of places I try to repeat. I feel like it’s important to see how these films compare to underrated how they handle certain lighting conditions. Thanks again for watching!

I had a lomochrome purple at night which looked a bit like the tranquility lane Fallout 3 in some scenes. But the turquoise is definitely worth a try.

Oh nice! I would love to see those shots. Yeah it was fun to see how each one handled different night scenes and the colors of the street lights and neon signs.

I wasn't interested in Turquoise at all, compared to Lomochrome Purple and Metropolis, but after watching your video - I want to shoot it and it's definitely an interesting film to try :D

That's awesome! Glad I could inspire some creative thinking. Yeah another time I like it is in the spring when flowers are in bloom. I'm about to make a video about shooting film in spring and comparing film stocks and Turquoise had some really fun and interesting results. Thanks for watching!

Did you take 4 cameras loaded with 4 different Lomochrome films to make this series?

Sometimes I did have 3 cameras (I have 3 Nikon N80s) and sometimes I had a Bronica SQ-Ai 6x6 with 2 different film backs but never 4. Many of these shots I just kept going back to. I think night photography has more consistency / less lighting variables than day time so that helps with the comparisons. Thanks for watching!
