The birth of the Crystallize .. amazing :'D
Yessssss
In case you were wondering what software he's using...
1:00 - Albino -synth
1:08 - Ohm Force Ohmicide -distortion software
1:29 - Ni Massive -synth (usually used to make dubstep basses)
not like I'm a musical genius or anything :/
so this was the beginning of crystalize. That video has like 100 million views now. Who would've known.
200 million now
Was this the making of Crystallize?!
+Seth Downing Yep. Little did Lindsey know that it would blow up and make it into the top ten most viewed videos in 2012. This proves that Lindsey isn't in the game just to win.
Even when it's stripped down to just a bassline and a chord progression, Crystallize is still a beautiful frickin masterpiece!
The making of Crystallize. Ahh... :)
Crystallize!!!!!
CRYSTALLIZE :D
1:45 that was the cutest sneeze ever xD
She's so cool. I use the same language when I try to talk about music. On a side note, the lisp is adorable!
so you speak dubstepish??
I love dubstep my music teacher is teaching us how to play ode to joy both keyboard and ipads
lol your lucky my music teacher makes us use weird sticks that code notes to make songs.
I agree, you have to put out all the ideas good and bad and THEN select what you like and prefer
The correct quote:
"In any creative process, I've learned you can't be afraid of bad ideas, because if you're afraid to throw out a bad idea, the good ideas are just gonna get stuck in the back of your brain behind all the bad ideas. You have to throw all the ideas out there on the table: the good, the bad, and the ugly, and that's the only way that you're gonna find the awesome ideas, is they're are hidden amongst everything.
So! Don't be afraid of giving the bad ideas!"
You're so adorable.
I could hear the beginnings of Crystallize! :D
Also I never noticed this before, but your hands were like super red in this video. Were you painting something just before filming?
love his music set-up system
What program do you use to do this? Also how do you compose the violin parts?
1:44 This song sounds a little like Crystallize :O Am I right?
Ola Ga It is
Which programms do he uses?
That moment when Crystallize is born. Amazing how far you have come!
This sounds like crystallize
you guys have amazing talent. ideas are hard to come by when making something original
i was wondering who was the awesome musician "behind" the violin part. the one making the dubstep and giving life to the music .... so it was MARKO G!
you guys are awesome!
They are really awesome !
They are really awesome !
Zizi's journey is pretty hardcore. It is mixed, but very "violent"
Firstly, 1:46 Bless you,
Secondly, "I love the little twinklies" Musical genius right there.
Which software did you use please ? :)
pro tools + ableton + Ti2 ?
to feel the beat I do absolutely the same moves with my arms, if I am into rhythm :))
gogo powerRangers,.. pow pow
This guy Marko is really cool and awesome, I like him.
Mee too
We would love more of these kind of behind the scene vids :D
I'd be more interested in seeing her making the violin parts for her songs (and covers). I mean I'd like to see how much she improvises and how carefully she chooses some notes.
You two produced songs like Electric Daisy Violin and Shadows? They're really awesome!
Your music is Incredible!!! And you are amazing on your own Lindsey!!! And I won't stop!
Wow, it's so crazy that I've been following Lindsey's work since 2011 and I didn't see this before... 😍🔥
Ohhh it's Marco G. ...I thought it was Mark OG
I'm loving the random faces during cuts and playing sounds. Never stop being you.
I really like the sound at 1:32, but I don't think Lindsey ever used it. Maybe it morphed into Crystallize. (Or Elements, as some others say? I don't hear it, but I could be wrong.)
Roger Finney It's Crystallize, just not the final version of it.
***** it is
tiene un carisma este amor!
One of the things I really love about Lindsey is that she's can such a goofy, dorky gal sometimes. And she really loves what she does! It's those qualities that make her such fun to watch and listen to.
behold the beginning of crystallize!
It sounds like warrior concerto by the glitch mob
1:45 the cutest sneeze in a history!
ur stuff is so amazing! like i knew that i loved the sound of a violin more then any other instrument, but u took it to a new level with a whole new type of sound and style. keep it up cause u are making beautiful music and videos
omg, she is so cute :D
Really enjoy it!!! You make my day all the more brighter.
All your videos are the reason why I started playing the violin next to drums, piano, bass and guitar! You rock ;)
That was a dubstep sneeze! God bless you Lindsey!
"In any kind of process you can´t be affraid of bad ideas, becausen if you are affraid of bad ideas, the good ideas will just stuck in the beck of your brain behind all bad ideas" -Lindsey Stirling
When Lindsey said wown wown wown it reminded me of Swag
they are making Crystallize! Crystallize's birth
lindsey, any musician understands you studio language. it is what makes us musicians make music.
That sneeze at 01:45 was absolutely adorable! 😍
"If you're afraid to throw out a bad idea, then ideas are just going to get stuck in the back of your brain" ... I've never heard it put that way, but that makes a LOT of sense! Good advise!
You are not the only one that does this weird sounds while listening to dubstep , I actually do this alot OMG
i like your old\original hair color and style please get back it please its more beautiful on you !! believe me !!! and you can ask your fans in your tours !!
That's true , I love her brown her , it is more beautiful on her .

