✅Good performance, good ffb, good sounds, great multiplayer netcode,...new tyre model feels really good as well! A lots of options (cars and tracks)

I think Raceroom is most underrated sim out there, I keep saying the same I know... For 5 years... :D
i think raceroom has probably the best connection to the road feeling and a real sense of grip out of all the games, way too many games have the cars sliding all over the place which just doesn't happen on modern race cars, i would like to see lfm pick raceroom up as it's perfect for a league environment
The outdated graphic is hurting eyes and brains. It's like the cars have dark films on every windshield.
R3E wants to make the game like a "free-to-play" game but they only do it halfway through and did nothing to encourage players to play their game even for free. An easy way for R3E to get more people try their game is by rotating free content on top of the existing ones. To encourage online racing in the game, rotate one free championship or a selection of cars+tracks every two weeks or a month. Give players full access to those content during the free rotation periods.
This will make the barrier to entry a lot lower while encouraging people to test drive the locked contents and even buy the others if they really like the game. League of Legends made most of their money via this business model. Let players play the game as much as they like for free with weekly rotations and have them spend money whenever they want.
@@Hzuuuu The idea of rotating free content is actually pretty good, like a track + car every 2 weeks could really work out nicely to attract new players
Graphics might be outdated a bit, but still very pleasing in my opinion. The subdued colors and contrast make it look more realistic. They're not trying to blow you away with fancy effects or anything, like the "look at this beautiful sunrise!" in iRacing where the super-*un*realistic glare almost requires you to wear sunglasses in your simrig.
It's HDR. A lot of games have that. Turn it off and you won't see a glare that makes you blind...even tho that's something that isn't as unrealistic as you may think
It sounds like he's talking about bloom and glare not hdr.. hdr makes blacks blacker and whites whiter. It doesn't do much else just highers rhe range of blacks and whites to better differentiate. Has nothing to do with bloom or glare.
It can also add more range in colors but it doesn't add bloom or glare.
There's alot of reshades that say something like blooming hdr, it's just a fake hdr with contrast really high and a ton of bloom and glare
Regarding the ugly dashboards, apparently it's due to them being written in Scaleform, some sort of dead language the team is unable to work with properly. But they have confirmed it's being rewritten, so fingers crossed, hopefully they will be able to implement actual authentic dashboards at some point...

I love RR! Very underrated! I've raced iRacing for years. Gave RR a try and fell in love immediately. All the content was affordable by buying thier coins and not paying cash for the pack. Think I saved $40 usd. I hear they are bringing a new engine in the new year. Should up the graphics tremendously. RR has the best gt3 racing out there. Imo. Can't wait to test this update out later today. I would love to see more RR content here. I'd stop by more often then. Happy racing all!
Raceroom is fantastic. Great AI, great FFB and physics, great sounds. It has custom championships, most current GT3 cars, is the home of DTM esports and many interesting tracks you dont find elsewhere. Graphics are not amazing but servicable and the overall performance of the game is pretty solid. It is my to-go sim when it comes to custom championships against the AI. The adaptive AI in this game is super impressive i think.
Agreed that this is the most underrated. It is the 'salt' for my racing roster, as I always mix it into my racing schedule to get the flavor of real racing again. Racing the Crossles and slow cars is super fun, as they require a lot of real car control but also, as you mentioned, the netcode is great an lends itself to close racing. The player base has been lacking a bit, but hopefully this update and your video feeds the servers for a while. Thanks!
The sound is the best in the industry imo. It just sounds mechanical and raw. I usually like graphics over sound but in sim racing games sound is so much more immersive. The physics are also very good. Really playful and fun! It just looks dated and the tracks are a bit off it seems like to me at least.
The sound is absolutely second to none. Very accurate to what you'd hear in reality especially in the cockpit view. ACC has better exterior audio but the cockpit audio is heavily lacking compared to Raceroom. Gearbox simulation is also so far ahead other sims. It's the only one apart from BeamNG that will punish you for shifting in a stupid way (or if you try to not use the clutch or half-do it like AC1 on a synchro'd h-pat), it's just amazing.
I just wish the graphics were more up to date. The subdued colour palette works if it's an overcast day but for sunny days and stuff like that it tends to look really weird. Reminds me of PP colour correction movies do where it's either piss filter on every clear sky and sunny scene or full Latvian colour palette on overcast/rainy scenes. Thankfully it's not iRacing levels of "I paid way too much money on this game for a permanent piss filter" levels of bad but it could be better with negligible performance impact.
Plus, it's still the only sim with the best Porsche cup car ever, the 964. And the only sim with good classic series rosters that you could do proper racing with, but then again all people care about is GT3 or modern cup cars with sequentials. Hell, even the 86 in iRacing has a sequential when it would be far more interesting had they kept the 6 speed manual.
Looks like you got the true M4 GT3 experience on the straights. :D That thing has by far the slowest top speed of all GT3s in R3E, but is quite good through corners, so it all evens out on a single lap. And there is a reason why all official ranked GT3 races get a custom BOP...

