I really don't get why people just rip dirty rat on turn 2 against an empty board, it's like a 50/50 to lose the game on the spot depending on what decks you are seeing, no way that's worth an early overstated taunt.
Tbf rogue doesn't typically run anything that can really hurt you

Thadiuss really needs to swap arts when it swaps polarities.
It's crazy to me that they never thought about that. It's not even necessary pay for a different art, just recoloring the Lightnings from blue to yellow was enough.
Even the Worgens had a completle new art whenever they swap Attack and Health and they were all packfillers.
Maybe they didn't do that because Thaddius has a diamond card?
Or maybe it's because Thaddius, unlike other art-changing cards like the worgens, Corrupt, Infuse etc , can change text while it's on board?
But I'm playing devil's advocate here, I agree that having to check the polarity each time is a bit annoying
They're saving that idea for the signature version of the card, sold for 60$ along with 2 random legendaries! That's 30% extra value!

They took away Warlock because people got mad looking at a big board. So they said fuck it and put another OTK deck in. Its actually quite funny to see their priorities.
It's quite insane at that point, so many cancer stuff would be stopped if they just had this one simple rule (not less than 1 being mandatory for any discount)

Blizzard : we decided big minions going to 1 mana was too much. So we enabled more combo decks.
Grrrrr im so angry that blizzard changed thaddius from a really boring big card synergy to something that opens up potential for super cool, but not meta-defining combos like this one 😡😡😡😡
@@Ryniano It's not really a cool combo though, it's the same degenerate solitaire that's come up time and again anytime they have an effect that lets you consistently play cards for 0 mana. It always results in a fast, explosive combo deck that is either game breaking or just barely not consistent enough to be good but unfun to fight on ladder.

Nice ! Coud you try the same concept with Rhyme Spinners(helps to clear taunts) and Necrolord Drakka ? They all have an odd-mana cost. Will be less efficient if you can't sufficiently ramp up the spinners when facing big minions, though

wouldn't mc blingtron be a nice addition to this deck? he's odd cost aswell so he will get the manacheat from thadddius on combo turn and he will reduce the time needed to do this combo drastically as he basically doubles the damage done to the opponent

You don’t need the extra damage unless they build a giant board or your apm is too low.
How on Earth do you even rat on turn 2 ? Especially when your opponent just passed turn 1 and proved they ain't Aggro
Control priest brain always rat on 2 (even if he was a mech rogue he might have titan, mimiron, lab constructor in hand that you don't wanna pull out like this)

This deck is barely powerful enough for Standard. If you want to play something like this in Wild, you play Naval Mine Rogue or Miracle Rogue with giants.
I can't think of a better way to cheat out Thaddius than Bonelord, and that's a turn 4 pass at the very earliest, with double Shambler on turn 3. By the time you get down Thaddius and start playing Beatboxers, aggro decks will already have a giant board if they haven't outright killed you, and Even Warrior will have 50 health. You might be able to get the damage with Brann but that's asking for a lot of combo pieces to come together perfectly.
Would Scourge Illusionist be a decent card for this deck? Its a tutor on Bonerlord with discount, lets you setup earlier, etc.

As a control priest player i get second hand embarrassment when i see a dirty rat on 2. Some people just cant help but play the green glowing card
To be fair, what's rogue playing in Standard these days? I don't think any opponent could have expected to pull Thaddius out of hand...and even so, if the opponent had a slightly worse hand to go with the Thaddius, the priest could have won the game on the spot with The Light, It Burns! on the following turn.
I guess turn 2 rat into Mech Rogue is a pretty stupid play though, too. You could help the opponent cheat out a big body to start magnetizing with stealth.
@@enderdavis591 Crabtoa, mimiron, potionmaster putricide are all really bad hits also if it's miracle. even pulling a pirate or something wouldn't be ideal, it's better to use it alongside removal or before a clean the scene or smt. I see your point tho, if you knew what deck it was it's definitely a fair play

It didn't had Celestial on hand. And Zola was (9) Mana. Plus you need +2 extra Mana to replay Thaddius with Bounce Around.
But he lost cause he didn't realised in what Polarity Thadiuss was. So he would play even with Celestial in hand.
He would have had to have drawn the Projectionist before wasting all that mana playing Beatboxers, but yes, if he'd realized he was off polarity at the start of the turn, he could've perhaps won.
It would've just barely been exact lethal, actually! Mana cost: Thaddius (0) + Ghostly Strike (1) + Celestial Projectionist (0) + Thaddius (6) + Beatboxers and Zola (0) + Bounce Around (0) + Thaddius (1) + Beatboxers and Zola (0) is 8 mana. Before Bounce Around, you get down 3 Beatboxers; afterward, you put down another 4 with the extra from Zola. That's 7*4 damage = 28, plus the 1 damage from Ghostly Strike makes 29 damage for lethal.
Wait, I'm missing two things. The opponent had two extra health on board after Shattershambler traded in, and we had an extra free Celestial Projectionist from Bounce Around, meaning we could play one more Beatboxer if board space allowed... hang on... Thaddius + 3 Beatboxers + Zola + Beatboxer + Projectionist is 7 minions, so we would've been two off lethal since we wouldn't have board space to play the final Beatboxer.

how polarity cards work is dumb as shit, the devs should have took this chance to implement an actual turn count in the game and had the cards have altered effects based on odd/even turns instead of... whatever they're doing right now

I hate how blizzard would rather make a toxic meta making classic legendaries op instead of nerfing them correctly, they value more a single stupid card than the players frustration over months( denathrius taking 6 months to be nerfed, brann, astalor, now this card being 0 mana)
Maybe I am just falling out of love with this game... I've always enjoyed Chumps videos but the last few have been all about winning the game in the first few turns, taking advantage of broken combos that just shouldn't be allowed to exist in the game... there's something cheap nasty and unfun about it.
