The fact that King got the most views of all the character trailers of Tekken 8 proves that King is the most popular Tekken character.
@@Hilversumborn It's a pity that, just like Paul, he went from being one of the strongest characters in the entire verse to just a journeyman at best.
I know that the King introduced since Tekken 3 is actually one of the orphanage kids who took up the torch of the original after he died (the one that Loresmith shows in this video as a nice fanservice), but still I think he deserves some moments to shine in canon.

Man, if only we could get an actually serious Tekken game again. More grounded stories like this, with the king of iron fist tournament, and less DBZ/anime nonsense like we see now. Hearing the Tekken 4 prologue music really drove this home for me. Great video.

I am Mexican and I can assure you that King is considered by almost all Mexicans to be the best Mexican character in fighting games and video games in general.

This series is def wanted by hardcore tekken fans over the years. Tekken lore has been heavily focused on the Mishima Bloodline that other character backstory is a mystery.

Yes, all characters, one game at a time. So King part 2 will be when I start covering Tekken 2.

Thanks bro that means a lot! It's just me making these, that's why it takes so long! 😅 But yeah King is an awesome character, he's just a good dude overall, can't help but like him. I've said it before, the Tekken characters have lots of potential for stories, I dunno why they don't make a show of it. (I Know they made an anime but it's Mishima focused like everything Tekken related, dont get me wrong, the mishimas are cool but I think the other characters are cool too)

My favorite of this Teken series so far.
The introduction is especially touching. As a Latin American, I appreciate the detail of making the priest speak Spanish (and with a Mexican sounding accent!) instead of English, or worse, some weird Spanglish lol.
I thought this one was going to be tough due to the prompts required to render a character as "unique" as King, but surprisingly whatever Gen AI you used did quite well (it even nailed his "family man" attire).
I like to honour the countries and cultures the characters come from because I think that’s such a cool aspect of the franchise, the variety. I only speak English so i can’t really authenticate, i did try to make a point give him a Mexican accent though, I hope it came across well enough because I can’t tell! 😫
Honestly, yeah it was tough, it took a while to do king, with his “unique” look as you say. you can probably see, it’s not perfect, but it’s something at least 😂 his freaking jaguar head! probably one of the hardest characters, I have a feeling yoshimitsu will be a pain too.

Thank you for not only telling the the background story for the First King but the other fighters as well i can now look at the fighrers who a new respect to them and now see how their hardships molded them to the top fighters they are now. I sincerly appreciate the style of storytelling it feels genuine and fresh and keeps viewer immerse in the universe of Tekken. I cant wait till you touch on Characters such as Jun, Jin, Heihachi and much more. And I hope in the future you will dive in the lore of other fighting games like virtual fighter, killer instant, or even Bloody Roar to named a few. Amazing video

King is my favorite from the Tekken series. This was a great take on his story
The 1st King was awesome. He beat both the 1st Armor King & the 1st Jack in the 1st King of Iron Fist Tournament. That's gotta be enough money to fund the orphanage for the kids who were happy to see the 1st King do it.
