2 weeks after the live stream and I got to sit down and watch the whole thing, I really enjoyed it and got some much out of it. I was so excited for it to finish so I could open nomad and have a go. Thanks Glen for sharing so much knowledge and explaining it in a simple easy to understand way. I really hope you do a 3D printing video like this because it would be great to see your work flow with that. Thanks again and keep up the great videos.
I have a question was hoping maybe you might be able to help with, i am sculpting a head and used a mask to split the inside of the mouth into a separate piece, I did this again for the top and bottom of the mouth. There are three pieces of geometry (head, top mouth inside, bottom mouth inside) when I try tho use a voxel remesh to combine them all into a single piece of geometry and fill in the gaps it loses alot of detail and completely fills over the open mouth area with a solid wall. If I try to voxel remesh just the inner mouth parts there is also a weird occurrence were it loses all resolution and look like there might be some sort of overlap clipping happening. Ever encountered anything like that?
Do you ever do reviews of submission of models done from your demos? Would be interesting to see how others manage to copy your instructions. I've learned a lot from watching you do your magic, and do really appreciate your approach to creating and your skill at instructing. Have you ever tried an emulator on a Mac or PC to run Nomad? I have 32 gigs of ram on my PC but less than 2 gigs on my old Android Samsung tablet. It works pretty good but gets slow as the sculpt builds. Want to upgrade the tablet, maybe a new iPad, but if an emulator would work I have a Wacom tablet for the PC. Is it possible to use an emulator for Android and take advantage of the ram on the PC?
I try to do as much work as possible in multi res, but trimming and stretching the mesh requires an eventual need for the vr. Once remeshed i create multi res. And redo the details that were lost in the remesh
Hey Glen. I have a quick question for you about Zbrush, I'm looking to upgrade the computer on my cintiq, right now I have the wacom computer (zeon w/32gb ram) It's great but, dosen't run win 11 and for some reason is very slow with painter. Would a MBP M2 w/32gb be any better? I hear they are good with painter and I can 1 cable connect to the cintiq. I don't mind spending the $ I just want to have it work. I am definitely past the time where I liked to tinker with my PCs, I just want my tools to WORK. As for my iPad, I am looking to get last year's model with 16 gb ram. Torn on weather to get just wifi and save the cash or get the 5g model. I currently have the 2nd Gen pro (only 8gb ram). I realize that these questions aren't your forte but, I would like your opinion as a professional that is objective to the hardware. Thanks for your help. -Andre
The M1 mac is insane! My son has one for using Cinema4D, ZBrush and Photoshop and its is FAST! I would have one NOW if it wasn’t for the VR issue. I have the 16GB Ipad and it’s amazing but side by side with an 8GB I don’t see any performance difference when using a single app like Nomad sculpt. It is definitely better to have 16gb for video editing and similar programs but with Nomad it makes little difference as far as I can tell.
Great stream!! Wow. So much gem information. Question. What is the max polygon count you find comfortable before a crash..? (To prevent surpassing) lol

Great Livestream, Glen! Lots of great information.

What screen capture app is that?
Where else do you live stream?
Heh, your evening was like 7 hours ago, Glen. I’ll try to catch the next one.
That would be great, I would love to see you on there Cris.😀

Could you make a sculpt in nomad that pushes the limitations of nomad, i would love to see what the app is capable of.
That’s a great idea. I’ll look into it.
@@SouthernGFX You will thats great, thank you.
