THE FILIPINO HUNTER AND A ROASTED PIG PARTY... (Fighter Boys, Philippines)

- My Filipino friend Louis went hunting for lato in the ocean before we had a big roasted pig party. This was the Fighter Boys last day in Marihatag and we spent it by having a very local style party...
In such a beautiful part of Mindanao!
The coast of Surigao Del Sur is simply incredible, and spending time under coconut trees, surround by good friends, and with local Filipino food and drink...
Perfect!
I am so impressed with the under water hunting skills of my Filipino friend in Marihatag. In this case, he wasn't going for fish, but for unique seaweeds that you can eat raw out of the ocean! What a great experience for everyone... especially Mike who learned about "eating meat" in a deeper sense.

Finn that girl 😭😭 sherlyn ohh si finn ✌✌
Honestly, this is the best way to know a place, to dwell with the locals to gain deep understanding of their culture. It somewhat opens people's perception about the world we live in.
Agreed. :)
it's better to accept the truth rather than to be a hypocrite for the rest of your life. salute to Mike for overcoming the reality and to embrace the true Filipino! super APIR KAAYO!
Well said👍❤️
Thank you so much guys for choosing philippines. The happiest people on earth.
I saw Mike's vlog and saw how much he really struggled going through it. But sometimes it takes something like this for us to appreciate the food (meat) we eat. As a Filipino who once lived in the province I have seen this and have taken part (a small part) in the slaughter of animals. This experience is eye opening and one which will stay with you the rest of your life. It's something we don't want to do, but it's something we need to do in order to feed our families. As long as nothing is wasted...it's all good! Thanks for another awesome vlog, Kulas!
A legit Pinoy feast! Lechon, beach, paklay, Fighter wine to wash it down, barkadas, nature, buko...Dayum, you're living the life Kulas, I am envious. It's more or less 25 years ago since I experienced this kinda life...
Tc always, and keep bringing the good vibes!
It was a very beautiful experience :)

This video is priceless. It’s stunning ..but the CAMARADERIE among the boys was GOLD 😍.Thanks Kulas .
Witnessing how animals are slaughtered may sound morbid, but it makes you respect food more. Which is probably why almost everything from an animal is eaten in Filipino cuisine. Nothing goes to waste,
Lechon (roast pig) is common in philippines since its a special traditional food...just like other country eating turkey, crocodile whatsoever
@@gelynch52phPH depends on who the butcher is. Here in our province, we hit the pig using a blunt object in one swing. The pig then lose consciousness after the swing.
@@gelynch52phPH why cant western people raise pigs humanely
@@gelynch52phPH hug
@@gelynch52phPH Why did PETA kill all the animals?
good to see everybody having fun,
and a Jamaican guy who learned to love the Philippines.
Thanks Kulas.
Jamaica is pretty similar to the Philippines its pretty easy to love it i love it as well
Kulas thank you for vlogging mindanao, (my home) and for introducing our culture to the rest of the world. Daghang salamat dodong kulas!
Mr. Kyle you're such a nice guy !..really thankful for bringing the best of the Filipino Culture and the nice place in our country, PHILIPPINES...Mabuhay ka !!! God Bless Bro.