such a great and underrated game, of course it has its bugs and issues but as a whole it's a very solid racing game for free and the packs are cheap too so it's totally worth it!
Ultra underrated. I can only imagine how better it would be taking raceroom and just copy paste it on better graphic engine :) (of course with no budget limit)
Raceroom is a Gem!! I am too more into ACC lately, but Raceroom has a special place in my heart!! As you said, most underated racing Sim. (edit : Hi June ;p )

Fact is RaceRoom offers a lot of the same content as the road racing section of iRacing, but for a lot cheaper. If you want to eventually play iRacing but find that it's too expensive (which is completely fair) then it's pretty much perfect. Something I think is really cool is that you can drive an F4 car on almost every track on the Formula Nordic calendar in this one. A lot of people know Rudskogen from iRacing, and now you can also get to know Vålerbanen which I'd say is the other track worth nothing in Norway.
For only 100 USD you can unlock all of the content currently available in the game, which is over 50 tracks and 200 cars.
The only thing the game lacks is community, but I think videos like this might change that. Hopefully we'll get some more content in the future and not only this one video.

The best thing about raceroom is the ffb when shifting, its so immersive thats why i don't understand why other sim titles don't have it.
The unfortunate side of R3E is that all the popular streamers play it when there is an update, make a video and then never look at it again until the next update. Not your fault, thats just the way the way things work. The circle of play what is popular and gets views is the death of every other sim that isn't ACC/iRacing as nothing else gets the same publicity.
I like Raceroom mainly for the huge selection of TCR cars. What I don't like is how unforgiving it is about track limits, one millimeter over the white line with all 4 wheels and your lap is invalidated regardless of context, and what's even more infuriating is it even stops the clock after that, at least in practice mode, so I can't even know if I've at least done well in the rest of the lap. ACC is much more reasonable about it, there are a few places where it lets you over the line a bit but still within reason, like I was driving Zolder the other day and it would be pretty painful if you couldn't abuse the kerbs at the second chicane, or in Spa if you couldn't yeet it over the kerb at the top of Eau Rouge which is very easy to do even accidentally.
Love RaceRoom. The sounds are the best IMO. Just downloaded the update so I'll be trying it soon.
Such an awesome game. Great handling model, physics, car roster, just all around an awesome platform for simracers and on top of that it's free to play. Such a shame that is has such low active player numbers.
I love that you are running Raceroom. I love it. IMHO the biggest problem with Raceroom is that it is not a mutli threading title. It will only use 1 core of your multicore CPU. This means when you add 100 cars (I do too) the game will run like crap in a ton of traffic unless you have a full fat PC as all the calculations are on 1 core and the game is VERY CPU intensive. Until they fix this massive and glaring problem RR will never be prime time. The best thing about R3E is that you can run 100 cars on Nords. The worst thing about R3E is this single core nonsense. It's what holds it back and I am flawed they have still yet to address it. They are just lucky CPU's are becoming powerful enough to run this game like we do on 1 core. Single Threaded titles are destined for the back seat, just like R3E.
It’s the same with Microsoft flight sim. It’s just how the game engine works. Not really an easy fix for game devs. Very annoying though.
@@MadRabbit92 I agree with you 100% in everything you said. That said though I stand by my comment, this title will never be prime time with this silly single core execution. I'm shocked that with a title so old, (by sim standards) the devs bring out Physics fixes and tire models. I am sorry, but at least a statement from them with regard to this glaring problem would be cool. I do love R3E very much and frankly if they would fix the single core issue and open it up to modding they would have a runaway success (again!). But no, they keep bringing out updates (lipstick on a pig), maybe one or two a year, and they never address the elephant in the room. The greatest multi class sim racing experience is still running on old tech and a single core of your 10 core cpu. This tech is from many years ago and cannot live up to its potential due to a lack of, what appears to be, foresight from the devs. 100 cars on the Nordschleife is epic beyond epic and this title could make itself the Nords title of titles but no. We need physics and tire models. Just seems lazy to me and misguided. They are properly F'd when it comes to Nordschleife, ACC is about to leave them in the dust, then what does this title have that no others do? Nothing.......... The minute ACC puts 60 add cars on Nords the life of R3E is over. There will be no point in owning it. They just let it die. What a crying shame.
Using dxvk would result in an massive fps boost and better cpu utilization!

