- Chris Santacroce talks to us about having a pre-flight checklist and why it's so important. Every paraglider setup is slightly different but generally the same steps are required.
R - Reserve, is it attached securely?
1 - Helmet buckle
2 - Carabiners locked and loaded
3 - Harness straps, one waist plus two legs
4 - Corners of the glider oriented properly
S - Stirrup and Speed System hooked up
T - Turn direction
A - Air traffic
R - Radio
V - Clean looking V's on the brake lines
E - Everything else
Thanks for the constant reminders. These videos are super helpful for the beginner to the advanced. Even the most hard headed intermediate pilots! 🙏🏼🦅🤙🏼☁️🏴☠️
Theres a lot of shouty people out there, I enjoy Superfly vids because they are calm and and sensible, keep up the good work Chris. Over on this side of the pond our pre-flight mnemonic is, Will Geordie Have His Cat Aboard Today. Your bands are a good idea, would be happy to wear one but Im in the UK, wouldnt do much to promote your school :)
Thanks G - how’s the Geordie Cat preflight go?

I've been flying since 2019, but this is a great refresher.
The Pre-Flight check is part of the fun! I'd like a bracelet. :) It's always nice to have a visual cue. Even as one who follows this religiously. :)
Spectacular video and lesson as always! Teaching-excellence! Quality, experience, knowledge, good judgement and Louisiana hot sauce ... bravo!!!
Thanks Chris good instruction
Such good energy from a great teacher!
Awesome stuff Chris.....................always learning from you!
Great points. Cruise check is so important. I took off from a harvested pumpkin patch and had a gnarly root in my brake line inducing a turn. A quick check and I landed, cleared it and reset for a great flight.
Thanks for putting these out there for us. I always learn a lot.
This video makes total sense. Definitely worth your time.
Always learning is the best attitude!!!
Marvelous video, committing these checklists to memory.
Thanks!
In aviation, it's all about checklists! Thanks!
Just found your channel after a recommendation to you from Robert Michiels. Look forward to meeting you in the future for some lessons. Thanks for all the great information!
So good!
Leading by example!
What ever your system........
Dont be distracted!!!
And if you are mid way....

Great info.
Love watching these videos while I"m stuck in the office working on my stuff. Are we able to grab a bracelet if we swing by the Super Fly store?
Anytime… We would love to see you and we had the revelation that they are actually “ wristbands” lol 😂
Awesome!
Nice!
I've found my gopro to be a distraction for me on takeoff and in flight
hey, thanks for the tips. I think you skipped letter “S”, what does it stand for?
Nice one Eliza - second person to point it out. Shows how easily one can be skipped. It’s speed system connected and foot stirrup if you have one. Great catch.

@@mowtivatedmechanic1172 Sister Clips, also known as Brummel hooks, are the small metal clips that attach the speed system to the risers.
