Ahh this was one of the coolest things I did while in Mexico!! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!
What else did you do there or recommend doing?
We love this place so much. As you said, it's a little crazy at the beginning with all the boats, but opens up after a few turns. We're going back in March. Que emocionante!
¡Qué chido! Enjoy your time there when you go back. We’ll be there again in May. Un saludo. -Jim
I had the pleasure of riding in one these 20+ years ago and was looking to reminisce. Yours was the third video I watched, and by far the best one. The two of you are informative and a pleasure to watch. Enjoy your travels together.
I was there in august 2023 loved it but I didn’t know the history. Thanks for going over the history it is an enchanting place. Flying back to Mexico City this week again. Loved the city and it’s people
Quiero ir a Xochimilco! Time to organize an immersion trip to the big city again!!!
You should! It’s a blast. Rumor has it, there will be some immersion opportunities early 2024. 🤫 😉
Such a great video! I love to hear the history of the places you both travel to. Thanks for the great content!
Thank you for watching! Much more to come soon. Un saludo. -Jim

We had a blast. It’s definitely worth checking out. Thanks for watching! -Jim
Wow. Haven’t seen Xochimilco in 25 years. Looks as enchanting as ever. And I can vouch for your warning about the metro, too. Lost my passport to pickpockets on that visit.
Wow, you went quite awhile ago! I’m glad it hasn’t changed much over the years. We had a blast. Sorry to hear you had a negative metro experience too. I had my phone stolen a couple of years ago in the metro. Thanks for watching! Un saludo. -Jim
Wow, what a neat place!
Beautiful and looks like fun! 😊❤️
We loved it! Such a good time.
I recently visited there too! Youve got a new subscriber 😊
Very fun video. May looked like it was her birthday or Christmas had come early with the small quesadilla was fun.
As always, your content was very informative and your edited style was well-paced. Kudos to you! We will be in Xochimilco with a small group from Atlanta in 2 weeks. I just shared your video with them. Gracias!
Thanks a lot, Mike! Glad you enjoyed it. Have fun on your trip and thanks for sharing. Un saludo. -Jim
@@SpanishandGo Thanks Jim. I do enjoy your videos. If your future travels happen to take you to the state of Veracruz and I happen to be there (I have an apartment there), I would be happy to show you around. After exploring that state for over 20 years, I have found many off-the-beaten track places outside of the major cities where I can take you to visit. It would be a pleasure to have the two of you as my guests. Si lo deseas, podemos estar en contacto.
¡Muchas gracias, Mike! We appreciate the invite. We’d love to check our the area someday. Feel free to shoot us an email and we can stay in touch that way. hola at Spanish and Go dot com. ¡Un saludo! Que tengas un excelente día. -Jim

Hola de Connecticut

Wonderful!
Thanks, Jennifer! Un saludo. -Jim
Super cool video, guys! I somehow never went to Xochimilco the times I've hung out in CDMX. :-o
Thanks, Levi! It’s definitely worth a visit. Un saludo. -Jim

Thanks for watching, amigos!
I've just discovered your channel! We're headed to CDMX this summer. I'm curious - did you bring your own containers for those leftover quesadillas that you brought onto the boat with you? My husband is vegan, so I loved seeing how you ordered a vegan quesadilla!
Lovin' that hat Jim!
¡Gracias, Lori! 😊 Gotta keep that sun off my face somehow. 😆 -Jim
Un quesadilla sin queso solo es un pedazo de tortilla. Con un poco de vegetales y carne.
The Island of the Dolls looks like one of the final scenes from Apocalypse Now. I expected to see Dennis Hopper come running out with his camera.
No Hay Tos me trae aqui.
¡Qué chido! ¡Bienvenid@!
which port at Xichimilco did you go ?
❤️🎥
Thanks for watching! -Jim
Do they speak english at the boat rental area?
I'm not sure. I don't make a habit of speaking English while I'm in Mexico, but there's a fair chance that some people there speak English. -Jim
Xochimilco + too much tequila for me = 😵 BUT Damn it's a fun time.
I remember that video! 😆 It is a lot of fun. I’d definitely do it again. -Jim
👨🍳
Thanks for the info! Looking forward to my trip next month and your video was very informative. Also, I agree with your views but you gave up a chance to see an endangered animal you wouldnt otherwise have seen or pet because of moral reasons. Seems silly to me. Still I respect it
-Jim
