- November 13, 1996. Part of Walt Disney World's 25th Anniversary Celebration, the Remember the Magic Parade was the Magic Kingdom's 3 o'clock character parade starting in the fall of 1996 and running for the next seven years. This video includes introductory video shot earlier on November 13, 1996 and only a single showing of the parade (plus brief clips of the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks viewed from the Skyway ride on November 19, 1996).

I’m 28 and my Dad first took me too Disney during the 25th anniversary, here I am balling my eyes out. So grateful that my Dad took me when I was a kid and as an adult I love it even more. I’m so grateful for the individuals who work hard to give such a great experience. I remember being a little girl and having Jafar walk by and being deeply afraid, the autograph book, meeting princesses, the floral bed spread at the hotel we stayed at, Cosmic Rays. I love WDW
This song is still in my head 26 years later. :) I remember being taken aback by this parade and SpectroMagic at night.
I love your comment! I'm 29 and i also went to Magic Kingdom during the 25th anniversary. My parents always talk about how i was scared of Jafar as well. I haven't heard this song in soooo long and i'm literally crying. I will always cherish these memories.

oh god now im in tears for real. i remember dancing in this parade with the fish and playing a drum for the lion king. this is (hands down) my most favorite Magic Kingdom parade. (my favorite parade ever being the tapestry of dreams over at Epcot)
It sucks that we can't have parades like this anymore, the show stops (a novel concept at the time and made into reality for the 25th anniversary with this) really make this what is the BEST Disney parade that Walt Disney World has ever put out hands down.
To think that we guests have the opportunity to join in Remember The Magic and be apart of the parade for the first time ever, I'm sure many of us treasure those moments when we danced, played, and mingled with the characters.
Does anybody else besides think this parade should come back someday?

I saw this parade when I was four and I got to be in the parade when they pulled the kids from the audience :) God, I loved everything the 25th anniversary, even the castle. Can I go back 15 years in time please??
I was there in 1999. I'm from Holland, Europe and it really was a magical moment. Thanx for sharing this, it brings so back so many beautiful memories!

I remember seeing this parade on my 20th birthday and it was awesome.
I think this was my first year at WDW with family. Like others here I remembered the song's melody and words for almost two decades. 96 we a great year... at least to be a kid.
Omg I believe I was there! November 1996 was the first time I ever went to Disney World (my mom still has the VHS tape around her house somewhere) and even though I was only 5 years old at the time, I remember that parade!

I remember going to Walt Disney World for the very first time in February 2015. It was indeed Pure Disney Magic

Omg! I too had the opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of WDW!!! I still remember the cake castle XD I went on my 15th bday (quinceañera) in 1997. My family asked me if I wanted a big party or a trip to Orlando. I guess it's obvious I choose the later :p Thanks for sharing these memory times!!!

I can only imagine what they have planned for next year. I can't believe that it has been almost 40 years since the magic kingdom opened! Can't wait to get back to the world in the summer. Even though I was just there not even a month ago. It's been to long!

It’s insane another 25 years went by. Let’s hope they bring back a nighttime parade to magic kingdom. Happily ever after is a great extend fire work and projection show but the mk isn’t complete without a night time parade. Let’s pray to a normal return to WDW by early 2022 !!

@asdTubeU the was available called Walt Disney World/Disneyland Music Vacation" however it wasn't as widely available as most CD's and is now out of print
@LittleLauraBug Oh goodness Spectromagic!! I want them to bring that parade back SO badly!! I was listening to the soundtrack the other day, tearing up a bit! I've been back numerous times since 1997, but nothing compares to that first trip!
On this magic night was from Spectromagic. It ran all the way up untill 2010 they plan to bring it back. Right now they have the Electrical Parade and it flat out sucks.

@anthersey28 I don't think the music from the parade was ever on an album other than the customizable ones available around 2000-2002 or so. The parade tracks were called Magic Kingdom Parade "Remember the Magic" (Parts 1 and 2)

We weren`t saying the Electrical Parade flat out sucks back in 1986, before there was Spectromagic, weren`t we? One of these days, we keep on coming to Disney, acting like grown up brats, to end up having Disney price gauging us like we are grown up brats. Want that?, Let's stop our prejudice.
