april, you're amazing at this!! you popped up in my recommendations a week ago and i've watched every single one of your thrifted transformations since. you're so talented! keep up the good work xxx
this is only the second one of your videos ive watched after discovering your channel and i am amazed and completely jealous with your talent!!! i subscribed!!
I like how you show the whole process, even including your trial and error and how you come to your ideas..rather than only showing how the garment was made, it's refreshing! 😄
I really appreciate that you also mention your initial plans, how sometimes plans don't work out, and you have to just continue being creative and making new plans work. Skills for days. Very cool.
I come from a family that is talented in sewing..had sewing class at school and was great at it then left it for ages..your making me love it again..your incredibly talented ..and I love how you show every error that faces you so we could learn..Thank you soo much 😊
I love this series!!! And I'm so glad you show us the entire journey from the thrifted piece to your new creation. Seeing all your little mistakes and thought process makes the project much less scary, and I no longer freak out when I mess up, it also gives me a lot of great ideas to creatively overcome those hurdles. I just enjoy watching you design these clothes, your creativity is incredible and your designs are gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing with us 💜💜💜
I really admire how you tried out working with this fabric and learned about it as you went along. That you didn't avoid the fabric just because it was new. And I LOVE the results on you! It looks so fabulous! Way to go!
I buy old leather jackets/skirts/pants that are dirty or stained (or reek of smoke- that NEVER comes out) and make balls and mice for animal shelters- they always need toys, and they are so simple to make (the mice are two pieces with ears and tails sewn on, and the balls are 6 identical pieces sewn together- I make them out of fleece or sweatshirt too). I fill the mice and balls with catnip for the kitties so they can have fun with them. It takes maybe 10 minutes to make one of each- if I cut out all the leather beforehand I can make them super fast (if I used a machine it would probably go faster, but I enjoy sitting and watching tv while I sew). I also make reusable grocery bags out of old tshirts- people always have tons of them; I make them when I am bored (or sick in the hospital ,which I am a lot- since they are no sew you can make them anywhere), then leave them at the grocery store for other people to take and use.
I love how you describe your process especially when you find yourself changing your original plans. It's interesting to see how they evolve throughout your projects. I love your channel!
I loved seeing you overcome roadblocks and experiment when things weren't working. All your transformations come out so perfect so it was inspiring to see how you deal with setbacks!
i love how even if something doesnt work out for her, she still includes it in the video and shows the process from the original concept to the end product
LOVE the transformation!! I also appreciated how you approached what you learned as a report (and not how you already knew about working with suede). You come off as more approachable of a host that way. And it makes the rest of us, who make PLENTY of mistakes, feel more comfortable. GREAT work!
I REALLY Don't understand all the thumbs down ☹️ cause GOD has TRULY BLESSED you with the QUEEN OF TRANSFORMATION GIFT!!! May HE continue to Bless along your journey. Just found your channel and looking forward to seeing more videos!! Girl, YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Keep doing what you do!!
I've watched a lot of your videos and this one is my favorite. I've been recycling fashion since before it was cool. I'm 39 now, I started doing this in junior high. I've always loved fashion but can't see spending a fortune on it. I love making unique pieces no one else has as well Sending much love and blessings, you are so talented. Stay true to yourself and your passions.
Love your channel!! I wish i had the time and money to learn skills like yours. I always dreamed of learning to sew. my mom passed away before she could really teach me. but watching your channel gives me comfort because i imagine she would have gone over all you do. 😌
I like when you take the time to teach small tips for handling specific types of fabric. (i.e. sewing longer stitches when working with leather/suede so you don't weaken the seam). Love your videos!
Well, that's really complicated to do and not everybody is her size. If you want a general idea, you can just pause the video at the points where she shows her paper cutouts. 😊
I really love how you talk about the things you learned about the material you used as well how you had to change your original design, scrape certain ideas etc. It lets me know that even you (who is amazing and super talented) is still learning and doesn't have things work out perfectly all the time. It basically gives me hope :p So thank you :)
can you do a video on how to make those popular style flowy tulip shorts? they sometimes have Pom Pom trim. I have an old, sheer long-sleeve blouse that I'd like to up cycle into a pair of sheer tulip shorts to use as a beach cover up. I'm new to sewing so I'm not sure where to start. thank you!
+Rachel Booker Normally suede is not made of animalhide. It is often made of a blend of polyester and cotton. So if you dislike using every bit of the animals we eat (cowleather and sheepskin, etc.), you can safely use suede. :)
I really like how you take us along the process of how things go wrong, so that we can really see how it doesn't have to go as planned to turn out good :)
You have the most unique clothing line since you created those clothes. Every girl would probably ask if they didn't know your channel, "where did she buy those clothes?". You are so awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I am obsessed with princess seam dresses without a waist seam atm they are so flattering on all figures and I wish they were more popular. It would be amazing if you could make a video on how to make a pattern or how to sew princess seam top/dress in detail. Iv been thrifting quilt covers from my local stores for $5 to use as inexpensive fabric as I'v just started sewing and don't want to buy expensive fabric in case I mess up. I love your videos so much, keep up the good work.
Nasty indeed. The problem with suede is that you can´t wash it, so that´s a difficult material to "thrift". But I too have bought items with nasty stains or holes or other problems, people wondered why I´d buy those useless things. For upcycling purposes though, they´re great. Cut off the damaged part, wash and reuse the rest.
this is probably one of my favorite transformations I've had the pleasure of watching you do. i love that you show your thought process and how and why you change your mind when it comes to the styles and details 😊
If you press the bell next to the subscription button and click the box for "send me all notifications for this channel," that problem should be solved, I hope
i bet when people are like hey your top or skirt, blouse, dress etc. is cute where did u get it and she says i made it from thrifted clothes ppl dont believe her lol becuz it looks so good not diy
I'm really digging your thrifted transformations right now. I hope I can sew, my grandma died before she can teach me and I'm just amazed how good you are. That top could pass for an expensive one beautifully done April!
Omg u are like my new inspectoration i was sewing but got bored but couldn't thin of anything but you have showed me the world of possibilities of creation thank you so much

