This video is MAAAAAD underrated. Thank u sir.
Haha! Thanks man. I appreciate that.
Fulaan... I'm glad I discoverd you! This is one of the best channels I've stumbled upon - on point, informative and entertaining. Thank you!!!!
I appreciate that man!
Love your videos. So informative, punchy but not over the top. I finally pulled the trigger on the Sigma 18-35mm. Thank you for your dedication to your profession
Thanks for the kind comment. Congratz on the lens, I'm glad I could help.
A great thing about Sony is that you can choose crop mode or full frame mode for your APSC lenses on full frame cameras. Canon forces you to APSC, Nikon forces to crop too. I don't know about Panasonic L mount ones.
Yes Sony is ahead in that regard for sure.
Dude. You are very informative and entertaining. Love your videos. I'm going to upgrade my setup finally as I have been shooting on a woefully old Canon T2i. Im jumping into the mirrorless world and I like the R quite a bit. I have quite a few lenses I still like also that I want to keep using. You video hear shows I have nothing to worry about there. Thanks very much for the work you do. I am now subscribed!!
Awesome! Glad I could help
Just today I went to the shop to buy a Canon R8 with the intention that I would use my EF-S lenses. The sales guy said that I couldn't. I was devasted after saving my money to buy the body with an adaptor. Came home pretty upset not knowing what to do. Decided to jump on CZcams and see what people had to say. This was the first channel that popped up. Bro, you saved me a lot of money and have resurrected my dream of owning the R8.
As a thank you I have subscribed and liked this video. Peace Bro!
Thanks! Glad I could help.
Excellent advice, thanks Fulaan! I'm a Canon M50 user, but upgrading to full frame is a goal. Your tips are very helpful. I'm saving this video in the 'Library.'
Thanks!
Apreciez comentariul amabil
I bought the 18-35 back in 2013 for my 70D and still use it to this day on my Sony A1/A7iii. Definitely a legendary lens.
100%
What adaptor are you using I have sigma glass n afraid of the transaction to Sony help please Ty
Yo brother you kept it 100% real! I recently sold the RP for the R and have the adapter. The 10-18 works fantastic on the R in 4K and I regret buying the RF 15-35 even though I love it! You sir have earned a subscriber!
Thanks Daisy! I appreciate the kind words.
I feel so overwhelmed trying to figure out what lenses will be best for my EOS R. I've watched like 30 seconds of this video and while my question hasn't been answered (yet), your video has just calmed me down. You've got a great editing style and super colorful personality, you could literally tell me anything and I'd take your word for it. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate the support.
Man i like your logic and spirit. You just got a sub and a fan!
Hey I appreciate that Anthony! Welcome to the channel, I hope you enjoy your stay. Peace!
Love the no-nonsense approach. Appreciate the intel bro!
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful.
But is it really the case that the full sensor is used in terms of light intake though being cropped 1.6x when using APS-C lenses? That confuses me. So in the end, if I use the R8 with the EF-S 55-250 I’d have an advantage in terms of light compared to using the lens on my 90d APS-C camera? 😮
Once the Camera is switched to crop mode it acts exactly the same as a crop sensor camera would.
Bars! Your technical content is great Fulaan. But I'm not going to lie, what I really like is the humor and entertainment factor. No reason you can't get both in a great CZcams Channel and that's what you have here my friend.
Thanks Gmoney! I appreciate that!
I never comment on videos. Bruh...you're underrated. Best coverage of this topic I've seen.
Thanks Ayman!
yo kid... You A "Rapper" lyricist ... Love your videos...

What's up Tony? Yeah I like a little word play here and there lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.

I appreciate that man!
Just picked up a Canon R6 MKII and I couldn’t be happier! I have tons of EF-S lenses I got used on the cheap.
24mm STM, 40mm STM, 50mm STM, 10-18mm STM, 18-55mm STM, 18-135mm STM, 35mm STM macro, 24-105mm STM, & 55-250mm STM.
I primarily purchased these for my 90D & C100 MKII. The C100 MKII has facial focus lock but only with the 35mm STM prime and zoom STMs. I’m a one man show so I need decent facial focus.
In my opinion, the 90D works better with some of the STM lenses, especially the 18-135mm. The best lenses for it is from what I’ve heard is the 24-70mm f/2.8 (L) II. The 90d is temperamental due to its high pixel count on that crop sensor.
That being said, these lenses with their STM quiet focus motors work completely seamlessly on my R6 MKII. The camera recognizes the lenses and automatically crops them.