Beautiful to see fighter boys and the locals eating together.
nothing beats the countryside! ❤️❤️ when you are tired and stress in the city.. go to a countryside or province to reset.. this is wonderful..
I love these videos. Really warm. Digging into it. Getting real. That's what new experiences do for you. They stretch you way beyond all you thought that was you...and you find out you were even more. You're a great host to these guys. Keep it flowing.
La-two, Lechon, Paklay, Tagay with Fighter Boys, good life in Philippines, right Kulas?
I love these guys of how they love philippines . Cultures, foods, beaches. Got to know the people in surigao.
I guess this is my favorite video so far in your fighter boys adventure in Mindanao. I just love this! Chilling, eating, drinking, talking and laughing. Wow! This is life!
Cant help maself watching your vlog guys😍 It all started with Finn. Kudos Fighter Boys!!!
similar to my country's rich indonesia love pilipino
greetings!!! from the Philippines
sye dari mindanao juga bro ilove indunesia
Killing your own food makes you respect the the animal even more... As long as it's done quickly and as humanely as possible it's fine by me. My family owns a farm where we get a portion of our produce from and my parents has always taught me to respect all life like your own and never waste food not even a single grain of rice.
I fell in love with Surigao when I first visited Britania Islets and Suhoton back in 2016. There are hundreds more gems to discover. You forgot to feature their Magkuno tree (Ironwood) which is endemic in the area. Thanks Kulas for featuring Surigao.
Oh my LETCHON yummy The FighterBoys good vibes always kulas daghan sallamat from Kuwait ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🌴🌴🌴🌴
It is spelled lechon (no T).
Love this! Why do you guys call yourselves the "Fighter Boys"? You all are fun, lovely people, and show so much respect and deference for the Philippines.
Because their alcohol of choice is Fighter Wine, very popular in Visayas & Mindanao.
Thanks for sharing nice bonding with friends there... yummy litson...keep in touch salamat

Kulas, I'm jealous of you. You get the opportunity of living provincial life in Philippines. Salamat for featuring the simple and best life in Pinas. 💕
At the end of the day, (Kulas) you gave fighter boys an awesome experience (specially Mik-mik).

Wow, that lato diving is cool man! Wow!
Louis is amazing at hunting for food in the ocean!
Kyle Jennermann that’s great Kyle. Perhaps you can ask Louis if he can find “Pako” or fern and make it a salad? Not sure if you’ve tried that already. It is also very yummy and also complements with lato. 😊 👍
hug
Hey Kulas, Finn and the gang...
dudes your story is epic man. I like the flow, I like the chill vibe -- its nothing like anywhere in the Philippines.
Like I told Daniel, please please make this short clips into a full featured movie. Make this story last a lifetime for generations to come.
You have something special in your hands with these short clips. Stitch it all together with the rest of the gangs vid and who knows what will come of it.
If at all...its just going to be an epic journey of friends...into Mindanao...to defy incorrect stereotypes.
Great job you all.

