When Chris left Home Free we all worried about what would happen. Chance brought new creativity and growth. I hope whoever they bring aboard will also do that. Austin will still be around and his solo work has been very good
A big smile comes to my face, because even though the weather is cloudy, gloomy and chilly here in the Netherlands, when I hear this song, the sun shines inside me. I have had tiring and emotional weeks, but then you suddenly realize what certain music does to you, in a positive way. And it's not just in the beautiful voices and the best beatboxing they have, but the total feeling they give.

So fun! If you want a similar vibe (maybe this summer?), Straight No Chaser released an EP called "Yacht on the Rocks" which is a bunch of classic chill covers, most of the videos were shot on a yacht!
Jennifer! Ahhh, some Home Free. And still with Austin. I gotta tell ya I almost pity the person who has to follow Austin. They are going to be dissected and judged by all the Home Fries to no end! This is off the new album Crazy(er) Life which is another 10 year anniversary album. The original was Crazy Life which was the first album after the won The Sing Off. Another song comes out tomorrow April 5th. I always enjoy watching your reaction and analysis to their music.

Adam really worked the percussion well in this one. He carried the whole song perfectly. The rest of the guys were just so darn smooth and the harmonies are delightful. I am really going to miss Austin now that he has left Home Free. It will be interesting on who joins them or if they don't have another person come on board. Another great reaction Jen
This is actually an updated version of their 2014 song (a decade ago 😮) in which Tim has much less rasp. I'd recommend watching it to compare and contrast. The video is also adorable.
Austin is going to do great solo. HF will probably get Chris Chatham, to take over for Austin, there’s only one AB! ❤he can’t be replaced. Rob would do great solo as well, in gospel or opera music. As much as I like Chris Chatham, he is by no means a replacement for Austin. A fill-in, maybe, but not a replacement. I hope they look a lot further than Chris. I know he’s been wanting a spot for a long time, but there’s got to be someone out there that can take over. Chance was more or less a one-to-one replacement for Chris Rupp….actually better than one to one because he (Chance) had the bass range that Chris didn’t have. Chatham would be a big step down. Just my .02
what i don't understand is why everyone is so surprised by Austin leaving. Go back to when Austin first joined th group (not band they are a capella so no musical instruments = no band) Austin was the main lead singer. a majority of the songs they sang focused on him or him and Tim and their amazing specialties. once Chris Rupp left the group the focus slowly started moving away from just him and more and more started splitting up to all of them and everyone started to get the recognition they rightfully deserved. Unfortunately, that meant less was on him now. Now this wasn't a bad thing and i don't think it was even an ego thing on Austin's part. However, if you notice when the group really went full force into everyone really being equally lead singers, that's when he started pushing himself in his social media outlets. And as time went by i mean REALLY pushing/advertising himself on social media. Austin is young, but not to the music industry. If he had every dreamed of being a solo artist, he needed to leave and leave while the iron was still burning hot. And with his social media presence he still has his HF fans, but is now reaching an even younger audience as well. This was strategically incredablly genious and financially smart on his part. i'm actually surprised he stayed or as long as he did. His loyalty to HF is such a wonderful thing to see in this day and age.