The 24-105mm is an EF full frame STM and doesn’t crop on the R6 MKII. From the images that I have taken, and for what I do, the EF STM holds up to my older USM 24-105 f/4 (L).
Anyway, another awesome video that will save folks lots of bucks! 👍🏾
Thanks for sharing. I also use many EF and EF-S lenses on my RF cameras due to the advantage of having the built in ND adapter as well as the price of the lenses. I also use them on my S5 II without any loss in AF functionality or anything. Aside from saving money the fact is that the RF lineup is still missing many necessary focal lengths so it's nice that EF and EF-S lenses are an option.
@@FulaanCreative
Facts!!! 👍🏾
I got the adapter with the drop in NDs after watching one of your videos. That helped me with a plan for mirrorless. After having the C100 with built in NDs, the drop-ins are brilliant! I’ve collected this gear for Bible study lessons & hobby. I need your channel to help me save some money while not putting out hot garbage.
Thank you 🙏🏾
You have truly blessed me with your videography talent/teaching, and I’m trying to be a blessing to others.
What's up guys? Please note that none of the aps-c lenses I mentioned are officially par-focal although I thought they were due to how they were functioning. Also someone mentioned that the r6 and r5 are able to shoot high frame rates in movie crop mode where as my Eos r is not so do keep that in mind. If you liked this video you can also check out this playlist for more content czcams.com/video/uzQMRvLBO_I/video.html

This channel is HIGHLY underrated. Keep up the good work man, you'll be huge in no time.
Also, this video popped up in my notifications though it's my first video of yours that I'm watching,
May the algorithm bless you
Hello Gohario! I sincerely appreciate your kind words. Thanks for the support man! Talk to you later.
Always informative ...
I think r8 for example is awesome camera, especially for video. but it can be good for casual photo walks with small and cheap rf-s zoom lenses. while fullframe 55-200 will be very big, heavy and expensive
True
When using crop mode on an EOS R, the crop into the sensor reduces the resolution to 12 mp. That's a pretty heavy price to pay for using ef-s lenses on an EOS R.
True. For Video it doesn't have that effect but for stills at is the case.
i have to follow just cause i love that chip shot lol
Haha! Thanks Kareem.
And A Bag Of Chips... Nice.. Not heard that in years/decades. lol
Haha! I'm showing my age i guess. Peace!
Great video! You are hilarious too!
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you bro. You helped me alot😅😅
Glad to hear that
The start of the video had me laughing 😂
Lol, yeah I can't help but to be a little silly sometimes.
great and informative vid! thanks! when you use enhanced IS when shooting video with RF-Slens on R8, what's the crop factor? or does IS even work with RF-S lens?
I shoot photos like I film and use diffusion filters 😊 planning to buy $200 tamron 10mm-18mm used on my canon R8
Nice. There's a lot of value in a lot of older gear
Tested a Tokina 11-20/2.8 on the R and it does not auto sense and does not force camera into 1.6crop, but it vignettes throughout the entire range. I also have a Tamron 10-24 VC and it does sense it is APS-C :(, maybe if I could downgrade firmware backwards, but not sure that's possible... I also have the M50m2 so maybe with the speed booster and as vignette goes away on that lens at ~14mm I use that :)
Yeah, it's a hit or miss with each different lens. Best to try it out before purchasing.
I subscribed as soon as you said “it’s not all biscuits and gravy”.
Lol
@@FulaanCreative I just bought a Canon R body after selling all of my Ef lenses and 77d a year ago. Just now getting back into it but the full frame aspect is a learning curve now. Great info, my man! Love the content and your personality! Very engaging!
@@ManerCollective thanks! Congratz on the camera.
I like this guy!
Thanks!
Choices to make. I have a 90d which is a fantastic camera, want to upgrade to the canon eos R , just don’t know about the crop factor and it would limit the video capabilities to 720p and won’t get 60fps
Why would the EOS R be limited to 720 and why wouldn't you get 60 fps? It can shoot 60 fps in 1080 and 4k up to 30 fps
@@FulaanCreative I can? I thought it was limited to just 4k and that was it? I’ve looked at a video on the eos r using a asps lens and it automatically went into crop mode. So full hd1080p ,24fps was not there due to it being a full frame camera. The only thing you could use is 4k that’s all
@@asayaisrael2859 That doesn't sound accurate. When I put any aps-c lens on my eos r I am able to get 1080 24fps. What goes away is 1080 60 fps
@@FulaanCreative hmm I was looking at couple videos and a lot of viewers were saying that once you put a crop sensor lens on a full frame camera it’s limit it’s capabilities especially in video mode, unless they went to another mode , all I saw was 4k no 1080p just 720p and I was I don’t know if I should buy it. What about 24 and 30 are you able to get them as well
Love the intro haha keep it up bud
Thanks man!
