It's really good for BTB and socials in general, tho in HCS settings it'd be bad cuz the amazing setups could be cheesed out with no effort and the reward in getting full map control would be not as high, we truly have to test HCS settings
Get rid of it. Sure it’s annoying to be spawn trapped, but it’s still an accomplishment for the other team. It’d be really annoying to watch an enemy just walk away from you after you set them up.
They need to focus on synchronized spawning/team spawn , cause that's 1000x worse . Nothing worse than killing 3 of 4 players going for the 4th and he takes 0.1 milliseconds of cover and his whole team spawns next to him 5ft in front of you . They get rewarded for dying by spawning next to more guns with a loaded weapon and full of grenades taking u out and everything you had and workedr for . By just dying . Good work . This issue pleagues MCC as well .
I really agree with this, and also noticed it a bunch during the flight tests. I hope this gets adjusted, or at least I hope to see options in custom games to tweak the team spawning influence.
Just keep it in social modes etc. HCS thats such a harder call but for social matches its toxic to the flow of the game for the wide range of player skill. HCS will need to come to that conclusion once they have finalized a rule set and see how it plays out
The main issues I found with Halo Infinite's spawn system is currently around spawn protection and group spawning. My opinion is that Halo 5: Guardians had the most-balanced spawn system design-wise, however players had a thruster pack that allowed for combatting off-spawn. Spawn protection could remain if Halo 5: Guardians spawn influence system was utilized.
u literally can't do anything in a spawn trap cause ur just spawning getting team shot. thing is u can't avoid a spawn trap by urself. casual games spawn prot yes but not comp
You need to be inferior to your enemy team by quite a large margin in order to get spawn trapped. And at that point, it's quite clear the game is lost anyway.
That twitter reply is so stupid, acting like getting spawnkilled is just something you can work around. There's no "skill gap" to getting killed by spawn campers lol

And most importantly, not get dominated by the enemy team so incredibly hard, that you collectively get spawn killed. And if an enemy team has absolute map control, especially in 4v4 maps, spawn protection is going to do jack-all for you. It literally is delaying your death by a few moments.
i think if they did it in a way that didnt feel nauseating like after being killed within 1 sec of spawning then add spawn protection or something like that.
I'm a little late to the debate but I think spawn protection would b a great thing for casual playlist just like radar and no friendly fire and then in ranked have no spawn protection
Great video Laz n' Paradise Halo. Not sure how I feel about spawn protection yet. We don't know how it'll be utilized in final release, what game modes it will/won't be used in etc. I can see it being a great idea in BTB, but in objective based arena gametypes I could see it being a problem.
Reward players for setting up!!!!! Not much different than winning a fight and gaining an easy power weapon. You still have to maintain the skill to pull it off. Also a spawn relocation multiplayer might be good to add so after getting spawn killed you won’t spawn in the same location. A spawn influence multiplier is what I’m talking about. Nades influence spawns, team deaths that influence spawns, player placement that influence spawns an objectives…. It’s lazy to add spawn protection only. It’s better if it’s not in the game overall especially if it’s longer than a second
Yeah, that could be interesting to see. Kind of how it was in Halo 3 where spawns would eventually rotate, even though an obvious spawn trap is already in place.
Multiplayer is free, meaning it is available to a larger and casual audience, who need protection from the sharks that make the montages that crop up on this channel. I'm cool with it. Maybe certain game modes can disable it

I think spawn protection is okay but it should be absolutely minimal, I'm talking like 200-400 miliseconds

It has no place in a competitive game mode. Gives the spawning player too much advantage.
I think you should be able to turn it on and off in match settings

Maybe line of sight with specific power weapons could help as well so rotation would be the next key for spawn trapping and it would take more skill

I feel the pistol in the game is slightly inconsistent but the game over all is a blast. I absolutely love it
