I love how it’s always either Sunny dying a horrific death and Basil basically losing all hope towards anything essentially, or Mari dying a horrific death and Hero losing all of his hope.
This is just proving that my theory of mari death is a canon event is true
the canon event in omori aus is ONE of the friends dying, lots of them are built on it being someone besides mari

i never understood it the first time but third time watching this (cause i like pain) i finally noticed Kel saying "HIs muse, his butterfly". i instantly started balling tears. plus seeing basil and sunny in that state was instant more onion chops for the fire.

well to be fair, even people who know how to swim can still drown. just depends on the circumstances, kind of like it did in the original story with the stairs. anything bad can happen, at the wrong place, at the wrong time, in the wrong circumstances.
It is a normal thing on Omori
Mari's death is always a preventable, very doubtable way to die that is somehow never tackled by the law.
It's pretty much the anomalous plot point that intervenes to turn a cute CN worthy series into a tale of ropes, knives, denial and egret orchids
from what i gather it looks like she hit something and bled out. there was blood in the water and people don't just start bleeding when they drown
She does know how to swim. But because there was blood in the water that shows there was another problem. When she fell she might’ve smacked her head on the dock or there could’ve been rocks at the bottom that she landed on. She then could’ve been disoriented or unconscious. The rest is self explanatory

Man, I watched this again and in the start when Hero asked Kel to find his paint bottles, and Kel saying that Hero lost "His Muse, his butterfly" means that Hero in this AU used to paint(?) And his muse part of his inspiration was Mari(?). Anyways 10/10 would cry

I literally can’t get this off my mind. It’s such an incredible AU and it’s giving me so many new ideas and views! The voicing is amazing and the story is so wonderful. I adore that it’s from the accomplice’s POV instead of the person who did it and I love how this gives way to so many new dynamics and characters, for example, Sunny’s father. For this story, I think it would be so cool to see more of Sunny and Basil together because I can imagine Sunny needing that support as he’s going through the death of Mari (Basil too). I also wonder how Kel and Aubrey would deal with the guilt. We know that Sunny in the main game hides away in his house for the 4 years and Basil goes to school but is likely bullied and doesn’t talk to anyone so I wonder how these factors would be different for Aubrey and Kel in the AU. And I bet we would get to see more about Hero if it’s from Kel’s perspective. Just from watching this, this has become my #1 favourite AU. Never has an AU made me think this much!!
(I haven’t read this au if there’s somewhere to read it but these are all just my ideas so don’t get mad if I’m wrong on anything lol)

This is an interesting AU! I like the idea of Aubrey being the one who is responsible. The only similar instance was with Aubrey and Kel accidently killing Hero, but it was played off more as a joke.
