The car is a disaster waiting to happen. (Oh wait, it already happened.) The car was probably SORN anyway, And i think the the fact that it's been structurally altered and that the engine's swapped for a more modern 4-stroke which is even more broken than the Sebi's starter motor and choke shows its likelihood of ever seeing the road again. Think you'd struggle to find someone willing to fix it to get it back on the road

To be fair, looking at the state of it it doesn't seem like it was up to much anyway. I expect it was a car some guy bought for cheap, heavily modded it to the point of near destruction then sold it to Hatfilms on the cheap.
They look like their keeping good care of the other trabant which is nice.
I feel more sorry for that range rovers clutch! Can smith/turps not drive manuals?!
George Marriott well, pushing a heavy weight around up hills does tend to have that effect on a clutch driver independent

As a Tire Tech myself, I laughed ridiculously hard when turps put on the spare tire backwards and at pretty much everything else theses guys did in general, but be safer plz as hilarious as this is. What you guys are doing is extremely dangerous. cant have some of my favorite youtubers dieing on me now can I? That Being said keep up the good work

Overall I think the Blue Trabant was only in marginally poorer condition than the range rover by the end.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I think this series is amazing!
Absurdly well produced is what Hat Films do.
This isn't great as far as Hat Films live-action stuff is concerned.
So for any of you wanting a Soviet Era car, you better buy a range rover as well to help it get going down the road.
You might need another car to get the Range Rover going too.

its not the original engine .. the original one is 2 cylinder 2 stroke that one in the blue one i 4 cylinder 4 stroke .. it definetly had some problmes with the fuel i guess

Its Polish. Probably converted from right to left hand drive and they didn't bother taking the old one out. (I have no clue, im just guessing)
a) No soviet countries drove on the right hand side
b) As far as I know I don't think you can just attach another steering column to the steering rack, although I don't know the 'biology' of Trabants. Also I feel that wouldn't be legal lol
It's probably just something for the passenger to play with, might have just left the old dashboard in after converting to rhd
Most likely it was an instructor's car. Used to teach people to drive trabants in race or a track layout.

they pushed the car, he had it in neutral and tried to start it.... like moving it is gonna make it start? you know BUMP START is that you have ignition ON, you hold the clutch put it in 1-2 gear, release it to make the engine turn = start XD

Smith is obviously Clarkson (case in point: yelling POOOWWEEEEERRR!!), Trott certainly feels like a Hammond; shortest of them all, does things like chasing after plastic bags (and not really succeeding). That leaves Ross as May, which isn't entirely accurate, but also not too far off. Turps, however, is just a madman. Probably closest to a Clarkson-type.