To me I am a sim racer of upcoming 6 months and even though RR is my only sim i’ve tried to me it’s the best low price sim you dont need to spend more than $0-50 to have some good fun
I prefer ACC and LFM, but in RaceRoom I look to drive other classes just for fun. But now when the AC is on the LFM... Its getting interesting.

I have 0 (Zero) experience racing in real life... But I still feel that Raceroom is numb. I can't feel anything, and next thing, I'm spinning, and I can't save it... Maybe the tire update did something? But Raceroom still feels really numb and a hundred kilometers disconnected. ACC is so much more immediate and informative with the FFB compared to the updated Raceroom. But I love your videos! Better than anything on tv! You're the best! You and Peachy Aenne! Everyone go to PeachyAenne and like her latest vid and ask her to come back!!!
I think it depends on the Track.
For an example Watkins Glen in ACC where FFB feels like soap, but Brands Hatch on the other side feels absolutely great.
Currently I only played some hours in R3E on Nordschleife and for me the FFB is feeling realy good, maybe a bit better than ACC (more Grip feeling).
I installed RR a million years ago and I remember thinking that FFB felt like a dead fish and crashed into the next corner giggling

The 100€ Full Pack is very well worth it, considering what you get for it and compare that to certain others ;)

well, considering Race Room is kinda the successor to the Race/ GT franchise and GT3 is coming up, there kinda is a successor coming I guess... I hope it will have similar content at some point as R3E has or Race Injection back then (still got it on Steam, good old sim)

I´m still hoping, that this will be possible in a stable way in near future within multiplayer gaming.
I really love Raceroom, but i never get more then 40-60fps. Don't have this problem with ACC or AMS2.

Yo mate! Thank you! Well if you mean ACC LFM PRO, then you need at least 4000+ ELO. So only recommendation I can give is to do 25/45min races and finish as good as possible to gain the ELO. It can take some time but its the only way :)
I'm actually sad about phisics update, because you can't adjust abs, and I was playing on mouse 🐁 😂 with some good results I would say

Still wondering how many Cars will be available to race at the same Time. For me to have a proppper Nordschleife NLS/ VLN Feeling it needs at least 80 Cars. But i think so many Cars or even more compared with ACC and massive Nordschleife will be Death for my PC :D
Yeah considering we have 105 limit on Suzuka (but it makes a lot of people PCs go boom) and 82 on SPA. I think 100 would be perfect limit, so we can do 25x4 multiclass :)

And sure we dont have as many Classes as in iRenting or Raceroom BUT with the upcoming GT2s we would have 5 Classes (GT3, GT2, GT4, M2, Porsche Cup) if you would count the old Porsche Cup even 6, maybe even 7 with the old Lambo ST (but i guess those two nobody drives). Ferrari Challenge isnt suitable for this kinda Multiclass so i dont consider it.
If Kunos bops the GT3s AND the GT2s propperly like irl there would be no Problem. Some GT2s already drove on the Nordschleife and they arent completely overkill on the Straights. I think if any they are slighty faster on the Döttinger Höhe and got a tiny bit more power out of the Corners compared to GT3s, but like GT4s are slower in the Corners. I hope they do a great Job so the Multiclass Experience will be the best possible :)

Co byś powiedział na pomysł, że walczysz na torze ze sztuczną inteligencją i z innymi graczami i nie wiesz kto prawdziwy gracz a kto sztuczna inteligencja na torze i kto ci robi kuku. To by była jazda bez trzymanki. Ogólnie brakuje mi wyścigów waszej paczki All Stars na tym torze bo on uczy pokory. Niedawno nawet Dave Cameron się o tym przekonał, wystarczyło na sekundę stracić czujność. Nic dziwnego, że swojej wtopy nie opublikował.

Ele tem alguns problemas graves, a baixa quantidade de pessoas jogando talvez seja a principal delas, uma boa solução seria se as corridas ranked de níveis baixo fossem apenas com conteúdo gratuito. A quantidade de servidores é ridiculamente baixa, se você mora abaixo da linha do equador, não importa sua velocidade de internet, aquele carro vai estar bem mais próximo do que você imagina.... Os gráficos não são tão ruins quanto ao Iracing.... e por falar em Iracing, a economia do RaceRoom não foi feita para países com salário mínimo abaixo de US$500,00, e isso é um problema grave, em promoção, para se ter o conteúdo completo o custo equivale a um AAA recém lançado....
Porém, quando você começa a dirigir em R3E, todos esses "pequenos detalhes" desaparecem como por milagre ou um passe de mágica.
Deixem o F nos comentarios pelo melhor simulador que nunca foi....

60 Tracks + 100 Cars for just 65,- EUR is not a good value?!
I paid so little for the whole thing, half that amount for 1 car and a month of tracing.
