sojourn is the opposite of soldier in so many ways
soldier has a hitscan primary fire and a projectile secondary fire, sojourn has the opposite
he has a lotta horizontal mobility, she has a lot of verticle
his e creates a field of healing, hers creates a field of damage
his ult is an aimbot, hers requires aim
he's american, she's canadian
he's a white man, she's a black woman
his primary color is blue, hers is red
she's got thick thighs, he's got thick shoulders
ye soldier is worse than sojourn

he's got more consistent horizontal mobility but I didn't feel it was necessary to specify that
Thank god I'm not the only one who saw the Soldier 76 parallels with her kit.
1 more to add from me, his mobility is constant without cooldown, her mobility is a burst and every now and then
As a new player, I picked her up quickly due to her similarities to soilder 76. I she was funny to play low skill floor, Hugh skill ceiling . Would recommend
OW noob here and I recently started playing a lot of Sojourn. Been having a LOT of fun with her as she's in the sweet spot between being simple and easy to pick up but hard to master. Also, thanks for the tips! People who played OW a lot probably already had a good idea on how to use her abilities optimally but I'd just been using my charged shots without really thinking them through. Great video!
Few extra tips for Sojourn;
You get 5 energy for a body shot and 10 for headshot (3 for armour).
For the Power Slide, you can only get the jump if on any surface. You can also tap jump, cancel with PS and then jump again if you want to go higher rather than further.
It is good to switch primary and secondary fire on console (think of it like Soldier with his Helix Rockets).
What does "cancel with PS" mean?
you get 5 for a bodyshot and 10 for a headshot and its 3 for body shot on armour idk where you got those numbers

I’ll definitely try the primary and secondary fire control switch but I have to say so far I have been really having a ton of issues with the default controls. Sojourn is my DPS main. I’m gonna try to branch out to the other classes of heroes so I can have a main or two in all three categories. Only then will I begin to play competitively.
8:20 Interestingly, Sojourn has been seen several times as a background character in the game. Aside from the one picture, she has been seen as one of the recalled agents in the short "Recall". Additionally, she was an actual character in Storm Rising. Honestly, I think she'll get more of a spotlight when the PvE comes out, as she seemed like the kind of person to distance herself from any major happenings during the fall of Overwatch. Even testifying on behalf of Overwatch was something that was forced on her.
It's a very clever way to design characters, intentionally leaving blank spaces to fill them up with whatever comes out of brainstorming sessions later.
It may seem cheap, but as a writer myself I admit, it's pretty damn efficient.

The reason why sojourn is half cyborg like genji, is because when she was a baby she suffered from a virus like cancer. But over watch fixed her and she got special surgery.
Or you know, Blizzard just have fetish for mutilation. Even from original starting roster, at least half of heroes had missing limbs and/or body implants.

This video is fantastic, as always. I'd also recommend KarQ's Sojourn video as well, lotta tips you may not have thought about.
I think she is genuinely hard to use because u also need to have a very good game sense with the ability to know when to use your abilities and her aim is something to get used to especially since she isn’t a frontline type of damage character and should stay a bit back so the projectile bullets are shown or felt a bit more

I do alright with Sojourn. I recently switched to PC and am getting used to the mouse and keyboard. Having played OW for a while on console mostly, I’d say she’s a good pick. Great video btw, you’re very charismatic.

2.Increase slow back to what is was.
3. Make slide like that of the main protagonist in Vanquished.
4. Add 25 health or 15 armor.
Console gamer here, and changing the primary and secondary fire around is a huge difference and helps alot so would definitely recommend doin it
Now I wanna install ow2 even more anyways keep up the great work macro and remember to not overwork yourself

I have not really played her that much but I will use these pro tips for the help
as someone new to overwatch idk if this means much but after doing the tutorial I can say its like having soldier 76's ult on at all times cuz with even the slightest bit of accurate aiming you can shred the enemy team
