MOST DEFINITELY, don't get me started on how deafening it was. WOOF, WAS IT LOUD! I don't know for certain, but I'm pretty sure rather than a K5LA air horn, it's an electronic synthesized K5LA. It sounds identical to the horns on the EMD Bananas, and I had no idea those were electronic horns until I was told by some people from Progress Rail at IRM last year. I found it very interesting. As for these locomotives, I guess we'll have to wait and see what the outcome is. I'm pretty excited for them honestly, it's going to take some getting used to seeing former freight locomotives in push-pull commuter service, but it should be really cool and interesting!