SAME!!!
Same here, so amazed at this talent ^^
I like how you show the whole process, even including your trial and error and how you come to your ideas..rather than only showing how the garment was made, it's refreshing! 😄
You should audition for Project Runway!!
+michele chastain YESSSSSSSSS
And then after she is famous, have her own show and a boutique so people could buy her one-of-a-kind thrift creations
I was thinking that too.
I was thinking of that!
+Douglasville Darling tbh I would buy so much from that store and I hate shopping lol
I really appreciate that you also mention your initial plans, how sometimes plans don't work out, and you have to just continue being creative and making new plans work. Skills for days. Very cool.

I have no idea why this popped up in my recommendations, but I love what you do! Keep on doing it! :)
lol ikr I was actually watching anime and then this showed up but I love how she changes old clothes so beautifully! You've got great talent!
Lawliet Frost SAME!! And she's so talented!😍
OMG!!!!! This is the best transformation ever!!! Omg!! It's SOO pretty & looks like something from H&M or Forever 21
Boho chic! All your "failures" turned out to be a destined success!
With that kind of talent at your age you need to be designing your own range. I'm blown away.
This transformation was beautifully done.
I really admire how you tried out working with this fabric and learned about it as you went along. That you didn't avoid the fabric just because it was new. And I LOVE the results on you! It looks so fabulous! Way to go!