Informative, visually well constructed and hella funny at the same time!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and commenting.
Really nice man
Thanks!
Maannn I just be chilling watching these vids 😂
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Damn, thinking about getting the R8 from the M50 but now I’m unsure about all the lenses I got. I want to hit that 60fps up to 180 in 1080p.
Yeah unfortunately you might have to sell the m50 along with al the lenses.
Bro this video is excellent. For me one of the best videos talking about what I needed to know ever. I have the RP and now I’m gonna invested in some EF and EFS lenses man. Great work and keep it going and keep them coming 👍🏿👊🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Thanks! Just a note though. Somebody mentioned the other day that the rp forces you into 720p when using EF-s crop lenses. EF full frame lenses are fine though from what I understand.
@@FulaanCreative Yeh I feel that EF is the way forward for me, but I won't sleep on an EFS if it's a ridiculous price. My wallet just doesn't want me to look at RF Glass lol
Thank you
You are welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting Erik.
Just as a speed booster narrows the picture from full frame to APS-C, a 1.4 converter widens the EF-S picture to full frame size. And also: the 1.4 converter does not stick out to damage the mirror. Only: Canon's and Sigma's converters stick out on the front, so that you still have to remove, widen or replace the plastic disk, but Kenko's converter does not stick out on either side. And the modern Canon R cameras regognize the Canon and Sigma (but not Tamron!) EF-S lenses as APS-C and force a 1.6 crop. No way getting around it, as far as I know.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting video!
I just got a Canon RP and when I put the Sigma on it, it just went to crop mode. I'm wondering if I can do something to use it on fullframe mode ...
Most of the 18-35 force the camera into crop mode. Mine was on the old firmware so it didn't force it into crop.
Lol.... love your videos .... what area r u in???.... man I need some video help.
Thanks! I am glad you enjoy the vids. I move around a lot, currently I am in Turkey.
good work
Thanks Stephan
Oh Thank yahh bruh - you just made me feel better about the RP purchase. So, it literally is just that you use the camera from 28 mm onward with APS-C lenses.
Glad I could help! Depending on the lens, yes. There is also crop mode where you can get more focal length as well.
@@FulaanCreative Do you know what the max video resolution is in crop mode? Now there is a geek party video. This coming from a college professor who just got an atem mini for making zoom classes more engaging.
@@matthewlarson3058 the max resolution is 4k. I think the way it works is the that you don't lose resolution or quality, the only thing that happens is that the pixels become larger but I don't really know the technical details so it might work a little different than that but I know you can get 4k without losing image quality in movie crop mode.
Great content. I had this exact question when I got suggestions from the store. Man, knocking it out of the park
Thanks for watching and commenting Jason!
I hit that like button with the “cripple hammer”. Great video.
Thanks! yup, just trying to call it like I see it.
I need help I'm trying to figure out right now about to buy a new lens and I can't I shoot a lot of archery all right outside stuff so I won't be real far away from the camera but not real close and then doing product reviews obviously I could use that wide angle lens to 16 mm 1.4 Sigma but will that work outside
Any lens will work outside you just need to put an ND filter on it.
Dope video!
Thanks! I appreciate it.
Awesome video man! Wondering, do you know if the new EOS R8 will have this crop mode too??
Thanks! I would assume it does but can't say for sure.
Great Video - Liked the way the details are explained in simple terms. All the bests.. And wish to keep hearing more good information.
Thanks!
Your a champ 👏🙌
Thanks!
Nice video mate. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Thanks! I appreciate it.
Thank you for the review 👍.
The more important concern for me is when Canon applies a 1.6x crop when using Canon EF-S lenses and just leaves us with the middle 12MP out of the 30MP.
Good point but that is more relevant for photos as opposed to video and 90% of what I do is video. If it was the other way around I think I wouldn't use them as 12mp would be ok for online posts but not for prints or other types of photography. Thanks for the heads up Filip. Peace!
Nice video brother, LOVE the delivery. I have made a few videos but still need tons of practice.
