Long gone are the days when airports were just big places to wait. Now you're ready to start your trip! Even Dubai International Airport isn't different.
From a single strip of packed sand, the airport has become one of the most modern and busy travel hubs in the world. Dubai International Airport (DXB) is growing even faster than its competitors in London, Paris, or New York, with an average annual growth rate of more than 13%. The airport has become a symbol of how Dubai has exploded onto the world stage. Its growth seems to have no limits, and from the desert sands and baking heat of the Arabian Peninsula has come a city made of glass and concrete that shines.
Dubai has made a name for itself as the best place in the world to meet East and West. With so much to do in Dubai, whether you're just passing through or staying for a while, it's best for a smart traveler to think of their time in the airport less as a boring chore and more as an interesting chance. There aren't many places in the world where you can find so many great restaurants, great shops, and luxurious lounges all in one place.
Dubai International has a lot of great places to eat, just like the city itself. You're in for a treat whether you want a quick snack on your way from one gate to another or are starving after an eight-hour flight.
In all lounges at Dubai International Airport, you can use the free Wi-Fi, you're guaranteed a seat, you can relax a bit, and you can get alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks at the bar. Multiple flight information monitors will keep you up to date on the status of your upcoming flight, and there are free newspapers and magazines for those who want to kill some time with some light reading.
You will also be taken care of in a worst-case scenario, like if your next flight is delayed for a long time for no reason. There are private rooms where you can sleep more easily, and showers will help you feel clean and ready to go, especially if you have to get right back to work after your flight. It's overwhelmingly just shops, so I am glad my layover will just be 3 hours, but the huge structure of the airport is very impressive.
Yeah, shop till you drop.😆 However, if you don't have a budget you can get a massage or even a swim in the swimming pool, but it was too expensive for me anyway.😅

OMG, it is convenient that there is accommodation within the airport. May I ask the cost in US dollars of staying in this hotel? So is a burger pricier compared with one out of the airport?

I visited that Hard Rock Cafe on a later visit. Very friendly staff. A few of them are Filipinos and are really kind.😉 No worries I understand friends and family are way more important than watching some videos on CZcams. So no need to apologize. I'm happy to have you back. ❤️ I hope your friend will be better soon and that the chemo works and she does not suffer too much from it. All the best to all your loved ones. 😉

I’m travelling to Dubai soon with family and will be landing very early 5am my hotel check in is at 2pm so is there anything to do in airport till I go to my hotel
There are some things to do, yes, but doesn't your hotel offer bagage drop-off? So you can already discover the city.😉