Philippines is Paradise, but a lot of Pilipino didn't. Love the Philippines, they ruin the nature, tapon NG mga basura, they polluted the river and sea, ..they cut the tress.. kawawang paraiso...thank you mga fighters boys SA pag promote NG Mindanao......
felix maritan, that is true.
what is tress? tatlo ba yun?
To be honest I stop blaming the Government. Nung bata ako puro gobyerno ang sinisisi ko but when I grow up I realized the Politicians are just like us. Its up to us to how to change how we do things.
SOsad that Pilipinos are lack of self discipline
Sir the video is only about cooking pig how come you went to that part?
Kulas, I felt mix emotion watching this vlog. Good introductory about Mike. This is how life evolved. Humans can make up whatever ethics or morals they want to, but if those self-imposed rules run contrary to life, they’re probably not good. Anyway, I'm from Mindanao ( Iligan City) and love to see you guys that having fun in Mindanao, especially interacting with the locals and living a life like that. It's just incredible to see foreigners doing that. Keep it up and cant wait to see more vlogs in your Mindanao journey.🤗🤗
Wow! The Fighter Boys are having sooooooo much fun! Kulas, murag nahubog na si Bret 😄 lechon is lyf🤗 onli in pinas , wala jud dri 🇨🇦 amping mo ug Salamat from Fernie BC nindot jud sa probinsya 🙁
Been to mindanao only once.. Attended a wake of our grandmother but that was my first time and its in zamboanga.. at first I was afraid because of news that its not safe.. but it was tho zamboanga is a big city already, but watching kulas video makes me want to go back to mindanao and explore more.. I grew up in manila and province life is what I dream when i retire.. looks so peaceful, simple life
Petmalu Laughtrip.
La-one,la-two,....la-mon😂😂😂😂
Evelyn Magno haha.., nice joke...:)
Im a Filipino but iv never been to places uv been, I guess that makes you more Filipino than I am...:) Kudos Kulas! #BecameFilipino
i laughed about the lato sea weeds but when i heard kumar laughter the more i laughed so much because of awesome jokes...
Pilipino hospitality is contagious. Anthony Bourdain (RIP) have said that Philippines is the most giving country in the world. Not being a homer but it's true, despite the corruption and the elitists.
What a good memories guys...
Kulas u made me feel like a tourist on my own land. Thanks for the love brad!
Omg I got homesick every time I watch your show Kulas..power kaau bai
Super saya! I remember when I was as young as you guys. My friends and I used to do this kind of activities every summer. Lots of eating, kwentuhan (story telling) and outdoor fun.
Wow! I like that sea weeds, yummy to eat with raw tomatoes, those people near the sea are lucky that they don’t buy their sea foods they just go and get it free from deep down there.
Hi kulas your so happy and enjoy your kabakads. Good job. Your such a funny and happy person. God bless you always and protect you always there with your family and friends.
What an “educational” post.
“Before there was lato, there was la-one” hahah
Melisma Ramos 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Melisma Ramos The cringe on Kyle’s face made it worth telling 😂
hahahahaahhahahha
Kulas had a late reaction with the joke LA-ONE NOW LA-TWO...
hug
Touched by this video. I just missed Philippines and the culture!
Paklay is very lami with bahaw! 😁
Paklay is best for pulutan! ;)
Awsome. What a good experience for the fighter boys.
Mike is so passionate about animals. I hope he doesn’t turn vegan.
This was a good moment for him.
Kyle Jennermann I sure hope so. I think the northern part of the Philippines might’ve traumatized him a little with the itag, pinikpikan & roasted dog. Thanks for showing him that side of the Philippine cuisine. Don’t want people to think that Filipinos are all about animal cruelty & gross food.
I hope he does go vegan...all of us needs to be vegan..
Malunggay Smoothie please no
Malunggay Smoothie meat is good
Great tandem great foreign people great personality and great blogs... Thanks guys we love and support you...

Very cool fighter boys...👍👍😄😄😄
So much fun.....😁😁...hoping guys u never stop loving our country and hugging our culture....ur awesome......
"Respect the food." Love your insight and perspectives, Kulas! 😘🇵🇭
That is the beauty of you understanding how the process we do in cooking Lechon and you doing it. It helps you understand and respect life even for the animals we eat. My dad was a lechonero and during occasions we cook our own lechon and I saw how he respect the life of the animals we consume, he even pray for them first before killing it. And not brutally killing those animals unlike other slaughterhouses do in most meats we purchase in the grocery stores.
life in the province is

Nice vlog kulas sharing great experience with the Fighter Boys. . 😊👍👌
Ahhaha filipino humour fever there is 😂😂
Happy cried again! Love it! Thank you all!
As much as my wife and I enjoy Kyle's postings, I must disagree with Kyle when he says that if you can't kill the food you eat, then maybe you should rethink eating meat.
I am as thankful for the animals sacrifice as I am for the butcher. Even as much as I enjoy fishing, I still struggle with baiting and cleaning fish. Still, one thing I can tell you. I am going to eat meat without shame.
Some of, probably most of us are too negatively affected by not only thinking about animals dying, the only way we would kill anything would be for the survival of our family.
Personally, I don't even like killing plants. Thank God for grocery stores and those that supply them!
Yes I think I should have worded that better... I would say, if you can't be comfortable with the thought of something being killed to eat. Rather than personally killing it. But, I do think it a good experience for you to kill an animal if you eat meat, so you can fully understand exactly what you are doing.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
Fighter boys..gud job....enjoying ur vlogs...Janet from dubai
You need a longer iron pipe to easily pump the poso
