Man. There’s no doubt that the new ones look incredibly polished, and it’s so nice to see these classic games revitalized and modernized, but there’s something about seeing the characters’ disembodied heads in “Look Away” that will always be unbeatable
I like the remasters they did of the games themselves,but something about the original sound effects&music was just so much more crisp&satisfying.Picking up a coin bag in the original was like ecstasy when that sound would play.

Fun fact: the enemy in crazy cutters only pops out if you have over 80 points, a callback to as long as you had more then 80 points in the original you were good
Only this time they also based it off the mario party two version where you also need the highest score to win

48:34 Wish they added coins to the falling items in honeycomb havoc like Mario party 2 did. Coins are good here for one of 2 reasons:
1. encourage players to pick outside their number of choice for coin reward, randomizing things for everyone.
2. Even if you didn't win the minigame for the 10 coins, you'd still make that one or 2 coins you needed for the star on y'alls next turn

I mean, a lot of the Superstars changes are carried over for The Top 10 (both being developed by NDCube, which took over the series after Hudson's acquisition and closure by Konami), so that's really the only thing I can think of as to why Coins don't appear in the Superstars remake.

Honestly I feel like Mario Party 8, 9 and 10 got screwed with how little minigames came from those three games. I understand that most of them relied on motion controls since they were Wii and Wii U titles, but there were still lots of non-motion control minigames that could've come back.

My Favourite is Mario Party 10. It has a lot of modalities to play (even without board) and placements can get you coins regardless (in the others but Mario Party 9, only the winner picks coins).

I’m sad they didn’t keep the Super Bowser 64 background in the face lift mini game.
One thing that bothers me about this comparison is the original games weren't in Widescreen so all the original captures are fat and squished. Otherwise this is nice.

Plus this mini game exist before you guys know dalonga from squid though I know dalonga is a snack from Korean in a long time before squid game even exist

I know it’s just a minor thing but I think it’s a shame how they ditched the personal colour scheme everybody had in the earlier titles. I feel it gave each character their own personality and style.
It seems they toned them down in 6 and ditched altogether in 9.

There are small details lost in the remake, that I do miss - the coins rotating around the winning head in Face Lift, the Piranha Plant spitting out coins in the Tug o' War / the Bowser-suit winner laughing at the losers.. Ugh, Tipsy Tourney replacing the unique ~painted art~ design of the target image with a glossy FIRE_FLOWER_STOCK_ASSET.PNG is pretty lazy.
Lord, are the characters noisier, too; Handcar Havoc was a nightmare to listen to.
Stuff like Bombs Away, and Mushroom Mix-Up are alright, though.
First mini-game was perfect for peach 🗿

I'm probably in the minority here, but...I'm not a huge fan of the new look. They often look way too bright (look at 1:22:04, good lord) or go overboard with the realism like with Boulder Ball.
Fancy lighting and graphics are nice, but alot of the original games are far easier on the eyes. Ice-Rink Risk for example had the playing field stand out more in the original, and Spin Doctor has a strange new look to it that I think it didn't need.
Don't get me wrong, some of these _are_ improved from the original, namely Bumper Balls, Face-Lift, and Pogo-a-Go-Go.