Thanks man! I appreciate that. I am glad I am getting positive feedback about some of my latest videos. If you look back at my videos when I first started the videos and the delivery were horrible, almost embarrassing lol. Especially the one I did about the sigma 18-35 vs efm 22mm. So don't feel discouraged if you aren't where you want to be now. Just try to improve/fix 1 thing with each new video you make. Once you start to get into your flow you will see a big difference! Thanks for the kind words. Take care.
Great video! Is there a mode where I can use the crop sensor lens to take picture on my R8?
Yes I believe there is but in photo mode it reduces the megapixels of the photo where as with the video mode it doesn't matter as much.
@@FulaanCreative Great thank you. I located it. I have a sigma 18-200mm EFS (I believe and glad I can now still use it. I figured it out for photos now. Glad to know about the megapixels. I'm mostly a video guy other than family photos and random pics between shooting.
Like always Fulaan you are the man!!!! I only wish I had the money for the R6, seems to have all that I want. But for now I guess the M50 Mark 2 is going to be my choice, just need to master product b-role technical details to make it pop.😉
Once you get your product review channel going you will have enough money to buy both of us an R6 but until then don't sweat it the m50 will do the job just fine :)
@@FulaanCreative Hehe, that would be great but I think it will take me some years to reacj such level😉 but thank you for the support.🙏

I didn’t know that the sigma did that in crop mode. Smart brotha.

For the Sigma 18 /35 the latest firmware screw up the lens. Before I could mount it on an EOS R and you are able even to take photos in 35mm in full frame. After the update it only work as APS C mode.
Thanks for letting me know. I have to make sure never to update it.
All RF lenses are like $2,000! Let me ask you if I put a 10mm EF-S lens on full frame, what focal length will i be getting, 10mm or 16mm (1.6x CF)?
You will get heavy vignetting unless the camera has a crop mode.
I have learned so much from you! Thanks so much!
Happy to help!

Thanks Mahmoud! I am glad you are enjoying the videos.
Just upgraded from eos750D to EOSRP. Thanks this video helped a lot. One question, when you say photo quality is almost the same, will the crop lenses allow the EOS RP to use full 26 megapixels?
Video quality is pretty much the same. It's a little different with photos. Also make a note that I made this video while shooting on the EOS R. The RP will limit you to 720p when using crop lenses if I remember correctly.
Great video:)
Thanks Wei! I appreciate that!
which will be better ? 1. Canon RP + EF 85 mm 1.8 prime Or 2 . Canon R10 + RF 85 mm 1.8 prime ? I am looking for better picture Quality .
I would go with the RP. 85mm will be very tight on an APS-C camera like the R10.
@@FulaanCreative if i use RF 50mm 1.8 ?
@@redowanahmed6082 On the RP it would be 50mm and on the R10 80mm which is good but too tight for general use. The optimal range in my opinion is 35-50mm in full frame terms and 18-35 in aps-c terms.
Great video man! I bought the sigma 18-35 when I was shooting with a crop sensor canon 80D. I recently upgraded to the eos R and it is a great lens for 4K on the eos r however it is killing me that I cannot shoot 60fps 1080p with this lens on the eos R (the option is grayed out on my camera). Do you know why the crop sensor lens affects the frame rate?? Also what lens would you suggest to shoot full frame on the eos R? Thanks for your time!
Thanks man! I appreciate it. Unfortunately some of the sigma 18-35 lenses have updated firmware that makes it such that they can only be used in crop mode and hence no 60fps. I have been really enjoying using the Tamron 15-30 and I recently made a review video about it. Let me know what you think. Peace!
Fulaan! Your videos are the best man! But wait a second! Are you saying the Canon EOS R has a mode on it that lets you use an APS-C lens with no black framing vignette on it? Does that work for stills too?
Thanks Man! Yes, it has a mode called movie crop mode for video which gives a 1.8x crop. There is also a manual aps-c crop mode for stills that gives you a 1.6x crop although I have never used being that I mostly do video.
@@FulaanCreative nice! Thanks for the info! People have a lot of criticism about the Touch Bar. How have you been doing with it? Is it a nuisance or useful at all?
@@henryIRL Honestly I just disabled it. I'm not really in need of any extra buttons/functions etc. What I like about the Canon system is that everything is accessible through the touch screen, I hardly use any of the knobs etc.

Thank you my OG for dropping these jewels. I just purchased the canon RP and want to use my Canon APC lenses with the EF to RF adapter. Question: Am I going to lose image quality and will it automatically crop. Thanks so much
Thanks for the kind comment! I forget the details regarding crop mode on the RP but I remember that there were some limitations compared to the EOS R or other RF cameras. Thanks man, really helpful
You are very welcome.