I like this because you actually know what you're doing 😇😇
This would look so pretty with rose gold eyelets!
I love how you describe your process especially when you find yourself changing your original plans. It's interesting to see how they evolve throughout your projects. I love your channel!
That is so cute! I wish I had the skills and the patience for this lmao
I loved seeing you overcome roadblocks and experiment when things weren't working. All your transformations come out so perfect so it was inspiring to see how you deal with setbacks!
Oh man that original skirt is heinous. #goodwillnightmares
Great job !!! If you can transform this, you can do anything!! Project Runway!
OMG. Yeah! She could've a great chance to win
Ari Lehnen i want her to join project runway so bad
i love how even if something doesnt work out for her, she still includes it in the video and shows the process from the original concept to the end product
You should've been on Project Runway! I'm sure you'd kick ass 👍🏻
Just what I was thinking! She would win no doubt haha
i think they emailed her but she told them she wasnt ready, but dont quote me on that
The fact that you have the imagination to see that top out of that skirt is amazing!
THIS IS INSANE!! It's like you have a super power
With every video (and I'm watching them out of order), I am more in awe of your vision and skill.
What should I transform next?! :)
+coolirpa please to more dresses with sleeves and skirts 🙂 wish i had your skills to do all this.
oversize top into a dress
some kinda super comfy knee length skirt? I've only been able to make one for my daughter so far
I'm not as bold as you so I'd love to see some more modest dresses. You look great showing your tummy but I'm just too shy. :)
PLZ make a peplum top!
LOVE the transformation!!
I also appreciated how you approached what you learned as a report (and not how you already knew about working with suede). You come off as more approachable of a host that way. And it makes the rest of us, who make PLENTY of mistakes, feel more comfortable. GREAT work!
Why doesn't this channel have more subscribers? It TOTALLY deserves more... like a lot more. (dat meen ah lottt)
Now THIS is your most imaginative transformation ever. Very impressive!
this is sooo cute, looks like something from free people!
Keep doing what you do!!

did you have sewing/fashion education somewhere or you just learned by yourself? you are super talented!
Dude she's so awesome. I thrift constantly and I usually get stuck just layering clothes because I can't sew like this.
I believe she's self taught
+Sri Widiani I think she took a class (maybe several) in high school :o
+Sri Widiani she took a sewing class in high school she posted it on her snapchat
+Kirstin Flake ikr! her sewing is flawless
I love how you include the ideas that don't work out and the clips. Like a little trial and error for us to learn from too, love your channel! :)
You are stupidly talented.

+TuxedoPig101 its like ridiculously talented
Sweetie, the stuff you make is magic! So inspiring!!
Holy crap! Ur so talented!
What a clever young lady , you are......yes thumbs up for recycling, I do it all the time, & always have, I hate waste of any sort, Well Done.x
I bet people ask her where she got it from and she says " I made it." How cool!
I love thrift store shopping. I've never thought about transforming items. You are very talented.
CAN YOU GIVE US THE PATTERNS in a link or something? thankss
Well, that's really complicated to do and not everybody is her size. If you want a general idea, you can just pause the video at the points where she shows her paper cutouts. 😊
smart smart
the best part of these thrifties is that there's only one-of. no one else will have it. i wish i could sew! i have tons of ideas.
You must save tons on clothes, if I had your gift I'd always make my own clothes.
I really love how you talk about the things you learned about the material you used as well how you had to change your original design, scrape certain ideas etc. It lets me know that even you (who is amazing and super talented) is still learning and doesn't have things work out perfectly all the time. It basically gives me hope :p
So thank you :)
This is so cute 💖💖 you're so creative I love your channel
I won't be surprised if I ever see your clothing line hit NYFW. This is pure talent right here.
can you do a video on how to make those popular style flowy tulip shorts? they sometimes have Pom Pom trim. I have an old, sheer long-sleeve blouse that I'd like to up cycle into a pair of sheer tulip shorts to use as a beach cover up. I'm new to sewing so I'm not sure where to start. thank you!
At my age I could never wear most of your designs but I'm very impressed with your imagination and vision.
this made me want scalloped potatoes 😬
😂
yassssss
imagine someone asking you where you got your clothes from and you can happily say you made it yourself.
Best feeling ever!
i normally dont like when people wear animal hide but at least in this case it was recycling and no more animals had to die to make such a nice top!
+Rachel Booker Normally suede is not made of animalhide. It is often made of a blend of polyester and cotton. So if you dislike using every bit of the animals we eat (cowleather and sheepskin, etc.), you can safely use suede. :)

this is absolutely amazing!!
You have the most unique clothing line since you created those clothes. Every girl would probably ask if they didn't know your channel, "where did she buy those clothes?". You are so awesome! Thank you for sharing!
she needs her own brand!!!!! i would buy it all
I am obsessed with princess seam dresses without a waist seam atm they are so flattering on all figures and I wish they were more popular. Can you republish/upload so it can be viewed by all subscribers?
If you press the bell next to the subscription button and click the box for "send me all notifications for this channel," that problem should be solved, I hope
