Its really refreshing to hear someone with such a well grounded philosophy on life speak about their experiences and their ideology on "finding your own path". Hearing these perspectives really reinforces my thought process as I steer myself towards improving who I am and where my life is headed.
I'm glad I watched this because although I've always liked Suicidal Tendencies, I've never really been that into them. I now have a different perspective.
As my Senior Year Economics teacher always reminded us, everybody has their own perspective on life which is shaped by the experiences they have, just because your experiences have shaped your perspective one way does not mean that the person next to you will be the same. Enjoy your life the way you see fit, and avoid trying to force your views on those around you. :)

My dad worked 3rd shift and he sat lacing his boots up as I watched "You Can't Bring Me Down" on Head Bangers Ball. He said "What is that shit?". I said "the best thing I have ever seen on this show!" Went out and not just bought Suicidal but lived it. An outcast for it but showed many what Suicidal was.

Mike is a knower and when I hear another knower talk that validates what I have come to believe. He's so right about colleges! I went to college after high school and did the double degree of international studies/international business, the workload was too much for me at the time and some of the core topics like marketing and economics were boring as hell! I remember the adult re entry students and some were around 60! They always studied hard and got good grades because they were there to learn not to party or avoid work. I dropped out after a year and a half and got a backbreaking job in a factory, the pay was good but the work was awful! Injuries happened all the time and the old guys who worked there for over twenty years all had severe back injuries! One day after a very long hot shift I just snapped and realised I had to get out of there and go back to school. I gave my notice two weeks later and they offered me a big pay rise to stay but I just couldn't do it anymore! I was exhausted all the time, I had no time for my GF or my other friends so I quit and took two months off to recover and mend. While I was recovering I decided to go back to college, I applied using my previous entry score and I got into my first choice degree which was psychology. That was three years ago and now I'm doing great at college and actually enjoying the topics! The young people fresh outta high school struggle a lot more I've noticed? I'm always helping out where I can and trying to make them understand that hard work now pays off later in life. Most won't listen but I wouldn't have listened when I was their age either! 😂

Suicidal are punk rock poets. Big influence on my development. The he noise of my skateboard wheels blocked a lot of the subliminal BS that bombarded minds in the 80s and 90s. Thank you Mile

Motivating interview. I'm here going through life. Going through the motions. When he said if your in class just to be there and you don't know what to do your going to be in trouble. That's me. All you whippersnappers, find a goal and follow it. Don't just dick around time is going to fly and I'm like at a crossroads. I gotta get on the ball.

It’s June 2020, every kid in high school should be required to listen to this before being allowed to graduate.