Hello, sir, how do you get around the lack of OS on the sigma 18-35? I get around that issue by using the 17-55 EF-S 2.8 instead... that has OS in the lens. Do you have any other tips, thanks!
I just turn on the digital IS on the camera and use a neck strap to stabilise.
Hmm, isn't the digital IS very bad? :( Maybe it's better on the EOS R, I am still shooting with an m50.@@FulaanCreative
@@penkatadrums It's not bad even on the M50. Don't use the enhanced setting. Use the normal IS. It's mainly designed to take out any micro jitters which it does a very good job at.
Awesome, thank you very much, sir!@@FulaanCreative
Hello, sir, again, I have one more question, regarding the EOS R, I really have problems understading this, I am looking to get an EOS R now to upgrade one of my m50s, and I would still like to use my EF-S glass, but when I got an RP for a test run last week, when I put on that EF-S glass, all the 1080p video options were grayed out!!! What kind of a sick joke is that! The camera could literally only shoot 720 or 4k using EF-S glass!! I am wondering if that's the same with the EOS R? I know it can't do 60p and I am coon with that, but can it at least do 24 25 and 30 1080p? Thanks!!!@@FulaanCreative
very amusing!
Thanks Julian!
Heres the one caveat that I've heard: because you put a crop lenses on the cameras, you're reducing the amount of sensor used with the crop. Wouldnt the video image quality really suffer on say the R6, where you go from a 20mp with a 1.6x crop to a 7.5 mph of sensor used? On the EOS R you can get 11.25mp and the only one I think you could get away with would be the R5 with a 1.6x crop resulting in a 16.9mp for the sensor. And on the R5 you get the downgraded 8k through the crop. Wish we could get comparisons of the two. Live the vid regardless, but this IS what keeps me up at night. 🤣
Thanks for watching and commenting Daniel! Honestly I don't think it reduces the image quality of video at all but I could be wrong. Because even though it is using a smaller portion of the sensor it's not stretching out the image/resizing it. So I believe even on the r6 it is the same quality. Take for example the as73 which is a 12 mp sensor or something close to that, when you use a crop lens on it it is less MP than the r6 but I have not heard that the quality suffers in crop mode. The only way to know for sure though is to slap a crop sensor lens on there and compare. Thanks for the input, let me know if you end up trying it out and if it does indeed reduce the quality. Take care Daniel.
Yes exactly, there's more to it than just the number of mega pixels.
Wow. Interesting info. Thanks for sharing!
Them chips bruh 😂😂😂😂
Haha. I really need to start eating healthy though!
I thought the EOS R lost it's duelpixel AF in 4K + a 1.7 crop?
No, just has massive crop in 4k but the AF works fine. The M50 loses AF in 4k plus 2x crop.
@@FulaanCreative OK, I saw a demonstration where the 90D beat the R for 4K AF.
Great info! Thank you for posting it.
Thanks for watching and commenting Tony!
Posting it here to ask opinion: #1 I noticed the field of view is narrower at 24mm at full frame (R6 with RF24-105mm) compared to a EF-S 15mm crop sensor lens mounted onto an APSC (15-85mm mounted on 70D) - it is supposed to offer the same field of view but it seems I was able to capture more space on the crop sensor lens + ASPC.
#2: I mounted the EFS 10-18mm onto a mirrorless full frame and it looks good - however need to zoom in / check in detail to see the impact of supposed resolution drop
Any thoughts/ personal experience?
Interesting about the 15mm. I have no idea why that would be the case. It should be exactly 24mm at a 1.6x crop. Do you have stabilization on or something else in the r6 that is making it crop in? Regarding the 10-18 You can zoom in to get rid of the edges but I found that for video in most cases it's not bad. For photos it may be more of an issue.
@@FulaanCreative Thanks for sharing :) I had both lens turned on the IS, but did not turn on the digital enhanced stabilisation feature in the R6..but again I did not do the test in a lab; just using proxies/ items to match the field of view as close possible. My test could be flawed. Noted on the 10-18 comments :) If I mount the 10-18mm EFS onto R6, technically it should give a field of view of 16-28.8mm on the R6? (or 10-18mm in APSC)
Great video... keep it up... and I used to love my M50 too.
Thanks Terrence! I appreciate that. The m50 is an oldie but goodie for sure. What are you shooting on these days?
