Translucent epoxy is sooo hard to finish perfect...you've done a wonderful job. I tried some burl with a red translucent epoxy....DID NOT turn out great...but maybe you guys could try
Blue staining can also happen after a healthy tree is cut and the logs are left alone for several months. It happens more quickly in hot/humid environments like what we have here in the south. Keep up the good work!
Ive made a bench years ago out of pine boards in wood shop, i didn't do anything special joining or anything just glue and screws, was just supposed to be a decorative bench not meant to hold more than 80-90 pounds but it was actually pretty sturdy and held over 240-300 pounds on it without creaking or anything, idk if i just did a good job or pine is just underestimated by people
My dad made a pinewood coffee table not too long ago, not at all as beautiful as that because he was just using what he had but it holds up pretty well and it’s got a nice wood stain for a darker colour.
One of the reasons I think epoxy tables are amazing is because it allows craftsmen like you to use pieces of wood that otherwise wouldn’t be as useful. Even allows you to use pieces that wouldn’t be useful at all! The fact that they look really neat is just a plus
Been watching a lot of your videos lately but this one is ultra outstanding to me because I'm a fishing fanatic so the water concept is so appealing to me, well done!!!
Since you guys found out this thing called epoxy, you just go out of your way to make beautiful tables. Love it. All your tables look so good. Goid luck.
Absolutely beautiful!! Love the coloring on the wood…fyi, actually is called “beetle kill pine” vs “kill beetle”. Beautiful on furniture, but tragic when you see acre after acre of dead pine in the wild.
The blue goes well with my Victory Cross Country Tour! Maybe when I win the lottery I'll be able to have one (even an end table size would make me the happiest woman on the planet!❤❤).
Besides.... coffee tables don't usually get abused, especially if you condition them right. Even if its soft wood. I have a coffee table i made several years ago from pine when i first started out. Ive dropped it. Smacked into it. Spilled stuff on it. Dropped things on it. You name it ive probably hit that table with it. And it still looks the same way. Pine is fine. I don't expect mine to last forever. It was my first piece. I don't want it to last forever 😂😂😂
I see how you can leave a more ornate form aside, leaving room to enjoy the natural beauty of a well choosen material. But why combine it then with what I understand to be a most artifical polymer and colouring? I don't hate it, I just don't understand.

Epoxy is known to be very dangerous cancer causing. 😮

We call that blue buggy pine. Oregon used to specialize in buggy furniture.

Yeah it’s a pain but it’s worth it!
With a very fluid epoxy it is much easier
what do you use to polish the epoxy so that the wood doesnt absorb it?

Beautiful!!!! Amazing work my friend!!!!
Depending on how good and sharp the planer/jig bit is, you can get nearly perfect on 1 pass, then polish. I think i used a carbide spoilboard bit
Art 🎨🎭 u make masterpieces!

Definition, a client is a repeat patron, not a one time customer
It looks like a deep oceanic trench surrounded by volcanic mountains from above🤯
well done…. beautiful 🎉
You mentioned having to sand up to 2000 grit - just out of curiosity, how many grits do you go through? Eg 120 to 240 to 500 .... 2000
That is beautiful!!!
I love that finish! You do great work man. Keep it up!
Stunning piece.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I feel like it would end up dipping in the middle over time
LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT NO PIECE CAN BE COPIED
That is an awesome looking piece of pine. End result is fantastic!

I absolutely love that wood! It's beautiful 😍

2,000 grit is like sanding with butter.

Will it stay ttranslucent or fog with age or sunlight?

Your skill set 🔥🔥🔥
Hi there, after sanding do we again need to add epoxy for polish or can I used some varnish stuff for gloss ?
That’s awesome
That is beautiful.
Is that beetle that you're talking about, is it the same thing as a sawyer?😊
Homie I’ll tell ya what these woodworks are very beautiful, they all shine like brand new money 😊

So any type of pine is not good for epoxy river tables? Or not worth it?
Awesome 😍👍
I love it.
Man I need to learn how to do this
Awesome ❤
Piece of art ❤
Epoxy has to be the tackiest look for ruining wood.
Most awesome 😍
Fyi, it's "beetle-kill pine", not kill beetle 😊
Beautiful work.