What program do you use to make the dubstep??
ty-ny-ny na-na wow-wow woooow-wi (subbass & wobble) + drum + Violin of Lindsey + ambient keys = Epic sound :D
Does anyone know what software she's using?
what Mic do you use to record your violin or do you plug straight into a preamp in the computer?
@1:45 so cute!
@121NomNOMNom121: The Title says "Making MY Music" - I thought she meant her violin music and dancing, and not her secret electronic-channel :)
Wow! Thanks for uploading this! It is nice to see how you guys prepare the musics ^^"
Okay, so like, i found Lindsey's videos at like...3am in the morning, i was having coffee (yes i'm a caffiene addict, still a ridiculous time) And the first video i saw of hers, it was Crystallize, and when i heard the piece, i was like "This girl has got some serious talent". I remember i tried Violin as a little kid, and failed dramatically, and so i gave up, but after hearing this girls music, i picked up the violin and am trying all over again. Thanks, Lindsey.
1:46-Be healthy Lindsey! grow big :)
Now I am even less ashamed of making instrumental sounds with my mouth (creepy smile)
Thanks Lindsey!

I love how you're wearing all black and then yellow socks with purple hearts!
What music making program do you use?
I can't wait to hear your work with dubstep! That's going to be SO unique and awesome.
In this video you are making the best electronic song of 2012, awsome ;)
They are using Ableton live 8, and a a VST known as "Massive" both basics to any electronica music in today's day and age.
You can't be afraid of sharing bad ideas, if you don't the good ideas are just gonna get stuck in the back of your head XD
Lind you are a real artist!!
Tech question, what program do you use to record your tracks? You start with a lick drum? I write with a guitar. to arrange the song with. Then I find a drum beat that works with the guitar and then I lay down the bass track. Then I listen to the feel of the song. I like to sing, so I listen to what I wrote about a 100 times and around half way through I work on the melody with gibberish sounds, that eventually form words that work with the feel of the song. After about 2 days I have it finishd
It's crazy that they're working on Crystalize here, and that's kinda the main song that made Lindsey blow up.
I enjoyed watching this since I know how the finished product sounds now :) They make a good team!
Lol 1:05
"Ooooh!"
Wich program are you jusing to make the music? :)
id love to hear the violin on its own just to see what its like in this song :)
2:34 i loveee her expression haha so cute

This is great, thanks for sharing! I've always wanted to create my own beats and music and now I know how! :-)
This is the birth of Crystallize
I love your ways of trying to explaining what you want in the music :)
1:46: bless you Lindsey
1:47 bless you lindsey
awesome vlog Lindsey
2:34 LOL adorable
"In the studio, I speak an other language". Hahaha ! That's just awesome :)
Was the song you making in this crystallize
At one point I diligently heard some of the song in it
He's wearing sunglasses inside... coooool. ;D
No but seriously, he makes good stuff.
wait a minute?! Lindsey doesn't produce her own EDM?!
+CrunchyLikeness If only aha
1:45 Bless you, Lindsey ))
3:08 her "random jibberish" is cute :3
I'm a small time producer of many styles of genres and believe me, I understand that other language you speak when you make your music. I'll mimic a drum beat and write it out, mouth dubstep drops, guitars, strings, bass, effects, and even vocals. Its all apart of being a musician.
I bet like everything that she made the beat for Crystallice
1:51 bless you lindsey :)