@@FulaanCreative After the M50, I bought a pair of Canon EOR's. I just recently sold one of them for an R5. I'm still getting used to it. Haven't even used it on a job yet.
I’ve got a t7i and I’m debating upgrading to an RP or possibly a 90. RP because if it being mirrorless, 90D for the video. I’d also like not having to switch lens mounts with the 90 because I have purchased multiple EF/EF-S lenses. Any thoughts or input from anyone would be awesome
The RP at a discount price is good. The EOS R is also very good if you can get a good deal on it. If you go with a newer camera like the EOS R50, R10, R7 or R8 you could still adapt your EF lenses.
Great video Bro! Had to sub up! I also upgraded to the eos r after owning the m50. Both are great cameras btw. You’re totally right … G.A.S is a real thing!
Thanks Kasz! Yeah, both great cameras for sure. Welcome to the Channel, I hope you enjoy your stay. Take care.
Great video. Any info on if the still photo quality is that much worse. Love using my sigma art for events as the 1.8 really helps and would like to continue with the r6 if the quality is somewhat negligible. Usually shoot medium raw or small raw for music events etc.
Thanks! I pretty much use my camera for almost 99% video so I don't have too much experience with stills unfortunately.
Do you know why i cannot use 100fps with my 10-18mm on my canon r6. The movie cropping is enable by default... It's super annoying.
Canon Cripple Hammer...
So if I have a 24mm efs lens, what will that crop to on my r6?
38.4 mm
Awesome video! So is the R sharper when enabling movie cropping when recording in 1080/24? And there’s no hit to low light performance?!
Thanks chris! I am not sure if it is sharper (although it very well may be) but I definitely didn't see any loss in sharpness and low light is the same as well.
@@FulaanCreative awesome thanks! But you don’t gain any additional bokeh correct? Meaning even if you are now cropped in to 180mm it still has the same background blur as it would at the normal full frame of 100mm?
No you don't gain additional bokeh unless you use the speed booster. I explain more about it here: czcams.com/video/ZV-uXIlC3VA/video.html
How does the 18-35mm perform on the Canon R6?
It will pretty much be the same as using it on the Eos R. It Will work very nicely in movie crop mode but will be missing 120p or 60p or both possibly.
4k 60p works on R6 with Sigma 18-35mm
@@2zChazz Nice. Does it work even in movie crop mode though? Because it is normal full frame mode it will function normally other than the heavy vignette from anything below 28mm.
@@FulaanCreative yup the R6 automatically goes into crop mode when it senses the APSC lens
will r8 with rf-s 18-150 still do 4k60fps?
According to the specs it will - 4K UHD cropped (16:9) 3840 x 2160 (59.94, 50, 29.97, 25, 23.98fps) inter frame (IPB) / (IPB Light)
Great video, Fulaan! I have an 80D with an 18-135mm EF-S lens that has a PZ-E1 Power Zoom adapter. I love that lens! But will the 4K look bad compared with the 4K oversampled from 5.1K using say the RF 24-105mm kit lens, apart from the fact that the RF glass is better?
Hmm, İ think the 80d has the same or similar sensor to my m50. Sometimes in my videos I am mixing shots that are 4k from my eos r with shots that are 1080 from my m50 and you can only notice if you really pixel peep. So i think you will be fine.
Thanks Fulaan! The Power Zoom adapter gives me the 'camcorder feel' when I'm shooting video. Also, I may not need to invest in the RF 24-240mm lens.
Subscribed and hit the bell.
Awesome! Welcome to the channel.
How about in photography?how many pixels are left if you use a crop sensor lens?
On Eos R it is 1.6 crop mode / aspect ratio option in the menu. The result is 4176 x 2784 - 11.6MP
nice clip ~~ thank you so much
Thanks Eric. I appreciate it.
Hi, very interesting advice, I plan to purchase EOS R for portraits mostly, but I also wanted to use it for bird photography however there wouldn't be enough reach I think.. so I was thinking about using EOS R + a APS-C lense like 250 mm which would make it 250 x 1.6 so 400 mm not sure if that would work.. any advice how to use all benefits of full frame for portraits and yet have a hobby using it for bird photography with a telephoto lens that can be affordable :)
Sounds like a good plan. The canon 55-250 is what I use for wildlife and birding. On the m50 you can get up to 600mm with that lens due to the extreme 4k crop. The eos r has 1.7 crop us another .10 if you turn on digital stabe so that would give you 450mm, if you need more reach then you could turn on the enhanced stabilization but it might give you some weird warping and stuff...
