15:59 so yesterday i gave a homeless woman some tater tots and today i got called about an apartment with the hud program with 2 bedrooms and I also got a call about a high paying. I gave up my career as a Licensed Cosmetologist due to the pandemic three years ago. I've been searching for a job since. then. My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. @@Channelccw my recommendation would be to pay yourself first until you’ve at least created your Peace Out Fund (aka emergency fund) and use any remaining to pay off high interest debts first. If you can get the interest on student loans frozen or lowered, do that as well. Are you located in the US or Canada?
I was in the same boat. I saved up $1,800 in a short amount of time… I decided to put it towards my student loans (unfortunately I didn’t know to tell them to apply it to the principal. They only applied $78 to the principal). A couple weeks later, i got injured as was on disability for 6 weeks. I was paid 60% of my income on disability. Had I paid myself throughout the year first… I would have been okay. 60% pay… my car almost got repoed. Paying yourself first = security.

I genuinely want to know how do I pay myself first if I have accrued line of credit debt from the time I was out of work and can never break even each month since then? Should I use the line of credit to pay into my TFSA etc?

Instead, once you’ve been paid, pay yourself, then use the remaining to pay off your mandatory obligations (rent, groceries, debt). Please let me know if that helped 🙂

I genuinely want to know how do I pay myself first if I have accrued line of credit debt from the time I was out of work and can never break even each month since then? Should I use the line of credit to pay into my TFSA etc?
Just uploaded an in depth video on paying yourself first! I can’t give you direct financial advice but I would not recommend using your debt to pay yourself first. Instead, once you’ve been paid, pay yourself, then use the remaining to pay off your mandatory obligations (rent, groceries, debt). Please let me know if that helped 🙂
