Ive only got one CAT at the moment but it goes with me everywhere along with a couple compression bandages. I might look into these, if nothing else for training theyd be useful.
Funny how sometimes you look so hard for something to be bad and it just isn't bad. The last two were both seven not six. 56 years of an average mans life and I've never, ever needed a tourniquet. I have several. So, if it were to work just once, I'd say it's definitely worth $5.
I agree with you. These are pressumed to be one time use and cost becomes a factor of greater importance to those who must buy them, but may not have the same higher probability for thier use.
I never even thought about this stuff. I just know how to apply it. At the end of the day I don’t care where it came from as long as I don’t bleed out and i know about laying in the road bleeding out. I’ve got about 8 of those cat tourniquets. Great video.
I agree our name brand TQs are expensive. No argument there. The question I have on the cheaps is quality of materials. Your windlass was bending. What do you think would happen with that being in a car kit, dead of winter, northern USA or high summer months in NM or Az. Temperature is going to impact those materials. I have had GHB buckles break when changing to spring clothes after being in the trunk for the winter.
I was always taught if you have to put on a tourniquet you don't loosen it or take it off, you let someone with an M.D., A.R.N.P., or R.N. after their name do that
I just ordered 5 of the cheap ones.. thank you sir..!! Simper-fi..!!
Doc here, they DO NOT loosen them anymore. Once applied it’s done it doesn’t come off until a hospital.
I see someone is a chosen fan
thats right! i love that show! we have watched it thru both seasons three times now and went to the christmas movie the other night. you?
Thanks for the unsponsored review, greatly appreciated.

the recon medical one, at 16 bucks, might be a good middle road.

part of that one time use factor would be cleaning it after use

that is a valid point and why i plan to only stock these cheap-ass tourneys in large med packs that i have 3 or more name-brand ones in.
No 22 year old Swedish camera girl. You get Birdie and that's all.
missy put you up to that.
